Bio

For those who knew me on vBulletin RPG my screen name was Armaclite. I was Ceui on RPG IRC for awhile though is fading away into obsolete existence. As for what kind of RPs I like, my personal preference is OI or Original Ideas. I've been in too many way too anal fanfiction RPs that I'm growing tired of those unless it's someone I really know like Genkai. I did a Magical Madoka RP with her which sadly didn't get finished, because I got injured on the job during that time. Not going into details about that.

If I do get involved in a fan related RP it will be either anime or video game that fits my personal preference. That's just the way I fly. Due to a recent encounter I will no longer be expressing any interest toward most fan related RPs unless they fit the guidelines of something I really like. I have my reasons for this and do not wish to disclose those details at this time.

My main interests are magic oriented RPs that follow along Japanese RPGs like Tales series and Star Ocean. Anything "Fantasy" related as long as it isn't Rosario Vampire Free related nonsense is fine with me. I don't have a problem with non-original idea RPs though they are less creative than starting from the drawing board. That's my personal opinion anyway.

If I negate the effect of Limiter Removal with Magic Jammer, will all machines still be destroyed at EP?

Also the statement about Level B was in your reference to:

<Snipped quote by Xeiyenreisha>

Level Limit Area A is a continuous trap card. Level limit Area B is a continuous spell card. A switches 3 and lower to attack, B switches 4 and greater to defense.

<Snipped quote by Xeiyenreisha>

Negate attack cannot be used effectively against Limiter Remover, as it can only negate at the attack declaration, not at the damage step where one usually plays Limiter Remover. The only options are using cards like Lance, or cards which negate Limiter Remover, but by negating it, stop the destruction effect at EP.

Are you sure about that? Negate Attack is a Counter Trap which would give it a Speed of 3.
I will say that Negate Attack which is a Counter Trap card Seto Kaiba uses can wreck an over aggressive player who relies too much on powering up their Machine-Type monsters. I have fallen victim to this card time and time again.

Wall is currently limited due to some issues with the ability to pay a decent chunk of life points for certain card requirements to be effective.

@Xeiyenreisha

I assume you mean level B. I was insulted because I assumed you knew how Limiter Remover is used in the damage step, and thus offering cards which cannot be activated during damage step to stop it (while knowing they actually cannot) is akin to calling me stupid.

And yes while I have stated card such as Magic Jammer will work, the issue is Magic Jammer negates the entire effect, meaning they will not be destroyed at EP, hence leaving you with a big beatstick still.

No, I was thinking of Wall of Revealing Light which is a Continuous Trap Card which tends to be a thorn in my side at times. Still any Machine monster affected by Limiter Removal is destroyed at the End Phase. I do not see how that is much of a problem. It's just an aggressive card which has a major weakness to it since it leaves you wide open if someone is able to prevent you from attacking.

I will say for the record I never was under the notion you were stupid or the impression. I have no idea where you even assessed that from nor do I care because I am not here to argue. I will say I do not like people thinking they can anticipate what I am thinking since you assumed incorrectly hence you should never jump to conclusions. All I can say is you should never base anything off assumptions or put words in my mouth, but let's just bury the hatchet. First assess the situation then ask if there was a misinterpretation. That way you could avoid situations like this as I want everything to end peacefully with no grudges held on either parties. The misunderstanding is cleared up now and I am done debating on it.
Last time I checked, I think Wall got banned for some convoluted reason that I can't be bothered to research.

Edit: never mind, Wall is limited now.

Thanks for the update on that.
Normal stuff is Speed 1, Traps and Quick-Plays are 2, and Counter Traps are 3.

Thank you for that bit information, Scarifar. I really do appreciate it. Also I wasn't thinking of Level Limit Area A. I was thinking of some Wall card which is a Trap Card that I forgot the name of. I wonder if it's still on the limited list. The card I think I was trying to think is Wall of Revealing Light which is a Continuous Trap and not a Counter Trap so scratch that one too.

Magic Cylinder? Since when can you activate Magic Cylinder during Damage step? Or Gravity Bind? or Level Limit Area A (which does nothing). I assume two things of course: 1) You meant level Limit Area B which restricts Levels 4+ to defence mode., but is a continuous spell card and ergo cannot be activated as a "gotcha" on the opponent's turn. Although neither cards are effective against XYZ Monsters as they have ranks not levels. 2) The player using Limiter Removal is using it smartly as a quick-play which can be played during damage step, that is, not activating it when Gravity bind is face up on the field, nor when Level Limit Area B is on the field, and is activating it NOT during the attack declaration of the battle phase, but rather the Damage Step at which the opponent cannot negate the attack or prevent it from happening, and must use cards like Forbidden Lance or counter traps to negate the spell itself, at which, negates the destruction effect at EP, leaving you with a still decent beatstick on the field.

Hence your 3 given solutions have just fallen out of the equation due to game mechanics. Unless you were unfamiliar with how the BP works, specifically regarding the Damage Step and its Damage Calc substep, I almost feel insulted that you offered these 3 solutions when you claim you ALWAYS play with Limiter Removal in machine decks :I

Why would you feel insulted? It is a simple misunderstanding and I find that language quite offensive to be honest. Regardless, I will disregard what you said on grounds that I do not want to create any confrontations in here.

My bad, I thought Level Limit Area A was a Trap Card. No, I forgot the way speeds work on cards. Look I have not played a Yugioh game since 5D's on PSP so I am trying to get myself back up to speed on this game. Quickplay I think is a 3 which is fastest where as those cards are a speed of 1 so scratch that.

Well, you could also try Magic Jammer which is a counter trap that quite a few people use. I use it myself as a staple card.

Also, let's not get into this whose card is better since those kind of arguments never end well. Both cards have their strengths and weaknesses.

The effect of 'Mad King' seems to be a blanket effect, meaning that because Void End Dragon's secondary effect is based around targeting, it wouldn't work.

You can still get around that with De-Fusion. I have dealt with cards like that before and I keep a De-Fusion on hand to eliminate annoying effects like that. Blanket effects only work on the cards that were on the field meaning if you take them off the field and replace them you can isolate the problem at the source. Anything else you would like to debate to me about?
@Xeiyenreisha

I understand the stapleness of limiter remover in a machine deck, however I have expressed my concern regarding the Otk ability of the card especially in these 4k lp duels. Making it far too easy to drop one from the hand during damage step for a win from anything with 2k attack in a direct attack. Similarly as how Ring of Destruction is broken due to the reason of popping your opponent's only defending monster, burning both and leaving the field empty for a direct attack.

Just because something is 'staple' in the deck doesn't quite mean they should be automatically allowed in. Take a look at the Noble knight deck which doesn't run RotA which is a staple warrior searcher. Or chaos emissaries without BLS(EB). No Zenmaines in Wind-UPS or D.A.D in BW/RR which work well with them. Even the Vanilla 6Sams deck didn't have a LSS Shi en. Thus While I see your reasoning, it seems a bit much given your deck can dish out probably the most attack points with some semblance of consistency.

I do not run Machine decks without Power Bond or Limiter Removal, but I understand what you are saying. All other cards I can part with but those two are the forefront and foundations of my Machine based decks.

Besides there are turn the table Trap Cards like Magic Cylinders that can be used to defeat over aggressive people with. I see no particular problem with Limiter Removal. You also have Gravity Bind and Level Limit Area A which can also screw you since you have to destroy all Machine-Type monsters effected by it at the end of your turn. Personally, I do not have a particular problem with the card since there are ways to safeguard yourself against it.
<Snipped quote by Xeiyenreisha>

Your cards are a little broken though as well and need more working out.

They have been already approved and I ironed them out as much as I can without ruining their capability.

The Void Dragon series is built around sacrifice to empower the cards with. That trait can also be a great weakness since if you remove from play say a Void Dragon you can no longer use De-Fusion.
Mad King Machination Brron is not all that useful against Void End Dragon since the card has an effect that negates its effect and destroys it when it targets Dragon or Machine Type monsters on Tsukiko's side of the field.
