You cant have stealth tech or any technology we dont have irl now, unless you are a member of the New Order, and even then it is only given out to the best soldiers.

The first two factions. The resistance faction we will be concentrating on at first, and a third party faction.

Do you have to make a new faction if you're not part of the others? Or could you just be part of a small, unnamed faction such as one of the resistance cells?
Yes, you could be small and unnamed. You could also just be a lone rebel, who passes between any faction he likes. Thats probably the easiest way to do things if you want to be in the thick of the story with minimal fuss.
I was subscribed to the IC but I just lurked. I was wondering how the plot would stay organized with everyone in different or made up factions? How would people interact if we're all spread out doing our own thing?
Good question. Most of the factions one each side (new order and resistance) would have close ties to each other, and im intending for an event to happen early that would affect every faction, thus causing them to come together and let characters meet each other.

I was wondering if you could give us any more information on the scouts who go looking for technology, e.g. are they employed by someone, or do they just sell the stuff they find, also, what kind of skill level is required to survive in the wilderness?
The scouts are almost always paid for by the New Order, although its not unknown for licensed companies to get permission from the new order to send their own scouts. (this is quite rare however). The wilderness is composed of completely barren wastelands as far as anyone can tell, with the six minutes war obliterating almost every piece of organic matter in an unknown radius outside the city. There's next to no plant or animal life, the only things surviving being insects. The biggest hazard to a scout is lack of fuel. After all, theres only so far you can go in a helicopter without running out of water, food, fuel or all three. Diseases spread by insects are a problem as well, with every scout being qurantined for six months before being allowed back into the city, and they are shot dead if they show even the slightest sign of sickness. (their pay is incredible though, so theres no shortage of dreamers wanting to be scouts)

Rumors have been spread among you all, by fools and madmen, that the traitors known as the cabal have returned! They believe that the men that enslaved their minds against our glorious state still walk among them, waiting for a moment to strike once again!
This lie shall be crushed here and now! The cabal lie dead, justice being brought upon them after the murder of an innocent child, these rumors are little more than attempts to scare the populace, like the cowards that they are! Utopia is no more, all that is left are gangs in the lowest pockets of our settlement, murdering our soldiers, the men and women who protect you all with their own lives!
This barbarism shall not be tolerated! The sociopaths who attempt to hurt our glorious order shall be cast into the dirt and peace shall be returned upon our settlements!

Our last country.
The only place in the world untouched by the event that we only know as the six minutes war, humanity survives in a single huge city of two hundred million people, surrounded by hundreds of smaller settlements, providing the food, water and resources to keep the city alive. Technology is slowly growing, with technology from the old nations being uncovered every day by scouts sent into the wilderness beyond.
All of this is controlled by a plutiocratic government known as the new order. Since the day the last country was founded, they have ruled over the population with a iron fist. Maybe they once had good intentions, but now they have devolved into a corrupt group of sociopaths who destroy everything in their path while putting forward a pathetic image of benevolence to the clueless masses.
Of course, there were always a few who saw through the smokescreen, and attempted to fight back against the new order. Resistance groups popped up, but all distrusted each other, the air of paranoia preventing any lasting damage against the regime.
But eight years ago, everything changed.
A myserious group of nine men and women known as "The Cabal" brokered an alliance between the strongest resistance factions, forming a new group, known as “Utopia.” With skilled leadership and considerable resiources, Utopia struck back against the New Order, using sabotage and guerrilla tactics to cause as much damage as possible, to the point that the New Order High Council began to become nervous.
But, it all ended as soon as it began. Seven utopia personnel launched an operation and kidnapped the child of a high ranking military officer. When she refused to give into demands, the Utopia soldiers murdered the child in cold blood during an attempted new order rescue operation. This act revolted the people, and although utopia attempted ot distance themselves from the act, but it was too late. The people turned against utopia, and the resistance fighters found themselves caught between their enemies and the people they wanted to protect.
The New order took their chance, and launched a full scale military operation on Utopia Hideaways. Hundreds of Utopia personnel were killed, with the leaders being captured and executed in public. Utopia fragmented, collapsing into the many resistance groups that had formed it in the first place.
Eight years ago, Utopia is little more than a memory, people remember them as little more than insane terrorists that got what was coming to them. Resistance groups still exist, but have devolved into vicious gangs who fight the New Order out of sheer hatred and desire for an enemy. Civilians die in their droves, but most cells dont care. "Collateral" and all that.
But now, everything will change once again. Events will unfold that could result in a second rebellion, or the complete destruction of all resistance efforts once and for all. One man heading for a resistance cell HQ carries information in his head that will change everything.
Resistance members, new order agents and neutral parties will all be forced into a conflict like the city has never seen before.
Which side will you choose?
This is my RP, Imperfect World! As the blurbs above suggest, it is a science fiction/dystopian RP, set in the last country on earth after a cataclysmic event several hundred years ago.
Characters can be part of one of the many resistance cells, personnel of the New Order, or even third parties. Characters can range from simple foot soldiers, to the leaders of their respective cell/squad/etc. However, when it comes to the really high ups, such as members of the cabal or the New Order High council, there are only a couple of spaces available, and i request that you ask me first before you make a character belonging to either of those big cheeses. If you wish to create your own small faction, it should be arlight, but please ask me first. (we can’t have too many)
The RP is rated mature, being dark, violent, foul-mouthed and everything else. (Id rather no particularly graphic sex scenes though). There are some lighter moments though.
One of the biggest points of this RP is that morality is not black and white. You can be a saint and work for the new order, or an irredeemable monster that fights for the resistance, so don't let that get in the way of making a character. There are good and evil people on both sides.
