This is... a lot of prep work for a noob. I'm interested, but I am not sure how long before I will be ready to make a cs. Where are you having us roll dice?
@Kurai Assassin I think right now down is in the basement yelling at Kathryn.
God this is a lot of information. I've never watched the series. I'm still interested in joining, but perhaps playing as a human would work best for me. I've never played getting turned before.
lol Damnit. So much is going on and I'm stuck in a chair.
@BlackPanther Yes. I see you are very enthusiastic and I know you will add much to the rp if only you can get a decent start.
I'd like to see Allison and Mattias and Vlad DO something. Wiz says he'll be joining in with his Mia character soon, since school is out for the summer, so maybe y'all can go find and fight her. Not sure how long from now that might be. hm.
@BurningCold I'm just saying we would like to see more from you, not less. Take it as a compliment. I only want to remind you that you matter a lot here to the small group who are looking forward to you being around and doing things. I did move Blood Compact up to the "casual" section for a reason. Players actually want to see more than one line or one paragraph per character. They are really into who they are role playing and want to make that character really alive. We're not in advanced, so there's no threat of getting kicked or harassed. Just be here if you wanna be here, but when you are here, be here.
Mithias sat motionless in his chair bearing a gentle expression as Kathryn told her tale. He shook his head and sighed, furrowing his brow as he envisioned himself reliving the pain of her memories. "You and your family have suffered a grave injustice, one that can never be made right. 13 years..." He was right, she was young, "The Blood Compact was in full affect. The vampire that did this to you should have been hunted and executed. What he did was clearly with malicious intent." He looked at her, still piecing together the pertinent details as they affected the present time. "...Unless your father didn't report it. I could see that, perhaps the reason why he would not have would be because he feared for your safety. No father ever stops caring for his child." Mithias didn't exactly fully believe this, given his own past, but it seemed like the right thing to say in Kathryn's case. The details of his own life could be examined more academically in a later discussion, should such an opportunity come to pass. He focused back on her. Kathryn's eyes looked so full of hope and pain. Her expression desperately called for Mithias' help, and he couldn't refuse it. Yet, fulfilling her request would be far more complicated than she realized. He reluctantly replied with the truth as he knew it. "You will learn quickly that mortals die, Kathryn. I other words, you do not have much time to make amends with your father. But... Unfortunately, I will not be able to show him that you are not a monster. We are all monsters. Even I am a monster, yet we are also still people. For the most part, vampires all have nearly complete control over their actions. You can chose who you want to be, Kathryn, just as you always have. What I can do is help you show your father that you are still a person and that you still love him."

Something triggered in the room as the lights shut off. The darkness was nearly perfect, yet both Kathryn and Mithias were still able to see. Some kind of gas started filling the room, and it was going to be a problem. "What's happening?" Mithias asked more to himself than anyone else. Realizing he needed to escape, he pulled against his arm restraints. He was locked in good. Short of taking his limbs off, he wasn't going anywhere. "I can't get out Kathryn." He stated like a fact as he struggled. "This must be some kind of failsafe designed to kill a vampire prisoner. Something activated it. Maybe Deon decided to finish me. I'm sorry you got caught in this." Truly, Mithias didn't look forward to oblivion, but hope was quickly running out.

A pounding sounded on the inner door. Another blonde vampire with dark eyes was there trying to get in. "Hey. Hey. Move back I'm gonna try to get the door open." He yelled as he began to kick the door. He yelled again to someone else named Kate.

Outside, Hank had taken care of the guards. This breakout might just actually succeed.
@BurningCold yeah I was expecting Lucan and Rodney to get together and rescue Mithias, but it seems now that Kathryn, +/- Hank, and Kate and Liam are going to get the job done. This all might have gone down differently if you had been more active with James. I'm afraid you're kinda dragging this rp in the mud with your short and infrequent posting, Burning. I would totally support Grey for not waiting on you any longer. It seems like you're losing interest and that's really affecting the quality and pace of the story here for other people.
What looked like a giant clad in knightly armor suddenly landed atop the entrance gate, stopping to peer down at the scene. Mithias shot his gaze at it, or him, without otherwise moving, and the two merely observed each other for the moment. Both warriors took in the details of their opponent: size, weapons, the condition of the armor Artorius was wearing, the grace with which the behemoth had made his landing, etc. Any knight in any realm, for any time in existence, all of them, knew that in war there were no rules. There was no beforehand knowledge of what your enemy was bringing to the table and no expectation of honor or mercy from an enemy. As a knight, if you picked a fight, you had to be ready to deal with the consequences.

Goldibanne stepped out from the gates. Keeping Artorius in his peripheral vision, Mithias switched his attention to her. Yet another inhuman being had stepped out of the woodwork of this world. Her voice was bitter and repulsive, filled with arrogance and mockery. It seemed she had not heard the radio report from the guards, and the pile of gift weaponry had also escaped her notice. Still, she would prove herself to be much more of a danger, exposing some sort of magic that looked like liquefied metal, and it was extremely hot.

At the very instant that Mithias recognized a threat, he pulled his two, titanium swords. Upon the sound of unleashed blades, the guard that had been cowering just in front of the vampire's feet suddenly leap to cognition and scrambled to his feet, fleeing with wide eyes back to the safety of the gate, stammering incomprehensibly. He was terrified, having just seen this monster take a bullet and show no signs of injury. His instinct was to gtfo.

Mithias could have held him hostage, using him as a human shield, but he did not. He had let the man go and instead kept his watchful eye on Goldibanne and her pretentious display. Neither did Claire and her rifle in the background escape his notice, as he made it clear that he was ready for her attack. Long black hair wreathed about his chest and back as clawed white hands leveled his swords toward Goldibanne. He wasn't here to assault the compound, but he wasn't going to be taken prisoner either.

Sol showed up, casually late in the middle of a tense stand off. Flippantly, he mocked the others and took out a cigarette. Mithias glanced at him, swords still poised, and regarded him as the most sane character he had seen there yet. Exhaling over pursed lips, the vampire looked again at the doll mage that gleefully anticipated a slaughter. He would make one last attempt to communicate with this Blackwood Circus and said one word, "Lydia."
