I've been RPing for about 10 years on and off, and I secretly want to be a writer. I'm a casual/advance RPer with a distaste for character sheets and extensive templating. I just want to write well with others.

Creative collaboration brings me so much joy, so please don't hesitate to message me if you're interested in telling a story together!

Erin looked up from her position on the ground to Hideki and said, “Hey, that’s good to hear. I’m Erin." She lost her balance as the girl with striking red hair shot out of her arms and jumped away from her. Erin was about to reassure her that they were all in the same situation and that they could work together, but the girl suddenly turned and approached the floating red light she had seen earlier. It came closer and fluttered gently—a butterfly. There was nothing to explain. Hideki had already briefed the girl on their situation and had done so with a warm smile. “What a nice guy,” she thought,”We’ll get along fine." She walked up to the pair as the butterfly started to zig zag across the air, as if alerting them of something; Erin watched the creature in fascination as it flew to the right road and continued it’s erratic movements. The others seemed to be inclined to follow the butterfly, but the clear road to the middle appeared much less dangerous. She looked at the two roads again before nonchalantly shrugging. “Sure, let’s go! Better than staying here, right?” She said brightly, ”As long as we stick together, it should be fine. Plus, we have a new member to the party.” Erin pointed a thumb at the butterfly and beckoned the rest towards the road. “I’ll go first to make sure there aren’t any weird steps,” she said, before following the butterfly into the dark path.

Robin sprinted swiftly across the top of the fungus and leaped easily onto the next. The girl clapped at her fast ascent and seemed to be waiting for her at the top. She wasn’t sure who she would find, but her gut told her that there was no danger—only opportunity. The sounds of human voices erupted behind her, and she stopped, before peering down at the source of the noise. She lie against the top of the fungi and watched the man, who looked liked he belonged in an aristocrat’s house rather than a forest, stand and topple before puking. She snickered, but then remembered her own reaction to the pain—hopefully she didn’t look as embarrassing. The other girl had already awoken, and started speaking in a foreign language. Her bracelets clanked against one another loudly, breaking the eerie silence of the forest. Erin wondered if she should approach them, but the man seemed to already be stumbling near the fungus. She felt reluctance dredge in the pit of her stomach; logically, it made sense that she should meet with them to figure out why they were here; they were in the same situation as she was; but, in the end, they were strangers. She glanced back at the girl above of her and back to the others still on the platform. “They’ll be fine. We’re all heading to the same place, anyway,” she thought. Robin stood up and continue her ascent, making her way closer to the mysterious girl, only visible by the light of the swaying, creaking lantern.

The sound of whirring. The smell of petrichor. Warm skin. Movement. Robin jerked into wakefulness as skin brushed against her legs. She shot up into a sitting position and her muscles groaned in protest, before dragging her back to the ground. She pressed her palms on the cold metal, hunched over the body of someone else as she assessed the injuries on her body;there were splotches of purple on her skin and her entire body ached. What happened? She was in a clearing surrounded by forest; roots clung to the metal platform she rested on, and the rusted lantern cast an eerie purple glow on the bodies that lie around her. That should have worried her, but they all seemed to be as injured as she. After a cursory look over the others, she determined that they would be fine, and stood up, brushing the leaves and dirt that had collected on her body. The sound of whirring continued endlessly behind her, and she approached the root of the enormous tree that supported the only source of light. She pushed aside the upper layer of wines and traced a finger on a crevice of the calloused bark. It shone a curious white under the purple light, and seemed to pulse with life. She pressed her ears to the bark and listened; the tree was not alive. It ticked with the likelihood of machinery and held gnarled branches without leaves. Upon further inspection, what she thought were large leaves hanging over the platform were the shadowed bottoms of umbrella like mushrooms. Excitement blossomed in her chest, and she knew there was no use trying to squash it. A small movement amongst the fungi caught her eye. A figure was standing upon on of the mushroom heads—a young girl with silver hair. Robin shot a glance at the people on the floor, and decided to untangle those that looked to be in particularly uncomfortable situations before sprinting up to follow the girl.

Post is UP for everybody. Let me know if anything doesn't make sense. Edit: Oh, also, Damiann if you'll copy Randold's CS over to the Character section I can add a proper link to the first OOC post. :)
Oh! I just realized that your post was an opening for the new characters; writing my post now :) And another thing: is there any order to the posting?
But.... But.... I'm so confused.... Dx Alright, I shall fix! xP
What are you confused about? I'll try to help explain what's going on if you ever need clarification on anything :)!
Don't worry! I'm almost done! :D
first round finished! a small correction, though: Seiji, the boy with the white hair, has already left the clearing, so only the 3 other characters remain in the clearing c:
The first thing she remembers is the musky smell of dirt. Erin exhaled deeply and stretched her limbs out, feeling the muscles tense and relax as she regained consciousness. She rolled over and lied on her back, before opening her eyes. The stars shone brightly above her, but a large branch highlighted by the light of the moon obscured her vision. She smiled softly and raised an arm to swat the branch away, but was only able brush the tips of the leaves oozing red. Still disoriented, she closed her eyes and dug her hands into the ground, rolling soft clumps of dirt between her fingers. Red moon. Silver stars. A spasm rocked through her body and she jerked into wakefulness, sitting up to stare at the sky. The moon shone a bright red and the stars sparkled metallically, as if mocking reality. “Huh?” She could not remember who she way or why she was there—she felt her chest hollow and her heart drop. It was then she noticed the presence behind her, and she immediately pivoted, ready to throw her entire weight into whatever it was. It was a boy about her age, who looked just as confused as she. She studied his face for a moment before she relaxed. It was good to be around another person. “Uh, hi,” she said,”You wouldn’t happen to know why we’re here, would you? And is it just me or does the sky seem kind of weird?” It was a strangely casual remark for the situation she was in, but without her memories, extroversion was the default she felt comfortable with. She took the moment to look around and noticed a glowing red light near a path to the left. It seemed to be flittering here and there, reminiscent to a firefly or a butterfly. Before looking closer to investigate, the bright color of red--the shade of a girl's hair--caught her eye. “Damn,” she murmured, and rushed to the girl’s side,”what the hell is going on?” She shook the girl lightly and pressed a couple fingers to her throat. A pulse. She sighed in relief, and supported the girl to a sitting position. Erin looked at the other boy in the clearing and asked, “And you? You ok? I should've asked you that first."
Yay done :D Yes indeed, nice to meet all of you!
