Bernard took another bite of his pastry, taking a moment to gather his thoughts and think up his response. He knew something about the murder, from the people that muttered about it here and there and the one person in town that had a blog that Bernard took care of posted something about it.

"You're fine. I didn't exactly start us off on the best of terms, so I think you've got a little leeway to be snappish at me."

So he piped up about a snippet or three that he had heard- apparently the back door's lock to the victim's home had been superglued open a couple days earlier, and the victim had been unable to fix it, but left it, only filing a report with the local police. He added in the tidbit about the victim's pug also being taken, and the dog collar being left behind.

Then he popped in the rest of his pastry and, once he was mostly done chewing, "That help any?"

Hey, trying and failing is far better than not trying after all, correct-a-mundo? Just as with pretty much everything, trying anyhow shows a bit more than just straight up giving up.

No number change. I'll oppose the girls when it's in negatives, but I won't help the guys go all the way.

'course, I don't think Haley would mind if I decided to help her to fight against the guys. 'Twas never very close to other guys, myself, tbh.

And, mind you, I wasn't suggesting to just go ahead and post without his permission, just that we can get used to our characters before jumping into the fire, so we don't sit around twiddling our thumbs and with slowly waning interest.

You know, could we just start the IC?
I mean, if our characters were assembled before being put on active duty, so that they could get to know each other and not get thrown into the heat without knowing the rest of their squad?

Cause I feel like the sooner we just get started, the better. And then later we can officially start the IC when we all go Avenger-assemble and shtuff for our first mission.
