I'm still feeing "our world", I think it would be interesting to have a world decided by us and some dice, like some alternate history, dig? I mean it would still have some fiction in it (we are starting our own country) but the best fictions have non fiction in them (or a something close).

Oh my god! One of the characters could be a newbie FBI agent in one of the old gangs who doesn't know about the high level conspiracy and when he/she finds out he/she will work with the other characters to stop the new gang.

I was thinking the new gang with the FBI because they are more willing to do things with the FBI to get power whereas the old gangs are already established.

How about 1850? Before the civil war so we have to choose a side and before the Franco-Prussian War, to see whether we ally with France who helped America during the war of independence or the other strong European power. Also 1845 Texas joined the union so there could be tension between Mexico and USA.

How about 1800's onwards USA? There is still lots of unclaimed land, people are coming over from europe because of opportunity and there is tension between the north and south and the native Indian population? Lots of factions to deal with but not enough encompassing government factors to keep us down.
