Olympus: School Of Demigods!

James

James wasn't at all enthusiastic about the idea of going to Olympus Academy, in fact he kind of dreaded it. This was a school for demigods and James wasn't a demigod. He was a demi-titan and the thought of spending a semester with the Olympian kids sounded awful to him. Regardless his father wanted him to go in order to train to use his powers properly and to also prepare him for a potential war. That was one of the reasons he didn't like the idea of being around the demigods, their parents were egotistical and selfish rulers of Olympus. The world was better off when the titans had ruled.

"Damn the fates for making my destiny lead me here" he cursed to himself as his crow Edgar was perched on his shoulder. The bird was a blessing from his father and James liked crows. Edgar was smarter than normal crows and was good at listening to what he said. Edgar may not have been able to speak words, but he would always try to carry out James' orders. The two of them were close friends and James' was glad to have Edgar come along on this adventure.

Right now James was walking along the mysterious golden path that would lead him to the academy. After a while of walking the path came upon the legendary school and James gave the building a quick look over. It was impressive, but since it was made by the Olympians he wouldn't say that out loud.

Gust

Gust had no problem getting the academy thanks to his ability to fly by manipulating the wind and flying for him was the best way to travel. Despite his fun soaring through the air like a bird, he still was annoyed at the idea of going to school and having to potentially stay in one place for months. Gust liked to travel and stay on the move if he could, but now that he knows who his father is, his father wanted him to go to the school the learn.

"This blows" he said to himself as he landed in the front of the academy. He had sent his eagle Sky off to go hunt while he got settled in. Gust sighed and brought his things into the school. He wondered if there would be any other demi-titans attending the academy.

Name: James Harrison

Personality: James is a determined and sometimes brash kid who is not afraid to express himself. He considers himself an individualist and sometimes can come off a lone wolf. Since he is a Demi-titan James doesn't like the Olympians because of what they did to the titans and he is very defensive when people talk about them.

Like with most Demi-titans James comes off as being a little arrogant since his lineage predates the Olympians and their children and it can go to his head. This can make him prideful as well as very stubborn. But this doesn't stop him from being cunning like other Demi-titans. Since they let him go Olympus Academy despite his titan heritage, James is determined to show that he and all the other demi-titans can be trusted and respected as much the demigods.

Bio: James was born in New Orleans Louisiana and from an early age he felt different from everyone else. Strange things would happen around him and it made him afraid. Plants would wither and bloom when he was near. Other kids felt very uncomfortable around him as if his presence affected their very souls.

He had asked his mom before about why these things were happening, but there was a reluctance in her tone of voice as she told him that she didn't know what was going on. James could tell that she wasn't telling the truth and he would find out the truth no matter what.

While at school one day James was picked on by some of the bullies and it got violent after he insulted them. While reacting in self defense James' mysterious powers activated and put the bullies and six other students into a coma. Kids who saw what happened screamed in terror and pointed accusing fingers at him.

The authorities were called and they took James home where they explained the situation to his mother. He was suspended from school and the police wanted him to stay home until the investigation into what had happened was complete. To the total surprise of the authorities, there was no sign of any severe damage or toxins in the student's bodies. What ever had been done to them was not anything that medical or forensic science could explain.

He wasn't found guilty of any crime, but the school still felt that it was best that he stay out of school for a bit. James was scared and confused at the turn of events in his life. His mom knew that it was time to tell him the truth about his heritage and his father.

And so James learned that his father was Iapetus the Titan of mortality. He learned that his father like all of the titans were not respected like the Olympians and that regardless of whether he was with normal people or demigods, he wouldn't be truly respected. With this new large of knowledge James finally had an answer to his questions.

It was too long after that his father appeared at their doorstep and told them that he believed that it would be best for James to go learn at Olympus Academy and train to control his powers. It felt both strange and great to see his father for the first time, but he felt scared of what his future held.

Power and Abilities:
Life force manipulation: James is able to manipulate the life force energy within himself and animals and plants. With this power he can attack a foe's life force instead of physically harming them. These attacks can be both close and long ranged, but longer ranges are very difficult for him to do at his current stage of development. For example if James makes contact with a light slap or punch he can attack their life force and cause a good amount of harm. He can also use his powers to help keep a person from dying by keeping their life force within them flowing, but this ability does cost energy and he will suffer from fatigue and the ability will then end. The biggest weakness to his powers is that they require him to use his own life force to access them so if he taxes his life force energy too much then he could slip into a coma or even die. A side effect of his powers is that he can live far longer than any normal human being and ages a lot slower after hitting adulthood. Also he has a resistance to necromancy and can combat the magic when used against others.

Because of this Gust tends to have trouble with school and views the institution as being almost like a fancy prison without walls and cells.

He has a fun personality and likes to play games. This can make him come as arrogant at times, but for him he is just having fun and not trying to feed his ego. Gust views his boasting as his way of showing off his confidence.

Even though the thought of school bored Gust, his mind was alight with the dream of finally meeting his father after becoming a powerful demi-titan and proving his abilities.

This ability however does cost him a lot of energy and he tries to use only when needed.

@Weird Tales You would be able to focus your life energy into you hands or feet to attack and while it isn't affecting other people's life energy, the attacks you do with your own life energy would be quite harmful, so yes you could essentially do Neji's attacks by using your life energy as a weapon.

Okay. That was what I was going for. As long as James can still attack with ability then I'm cool with the changes. Also he doesn't heal, he just keeps people from dying for a short period of time

@Weird Tales Good Cs however I will not give you full life force manipulation. What I will do is allow you to control your own life force only and those of trees, plants, etc but not other people. You can still transfer your life force to others to heal and keep them alive if you so wish.
