Vivi looked down at the delectable dish placed before her; simple in materials, but made with an attention to detail that one could not easily overlook, the man knew his way around a kitchen: that much was certain.

"I, er..." she stammered as the aroma wafted around her and she visibly shuddered. "T-thank you, really... If you insist."
"What is it with these folks trying to get me to eat and drink? I feel bad to keep declining. I guess there's no harm, just don't get carried away, Vivi.

With her mind made up, she takes the silverware and gingerly cuts a corner of the roast off, and opens her mouth and pops the morsel inside.

Her eyes go wide as she exclaims a muffled "Mmm!", the roast itself was seasoned well, using a variety of basic herbs to compliment a red meat, and the potato was no exception to the cooking skill applied. It too was seasoned plainly, but in a manner done just to tease the most sensory experience from this most humble of vegetables.

Before long, she'd inhaled the entire plate in nearly a minute. Looking up with a bright smile of gratitude to the mysterious benefactor. "Wow! That was amazing, sir. Thank you!" She practically cheered as she nodded her head.

"I really shouldn't have overeaten... Ah well, don't make it a habit, Vivi." Slowly, Vivi found her eye-level rise ever so slightly as she found herself about two inches taller.

"I..." she fidgets a little, looking at the bottle with no small amount of uncertainty. "I really shouldn't, not that I can't, but I really shouldn't." she manages to mumble out, still staring at the offending glass container. "I appreciate it though!"

"ah, my mistake. I thought maybe you were hiding in the candle or something. I've never met a talking fire with eyes before." She chuckles, and turns to Conda; "You said the owner went into the back? He's been gone for a while, what was he going to do? Do you think he'll be back soon?"

"Well best of luck to you too, Blue!" She looks around and grabs another bottle cap off the ground, and again began spinning it like a coin on the tabletop. "How come you didn't say hello when we were first coming inside?" She nods at Conda at the mention of 'we'. "We didn't scare you did we?"

She smiles warmly at both of the other patrons. First nodding in gratitude toward Conda, "Thanks, I'll try not to do that. Wish me luck."

Vivi then turns to address the odd blue unmelting flame. "I'm not sure yet, I only know what a waitress does, so I'll probably try to do that if they'll let me, but I'm pretty versatile, and importantly, willing to learn!" she chuckles. "I'm Vivi, by the way. Do you have a name?"

"Water Person?" Vivi wheels around, looking behind her then back at the flame. "Oh, me?" she chuckles. "I don't think so, maybe? Don't worry, you could do much more harm to me than I to you, little flame. But I'll keep my distance, no worries."

True to her word, she took a step back with her hands up, and took a seat at a table near the bar. "There, see? No harm done."

As she sits, she listens attentively to Conda's recollection of events, nodding politely as he finished and returned to his pipe. "Thanks Conda! What's he like? I'm nervous, I've never done an interview before."
A third voice spoke up amidst conda and the mysterious stranger, and at the same time, an odd blue light flickered to life. Vivi ducked behind the banister of the staircase and mulled over her options.

She could sit where she was, and wait in order to keep quiet and out of sight, or she could go down and see who the new voices were.

Vivi was already halfway down the steps before she committed to a decision.

"Conda! Hey, conda, who were ya talkin' to?" she posited, rocking back and forth between her heels and the balls of her feet. "I heard someone else talking, and then the flame lit up, and there was a third voice."

She squinted her eyes at the strange blue flame and blinked. "It has eyes? Huh..."

Vivi pulls back, tilting her head as she inspects the man. She grabs the bottle and turns it over, looking for some sort of label.

"Hmm, maybe he's just drunk, I should leave him alone then."

She turns to leave, then stops, looks back, and oozes underneath him, lifting him up and onto the bed, then pulling the cover over him before leaving.

She shuts the door behind her and walks back down the hall. "I suppose it's not unexpected to find someone here with the owner gone... or maybe that was the owner. That'd be awkward." she mused with amusement as she headed back down the steps. As she tip-toes down, she hears two voices, one familiar, one unknown.

She ducks behind a banister of the staircase and peeks a bright white eye around toward the bar. Trying to remain hidden, albeit poorly.

The door creaked open, revealing its contents to Vivi through a thin filter of disturbed dust. Ever curious and inquisitive, she wasted no time poking her head inside.

What she found elicited a small gasp.

A man, blonde haired and collapsed against the far wall sat motionless. Her first instinct was to rush in and see if the man was well, but she wrestled with the thought that perhaps he was simply sleeping and not a fan of beds?

Finally she worked up the resolve to gently approach, kneeling beside the man and placing a soft, warm hand on his shoulder: “Sir?” She whispered in the softest voice she could, “Sir, are you alright?”
