I'll have a post up then within the next 12 hours.
@MelonHead Would you have the time on the weekends to go on a binge posting session?
I haven't been answering since i hoped i'd have it done within those four days. Though since enough days have passed for me to timeout two times over, i'm not even sure if we're continuing this or not.
@Starfall

I'll have you free to punch my face in short time. Been wanting to have my post be more than a single paragraph long, but life hasn't been merciful enough.

@MelonHead

He is still locked up during the tackle, so unless Gigue manages to get perfect timing and maintain it in spite of his opponent's actions, his chances of successfully initiating the grapple are rather low. He could just try and bash his enemy to the ground and then pin them down once the Hyperarmor wear off, but even then, it's a rather clumsy tactic, since it leaves the opponent plenty room for countermeasures. His wrists, hands, neck and the back of his head are left unprotected, so anyone with a close-range melee weapon can expect to have a chance at maiming or killing him at that range with just a single hit.

Plus, i'm not keen on using that kind of tactic anyways. I like to retain a modicum of mobility as i approach my opponent (hence me deciding to take the hit, after all) and i've also figured out a different way i'd like to use the Hyperarmor in our fight, for which i'll be saving this ability.
Aight, will do.
@MelonHead @Drifting Pollen

Actually, scrap all that. I'm going to save the Hyperarmor for later and instead, just have Gigue guard with his forearm. A flesh wound with chipped bone on the outside of his forearm seems like a decent tradeoff.

Though a ruling would still be nice, so i could know what the spell is and what it isn't supposed to do.

Frankly, i somewhat regret bringing in Gigue with his neutered Hyperarmor, as its current state both betrays the intended purpose and makes it a very niche tool. In most situations, i'd be better off taking some damage and retain my mobility in exchange, rather than use the spell.

Either that shield should not be able to activate while in mid-air, your character should lose all momentum mid-jump and fall in the stream, or your character should be unable to prepare for his fall due to his muscles seizing up and splat onto his face.

I dropped the IC explanation in favor of churning out the post faster; had already crossed the three day limit by an hour or so at that point.

The aura itself works much differently from conventional armor; or even a physical object, for the matter of fact. It moves together with Gigue's body, yet there is absolutely zero force transfer - the aura does not ever actually touch his skin, hovering just a millimeter above. That is due to the aura being fixed to his own Ki system, instead of the physical body.

The above means that the aura does not interfere with the jump's momentum, as Gigue himself is the carrier, so he wouldn't just plop into the river upon activating it.

Before activating the Hyperarmor, he can put his body in such a position mid-air, that when he lands, he has both his feet on the ground, legs crouching, while his arm is put in front and is preventing him from toppling forwards. All he'd need to do for this is stick his arm out and pull his legs up, the latter already naturally occurring when one jumps.

Frankly, i thought i had that included as his landing position of choice in the previous post - but apparently not. Quite a few things i'm omitting from them, intentional or not. :/

The aura would also absorb the momentum of his jump, putting him at a neutral state once he has landed, so he can start moving almost instantaneously, and as result, there would be almost no difference between a jump with Hyperarmor and without, since in the latter case Gigue would have to dampen the momentum with his own muscle force, which would lead to a slight pause in his actions as well.
