@jasonwolf Hm. Alright. I didn't realize you were doing that much work this soon and was giving you something "fun" to do. I'll skip ahead then.
@jasonwolf Waiting on you before I have Mithias join the group.
Actually, that reminds me. Why do I not have a glass of wine at my desk? *goes to get*

Wine, great with coffee.
@jasonwolf

The meting adjourned and everyone got up to prepare for their missions, leaving the large office mostly empty except for Seph and maybe Markiel. Yet, it wasn't long before one of the investigators returned.

Mithias intended to find Seph alone and had returned to the office. His hair was still back and his shades still on, but his outfit had changed. Gone was the eloquent and friendly suit, replaced now with a black, military style cloth armor vest and long, weapon-concealing black jacket. Durable boots and pocketed pants lead up to a girdle that holstered two swords at his hips. There was more on him, but the details didn't matter. He looked like something out of the Matrix.

The vampire's uncanny ability to move with minimal noise made it seem almost as if he had simply appeared out of thin air, but the more logical explanation was that he had just been noticed late. Regardless, he was there, and surely he would explain why. Indeed, Mithias approached Seph in the backroom of his office, pulling off his shades as a sign of respect and allowing the aged shifter to see his eyes. He spoke softly, believing no one else to be listening. "Seph, my friend. Before we embark on this mission, and before I specifically join the others, I would make a last-minute request from you in the interests of safety and sanity." He knelt down in the middle of the room, for to Mithias blood freely given was sacred. "I beg you to saite my hunger, for I know that you can. Put it to rest so that I will not be distracted by temptation should anything happen. I would chose to feed here, rather than hunt in what may potentially be a frozen wasteland."

Mithias waited for what Seph might say.
I can get a post up tomorrow. Just too tired after this week at work.
Ilyndriel walked along ahead of Khaine. "...a few levels down. They have these forges and make swords among other things. This lady made me this necklace. Wanna see?" She turned around and lifted it up cheerfully, but just at that moment the scent of injury and sound of scrambling feet came rushing up the tunnel.

The angel girl turned around just as the insectoid beings would have slammed into her, possibly trampling her like roadkill. However, the presence of a armored behemoth redirected their momentum, causing several to attempt to leap over Khaine's head, but all in all they missed running directly into Ilyndriel.

She gasped and staggered back a step as the massive demonic friend of hers reached up to smash a fist into someone she suddenly recognized as... "Isaac!" She called out briefly, well aware now that things had changed. A sense of danger filled her and she stood vigilant behind the warlord, somehow seeking the protected space he provided while she figured out what was going on. She was horrified to see Isaac hit like that, and feared for his life. Of course, with him leaping like that, she couldn't blame Khaine's defensive reaction. She hoped it was just a misunderstanding.

Khaine demanded information, and it became clear, thankfully, that the insect-like army was not here to maul and sting her invited guest. That was a relief. Yet Isaac said that a battle was currently in progress, and Ilyndriel was shocked. How could she not have known? As she listened to Isaac, the realized the "outsider" was probably Asura, who had been led outside by one of the spider people. She began to panic. "Isaac, is it Asura? Is he in trouble? Please, lets go to him! I have to help him." Certainly she meant to heal him, or anyone else if there was blood being spilled.
