My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

I'm down for it! She just finished talking to Thomas so she's free now.
Lost the original edit I had but I quickly typed something up.
Amy tightened her grip on the shot glass once it was placed within grasp by Arex, uncertain of what was really in it but deciding that it was too late to back down anyway. It didn't take a fraction of a second after the liquid made its way down her throat for Amy to regret such decision. She turned away, one hand clasped over her mouth as she anticipated vomiting but the moment didn't arrive. Instead, she felt an intense burning sensation, one that made her eyes water as a single tear managed to escape her eye and leave a wet streak on her right cheek. She was shaken up, but okay.

"What was that?" she said, more so talking to herself than asking a question. Amy straightened up again and immediately decided that she would not have another shot. She simply listened to Arex, slowly coming to the conclusion that maybe she should have chosen better words to explain herself. That, or she was using the wrong approach.

"Don't fuck me over again and we won't have any more problems," she said after he was done speaking. "Take that as a threat or a promise, the choice is purely up to you. I'm well aware everyone in that ship is a degenerate, including myself, but I for one intend on getting through all of this alive, and if any additional ulterior motives you may have get in my way of completing each of these jobs so that I may regain my freedom, then you'll have to start watching your back. It's as simple as that."

Amy started to get up, a sign that she was done addressing Arex.
Thomas was leaning back on one of the chairs in the library as he watched the students slowly make their way inside. He'd received study hall duty once more after avoiding it for an entire year just prior to the start of the current semester. He only hoped the new students were somewhat cooperative and wouldn't cause too much trouble, although everyone there knew that was wishful thinking.

With her book in hand, Lacey entered the library. Since it was only their first day, she was looking forward to some down time without having to bury herself in information she'd just learned. She was just about to make her way to the back of the library when she noticed a familiar face sitting down on a chair, watching them. Her face instantly dropped, and without wasting another second, she made her way over to her cousin whom she hadn't seen in quite some time.

"Tom? What are you doing here?"

"I should be asking you the same question," Thomas replied, getting up to walk away from the crowd of students walking in. Lacey followed him a little too eagerly, and he knew things would only get more complicated as the time went by. "I work here, been doing it for a couple of years now."

Thomas looked down at his younger cousin, noticing she'd cut her hair and was slightly unrecognizable from the last time he'd seen her.

"Well I've been here for 6 months and I haven't seen you before, it's just...surprising." Lacey looked behind her. She noticed they were catching some glances, but nothing out of the ordinary. "What class do you teach?"

"Spanish," he replied.

"Of course, should have figured. I have you later in the afternoon, by the way, and I guess that means no homework!"

Thomas frowned. "Not a chance, you'll be treated just like every other student." He slid his hands in his pockets and started to walk away.

"But--"

"I mean it, Lacey. Now go catch up on whatever work you have and I'll see you in class." Without saying another word, Thomas walked away, leaving Lacey alone to take care of her work.
"Well, I'm glad the beds are comfortable," Delilah said as she went through her bags to start unpacking. "We're going to be terribly sore once we commence our training, and getting a good night's rest is crucial throughout our time here, especially these first upcoming weeks." Delilah started placing items on the bed, the bulk of it being training outfits mixed with her regular clothes. Seeing her belongings out on display, she started to wonder what she'd wear for dinner. Something nice, but not over-the-top. First impressions were everything, and she wasn't going to allow room for mistakes.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm both excited and a little nervous for tonight. It's our first official meeting with everyone in the school, and there's bound to be some level of formality, although I'm not really sure what that is just yet."

Delilah picked out a plain, white blouse from the bundle on her bed. She held it out in front of her and after a few indecisive moments, she concluded that it'd be perfect for dinner. She then put aside her pair of black pants, and a black pair of flats to complete the look. Everything else was to be put away sooner rather than later.

"Well that was easier than I thought," she said, grabbing her shoes to start organizing.

So that's the plan then... Once the channel had gone dark, Amy directed her attention to Arex once more.

"I thought you'd never ask," Amy said, waving down the bartender, unsure whether they'd seen her as she obviously couldn't see them. "Could you order some rum for me, please?" she asked Arex, the drink being something that she was more than used to by now. But she couldn't complain; she liked it.

"Liz seems nice," she continued with a smirk, wondering what the woman really looked like. In some odd way, Amy was glad Arex had found a girl for the brief down time they had. He needed it as he usually kept to himself in the ship, and getting out and finding a companion was probably what would help him get out of his slump. It was then Amy felt as if she was intruding, but she couldn't wait as the mission didn't spare them the time.

"I wanted to talk to you about our...relationship. To say we haven't exactly seen eye to eye in this mission is a huge understatement, and well, moving forward I want to make sure that our differences don't get in the way of us effectively working together. You're my teammate and I have your back, and I want to make sure you have mine as well. If we were stuck in a bad situation, I want to know that you won't leave me for dead."
Amy slung her bag around her shoulder as she casually walked out of her room. She was happy to be getting off the ship for a little while. Not that she didn't like the company per se, but she was glad to have her feet on the firm ground once more. Amy was wearing one of the few outfits she'd brought on the mission: a white t-shirt underneath a dark olive jacket, fitted black pants, and white shoes. She was guessing she was one of the last few members to leave the ship as she had spent some time getting ready to head out. The rest of the team wasn't in any particular hurry either, although there was some small sense of urgency as they weren't going out to play, but rather, to work.

Once she was off the ship, Amy used her goggles to look around. The foot traffic was pretty heavy, but certainly not impossible to navigate. She asked someone for directions to the bar, and much to her surprise, she found out it was pretty close to her current location.

"Thanks," she said with a wave, heading off to the bar.

After walking for not too long, Amy arrived at the bar. Once more, she looked through her goggles until she spotted the person she wanted to speak with. His bulky size was a dead giveaway, and contrary to what she believed, he wasn't alone. That only meant that she would have to steal him for a little bit. As she made her way to Arex, Amy hoped that the other person wouldn't give her any issues.

"Ah, there you are," she plastered on a smile, putting her goggles away in her bag as she wouldn't need them for some time. "I need to talk to you for a little bit if you don't mind," Amy continued, leaning on one of the empty barstools adjacent to Arex.
"I believe that the less risky move is waiting," Raven chimed in, creeping up next to Jericho to take a better look at the bandits. "From the sounds of it, it doesn't look like we'll have to wait long, if that's something you're okay with," she continued, shrugging her shoulders. The main reason Raven gave such opinion was because of an old friend. "Do not engage unless you need to," he had said to her. While his statement did carry some truth to it, Raven didn't always necessarily follow his advice. She had been an instigator one too many times before, enough to make him shake his head in disapproval if he were to be around. But their situation was a little different now.

Raven looked around at her teammates. They appeared to be a decent crowd judging entirely on a superficial basis. "But if the majority agrees to make an offensive move, then I'm more than okay with that," she said, taking a few steps back to address the group. "They're outnumbered as it is, and they won't see us coming."

Raven tried not to smile. She loved a good, fair fight, but sometimes getting that easy win was too exhilarating to pass up. Besides, it's not like she was the one to suggest that the group go after them.
@AlShayatin

You know those movie scenes where realistically the character should have died but somehow managed to stay alive? I was going for that. In my mind there are like two shooters on the rooftops, so the scene's chaotic, but not impossible.
Alright, maybe we can have Serena be MIA for now. What do you think?
