Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

The glass was empty by this point, and Lily contemplated getting another drink of whisky. Just as she started to weigh the pros and cons of being even more intoxicated around all these strangers, in walked Craig dragging a container that was surely heavier than he was. She couldn't help but laugh a little at his struggle, although her smile didn't last long once she made out what was in the box. A little lump formed in her throat at the realization that things were becoming very real, rather fast. Her mind now cluttered with too many thoughts, Lily didn't notice someone approaching her until they were right behind her. Craig again...that sneaky bastard. He spoke to her in a hushed tone, and she got a racing pulse once some of his words registered.

"...you are acting commander of this squad..."

She muttered some nonsense reply when he was done talking, even though his words stayed with her. She watched him walk away as if this little announcement wasn't going to have an impact on everyone in the room. Lucky for her, she realized that it wasn't her decision to let the others know, so she kept her mouth shut and just stared in Mack's general direction.

You better sober up quick, she thought, because all this responsibility that was just dumped on me could end tragically for us all.

Lily immediately noticed the blue-eyed foreigner who decided to break the silence as soon as he stepped into the room. By his accent, she figured he was somewhere from western Europe, but she couldn't pinpoint the specific location at the moment.

"You're just in time for the event of the year."

She took another sip of her drink even though her fingertips were starting to tingle. She sometimes hated being a lightweight, but not tonight. The fact that tonight she had to meet a group of people made her somewhat nervous, especially since she was so used to being alone.

Not too long after blue eyes comes in, another person with similar features shows up. He wasn't as friendly as the first guy. In fact, he looked like he was going to kill someone any minute now.

"Would you like a drink?"

She directed the question at the grump who had just taken a seat on the other side of the counter across from where she was standing. Lily found it amusing the fact that he still towered over her even though he was the one sitting down. Oh well, can't do much about genetic shortcomings. She smirked at her own mental joke.
Yoo need a scotsman to get the conversation started @Xandrya feel free to chit chat, Im not limiting to one per intro post. Its pretty freefrom until everyone arrives.

Sorry, still at work for another 1.5 hours and even though I can sneak away to read posts, mobile posting is not really my forte.

I can interact as soon as I get home though!

Lily took a sip of the water she had been offered. She sat on the end of the couch closest to the window, her mind still trying to get a handle on the irony surrounding her situation. It's not like she had been forced into joining this...squad, per se, but she faced much worse repercussions if she denied the offer. Nonetheless, Lily wasn't particularly tied to either side of the spectrum, she just enjoyed having the freedom to do whatever she wanted with her life. After all, she had been doing just that for so many years.

"Time for a real drink."

Lily wanted to quiet her mind by numbing her body, so she got up and headed to the kitchen in search of any available alcoholic beverage. It didn't take her much time to find a bottle and she poured herself a decent amount of whisky. Once she took her first sip, she leaned against the counter and rubbed her eyes in response to the strong drink. She figured she might as well make herself at home while she--and the rest of her teammates--waited for Tim and Mack.

Background:

Lily was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. Her parents were one of the wealthier families of the island, some rumors even claiming that they had ties to the government. Being an only child, Lily always had everything she wanted...except for the simple love and affection from her parents. When she was just 10 years old, business brought the family over to Neo Bay. Everything was fine for some time, even though learning the language was a bit of a challenge for her parents, but after a rough start, they finally found their flow. By this point, Lily barely even saw her parents, their absence extending to the weekends as well. On random day at school, a friend of Lily recommended she meet with him and his Master at an old abandoned gym, promising her he'd teach her stuff you could only see in movies. Thus, at the age of 13, she started training in Krav Maga.

From that point on, she met with her friend Carl and of course, Reddick, the one person in the world who she swore took better care of her than her own parents did. He first taught her the basics, then when her skill was up to par with Carl's, the level of difficulty increased for them both. It took a bit of time for them to fully master Krav Maga, but then they went on to learn various other forms of close-quarter combat mixed with some lessons in free-running to shake things up.

After some years, Lily and Carl graduated school. Unfortunately, the next evening, Reddick was nowhere to be seen. Disappointment grew in both Lily and Carl as they days passed and Reddick failed to show every single time. Carl and Lily's friendship slowly faded as well, and with nothing to do on her spare time, Lily turned to crime. She remained undetected for a while, but it was only a matter of time before a rookie mistake cost her her freedom. Upon finding out that their daughter wasn't the perfect little girl they had raised, Ada and Jorge kicked her out of their home. Lily never bothered returning, and instead, focused on how to pull off an even bigger heist while at the same time avoiding the authorities. Many years passed and Lily had only gotten better with her skills. During her mid 20s, she came across some individuals who were holding a tactical training seminar. They were part of some private security firm, and she used this to her advantage by pretending to be interested. She learned quite a bit from these guys, and they saw a very promising future for her so they even offered her extra training only made available to law enforcement. Once she completed her training with the firm, she up and quit without notice or warning and returned to her life of crime. Unfortunately, one dark and stormy evening, she broke into the wrong home. The man standing behind her threatened her to stand still or otherwise meet a terrible fate. Being a smart chick, she froze in place and listened to what he had to say.

Of course, he never turned her in. Instead, he laid out some ground rules after he mentioned he was impressed with her personal abilities. When she asked to clarify, he explained to her how he'd been keeping an eye on her and simply wished to put her talent to better use. She knew his proposal was better than what she had to face if he were to place a quick call, so she agreed. From that point on, she was signed on as a member of C.O.P.S. and hasn't looked back ever since.

Is it okay for my character to say some words or random phrases in Spanish? Like when you call someone names behind their back or something?
@Xandrya Stuff like that gives me really strange dreams. I can't handle it. And I end up really groggy all day long and more than a little irritable.

Strange dreams are the least of my worries. I have conversations with my husband I don't recall, amongst other things, but when I start to hallucinate I know it's time to shut everything down and wait for it to fully take effect.

I guess high school did it for me. Middle school started at 9:40, whereas high school was at 7:30. I remember back in the day I used to wake up early so I could ride the school bus around for an hour or so before being dropped off. In high school, I would wait until the very last second to get out of bed.
I've had Ambien prescribed to me multiple times. Stuff is great, although I obviously don't take it every night. Some 5 or 6 years ago I got hooked on OTC nighttime stuff and it got pretty bad, but luckily I realized what was happening and went cold turkey before I made the situation worse.

Well...I've seen the band and song live quite recently in London...Don't regret it at all.

That's more or less the same reaction my friend had when she saw them live somewhere in France.
