I agree with the rest of your post, jesjes, but with the ancients:

No, no, it had been agreed upon before we started that there needed to be something new, but so far no one's said anything about them. Some ancient civilization that left remnants behind, like in Halo or Mass Effect.

Also, I'm going to post as soon as @Queen Raidne responds and my inspiration allows it. A lot of roleplay have died lately because someone who's really interested has a post limit to follow, or because stuff gets stagnant. If you wanna make me follow a post limit, then post. The ramblings of a couple very different people over a couple hours is hardly that progressive, and though it may 'spam' the IC, really, why would it be considered spam when it's just gonna sit there like a pool that's got no filter or nothin' circulatin it?

I think at this point, it would've been better to say that your fleet was actually making contact, rather than setting it up in the future.

It's a little annoying how it seems that most people post an introduction post that essentially says, "Okay, I'm here, someone talk to me," but practically everyone does that, so it's like all the people in the market making a stall, and then staring across the pathway at each other, waiting for someone else to come to their stall, before going to someone else's.

I mean, not to point you out specifically, but there are two civilizations that have posted a somewhat open-ended bit, mine more so, and the third 'civilization' just decided to jump onto my planet cause of reasons. So you, number four, left yours also very vague, allowing anyone to say they spotted foreign ships.

And it's been like this with pretty much all the interstellar nation adventures.

Also, where's the ancient peoples stuff? Is there going to be a random semi-active decaying ship jumping randomly into the middle of a battle, or broadcasting an FTL message that manages to reach multiple civilizations from a far away point?

Anyways, my [furry] brother gave me this manual for a furry roleplaying game, similar to Dungeons and Dragons. Anyways, in this manual, it has this reaaaaally extensive backstory, that goes straight from modern-day to centuries upon centuries later, where corporates take over and eventually a corporation on Mars declares itself independent and starts making "Vectors," essentially all kinds of furries, and then the politics and public on Earth goes to hell and the corporations fight techno wars with failing governments who are launching nukes everywhere before some guy used a virus to take over all the nukes and systematically cleanse the entire Earth with nuclear fire while the Vectors/furries on Mars watch with their human creators, who eventually dwindle and die out [leaving the human race extinct] and then centuries of Vector expansion finds them all across the Solar System, fighting creatures that originated from all across the system that all speak and use the same language somehow
