Esme had made it down the hall and to the door that led to the stairs. She had just pulled the door open and was about to step through when it felt as if an earthquake had hit. The shaking was so bad it knocked her off her feet, causing her to land hard on her ass in the stairwell doorway. The door then slammed on her, forcing a muffled groan to escape her lips as it forced air from her lungs.
She got her breath back quickly and collected herself and noticed a slight ringing, but assumed it was from the door slamming on her. The door was quite heavy when stuck on your ass with everything shaking around you, but she didn’t really attempt to open it since it was protecting her from the shattering glass in the hall. The only glass to shower her was from the door that had her pinned.
At Dean’s scream, she leaned her head back to find him, only to have everything settle before she could focus on him. She then saw him on the floor in the fetal position, then Bobby run up to him and Mika. She didn’t hear what he asked because she had pulled her head back behind the door and was trying to push it open. Esme finally managed to push it open enough with her left arm to get her legs under her so she was on her knees.
Then threw her whole left side into the door to open it even more and get to her feet. She stepped away from the door and into the hall, letting it close behind her. She grabbed her right upper arm with her left hand before she gently shook most of the glass from her hair. Then made her way to those in the hallway ahead of her. “You two alright?” she asked.
