My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

Alexandra

With her eyes closed, Alex had her head leaning against the wall. She remained seated on one of the corners of the church, her back an inch or two from the wall. Within that space, her hands were secured by a pair of plastic handcuffs. Admittedly, Alex felt 10x more vulnerable without her sidearm, that which had been taken away by one of the soldiers maintaining the peace within the church. Alex hadn't caused any major trouble, not to the rest of the survivors anyway, but she had attempted to leave a few times albeit being warned against it. She even shoved one of the soldiers by the door in an attempt to get out, and that's when they decided it was best if she was restrained for their own peace of mind.

A male voice caught her attention. She opened her eyes and saw that the tall man, presumably a priest from another church judging by his clothes, was anxiously looking for someone or something. This made Alex sit up, because in a situation like this, a worried expression only meant trouble. Alex got up and made her way to the main doors where one of the soldiers was standing guard. "I think that man over there is looking for someone, and by the looks of it, it's not to deliver good news. Can you please take these off now? I'd much rather be able to defend myself if it comes down to that.
Madison

"Hm, alright then, let's give this a shot..." Madison held up the dowel so that it was about a foot away from her face. She eyed the tip, concentrating on it, then noticed the blurred figure in the background slightly shifting. She trained her sight on Mr. Kessinger, the dowel now being the blurry object, and she rehearsed what he had said to her just moments ago. Here goes nothing, she thought to herself as the focused on the dowel again. This time, Madison kept her concentration and with ease, she lit the tip of the dowel, the orange flame dancing wildly and giving off a steady flow of heat which warmed Madison's face, although not to an uncomfortable point. She now concentrated on keeping the small flame at the tip, her eyes narrowing as her mind was barking off orders, something she couldn't control at times. Slowly, the flame grew less wild, taking up less space as Madison had wanted it. She was nearly about to complete her first assignment when a loud knock on the door broke through the silence. Madison gasped in response, the flame disappearing along with her concentration. She looked at Mr. Kessinger with disappointment as she lowered her hand, thinking that maybe she'd have to redo her assignment all over again.

Its coming right now. I got distracted by training and the like.

It's fine, I was messing with you. I look forward to reading it though.

Sounds like you had some fun. I need one more post from you and @Subject Zero. I do what I want now might seem like an ass pull. I can go if you like but I don't wanna push things too hard.

I'll have a post up in the next two or three hours. Promise.

I believe you owe us something...
Jennifer

"No, that's not what I meant! You can't-" but Jennifer was not able to finish her sentence before Nathan picked her up with ease to place her over his shoulder. The nerve of this guy...

"Of course you're going to stick to making little comments, that's about as far as you'll be able to get with me." For a moment, Jennifer wondered whether she should attempt to get down. She could place her arms around his neck to get some leverage, but she was still restrained and that left her at a disadvantage. Not that she was afraid of Nathan hurting her, but getting on his bad side could mean that the handcuffs stay on for longer. "God dammit, Nate, I don't even have shoes on!" She knew he wasn't going to go back in the apartment, but maybe there was a small part of him that still cared for her comfort. "You know what, forget it. This time I want to be spared from one of your smart-ass remarks."

Madison

She was admiring the weapons on display, her mind creating battle scenes in her head in order to give the small collection a life of its own. Madison smiled at the thought that maybe one day she may be able to display such prowess, but she still had a long way to go.

"No, no more questions from me Mr. Kessinger," she replied. "I just want to learn how to better control fire. Not that I can't control my emotions, that's not what I'm trying to say, but admittedly, I get distracted from time to time." Madison held out her hand and after a subtle wave, a small flame appeared dancing around her hand. "I only hurt myself once, just a small burn on my arm after a lesson I had with my father. I was concentrating too hard in attempting to perfect the technique I had just learned, and I forgot to connect with the element. By the time I realized I wasn't going to pull it off, it was too late." She put the flame out, and looked at her teacher in the eye. "If I can't prevent self-injuries, how do I expect anyone else to be safe around me?"

Alright, I'll see what I can do. I only had half a brownie yesterday evening and I'm still groggy.
@Subject Zero

I was expecting worse, honestly. But sleep on it. I know I will after the lack of sobriety tonight.
Yeah, haven't seen him in a bit. But I just gotta be patient I guess.
I don't need one per se, but I've been stuck for a few days now.
