- Before Communism, China was a Authoritarian society that had been split between warlords for the past decade and before that was ruled by Equally Authoritarian Monarchy. Not only that but they were mainly a Agrarian society with little to no industry and instead relied on giant plantations, often owned by large foreign companies. After the Revolution China managed to industrialise itself in a span of a few short years (short in comparison to how long it would have taken Capitalism) after of course many purges by the Authoritarian regime that China had become. What you must understand however is that that form of Communism is a warped and corrupted version of Marxism, and carved to fulfil not the peoples needs but one mans desires.
- By denouncing the US Whitlam made a stand for Human rights. Something that leaders would never be so brave to do these days, and not just involving Human Rights Issues but in general.
- Pfft. Your Lefties are a bunch of watered down populist softcocks who use pandering methods even if it goes against Socialism, or even Libertarianism for that matter.

- Perhaps for you but it may not be for others. In any case it is besides the point its a punishment and not supposed to be fun
- Two things. The first being just because you dont like a ideology doesnt mean that the country doesnt exist. The second, could you clarify as to why Communism is so horrible? Can you do better than Revans Exile?
- Just because everyone is doing it doesnt mean its the right thing to do, and these people were not even soldiers who you would expect to die in war, no these were normal people trying to live a regular life
- Uh... You do realise that not every Left Leaning person is a commie right? And you do realise that because of his left leaning policies he granted eqaul rights to every Australian no matter their race, creed or gender and that if he was not elected then people would be living in eqaulity for even longer?

How did I...I consider myself a realist - for example, you can argue all you want about the NSA, you can bitch and moan about it. But fact remains that they'll not listen to you anyway because it's in their interest to uphold the NSA and they are in power - therefore it doesn't matter what you say, the NSA will stay even if it's morally wrong. (Just an example.)Accepting things the way they are and will be is important, just as it is to recognise that they might be wrong.
