Mithias stood in front of Gorda, eyeing this mechanical being up and down. Immediately he thought of sending Gorda back to whence he came. It was his own damn fault that some strange alien was now free in his own, original world, and he had no idea what the consequences of that were. How powerful was Gorda? What could he do? What were his intentions? He seemed reasonable enough, and seemed to know a few things more than Mithias did about portals.

Thoughts of his own world came to his mind. There was an orbital space laser and a zombie apocalypse impending, both caused by the same rich and powerful vampire. That vampire needed to die. But there was also the terrifying Purge organization that made it hard to accomplish anything as a vampire, even hunting another vampire. As for exactly where Gorda "fit in" as far as usefulness was a complete mystery.

"Gorda." Mithias just wanted to see what kind of a reaction this got. "Would you help me kill someone?"
The ship rocked violently as the leviathan hydra moved passed it toward the shore. Eclipse held on to stay aboard just like everyone else. The vampire vanished in a blink, leaving the faint hint of a transportation spell behind him. Eclipse had sensed ambivalence from him, but no malice. Mithias had been honest about his belief that the giant sea monster wouldn't eat them. From Yamata, Eclipse sensed determination, and from the others, a mix of fear, curiosity, and confidence. The ship was dangerously close to the shore, and Eclispe realized it was going to run aground. There was no stopping that, but magic kept everyone relatively safe from the waves.

"Look out!" Eclipse shouted as the hull killed its momentum by ramming itself against hard-packed sand below. He reached a hand to grab Blargh from getting thrown off. Now that they were weren't moving anymore, Eclipse focused on what was inevitably in front of them. "There are four very powerful beings before us." He warned the others. "And I am not including the sea monster. They want nothing but to kill us, and the hydra, and I do not believe I have a good chance of convincing them otherwise."

Albert transformed and offered his scaly back for a ride. Eclipse decided to climb on. "Very well dragon, but steer clear of the four guardians. They will be focusing on the hydra. Their power is far beyond ours." Eclipse himself had expended a great deal of his power to defeat the raging wind elemental that had been sent to kill them, and he didn't have enough for another fight. Even still, curiosity drove him. He sensed something else was present with them at this battle, something old and powerful, something evil and sinister, and working behind the scenes. By all that was holy, it was his job to seek it out and expose it. Also, he could stick around to keep watch over his new friends.

"Come everyone." He assisted the other to climb up onto Albert. "The water will break this ship apart."

Damien

Day 1, Morning

It was morning, and the painful peace of Ludelle's prison block was interrupted by the loud sound of sliding metal bolts. The door on the far wall opened and the catwalk extended out as it did every time a guard was on patrol, only this was an odd time, and unexpected time. Three sets of footfalls jumbled the airwaves with their musical rhythm as they came closer and closer to Ludelle's cell. They stopped right next to it. Someone was being put into the corner cell near her. It was some prisoner, some trashheap, some lowlife dealer... doubtful it was anyone of interest, but from her cell door, she could see partway into the next cell. Two guards stood beside a tall man with long black hair in shackles and prison uniform as they unlocked his cell.

Damien glared forward. The problem with secretly working for Star was that... nobody knew you were working for Star. Much to his annoyance, they had taken his gear and weapons. Damien had been instructed to simply surrender if ever he was caught and arrested, but there was one thing on his person that he absolutely refused to surrender, and it was a problem every time.

"Hey." One of the guards took notice. "What is that you have around your neck? A ring? How did you get that passed the entry scanners?" He grumbled in frustration. He didn't have time for this rebellious bullshit.

Damien quickly interjected. "This ring keeps me alive. I will not let you take it from me."

The guard had no doubt that whatever the prisoner said was a ridiculous lie and reached for the ring inside Damien's shirt anyway. If it was worth anything, he could sell it, say it "got lost" in processing, and make himself a little tip. "You don't get a choice..."

The guard's wrist was suddenly and forcefully grabbed by both of Damien's shackled hands, but what surprised him was the sharp, unexpected pain of his skin and muscle being deeply frozen solid inside Damien's hands. He cried out in shock.

The second guard pulled out his stun weapon, not yet realizing his friend's flesh was turned to ice. "Let go now, or I will drop you to the floor, prisoner!"

Damien bears his teeth, half angry and half smiling, almost as if he wanted it. "Go head. GIVE me a reason to die."

Of course he was shocked by the guard's taser and released his grip.

"Surrender the ring. You must comply." The guard with the taser wasn't taking Damien seriously.

Damien growls and staggers. "Never." He says, as if he had said it a hundred times before. This was why he so hated getting arrested. The enforcers were retarded.

The guard whos arm wasn't frozen proceeded to beat him into submission, only to suddenly recoil in pain as soon as he laid hands on Damien.

Rubbing his arm, the first guard spoke, "Forget it Jeb. This guy's not worth it."

"Grr, I'm going to teach this scum-hacker a lesson." But the truth was, Jeb felt really weak for some reason. Hacking really wasn't Damien's forte.

Finally, Damien is kicked into the cell, in which Damien was compliant enough to go. He had succeeded in keeping his ring, although much to his dismay, he didn't get to die. His vengeance would only be delayed.

The two guards left, intent to make Damien's stay a very unpleasant one. Damien crept to the back of his cell to meditate, pray, and plan.

Conjuring up a post now.
I like this. I'm a vampire fan, and I enjoy rping the eternal conflict between the species from the vampire POV. I'm a little rusty on Buffy vampire lore, so I may need a quick refresher. I'd like my character to have possession of his own soul if that's still a thing.

Ok, I am ready to post, but I need to understand some details about the prison Ludelle is in. It looks like she is in solitary confinement. Is that correct? How high level security is this place? If Damien were arrested and thrown in with her, would they have stripped him of his gear by the time they got to the cells? Why would they throw a man in with a woman? Details man, details.
