Current This site's like Old Broadway...I'm seeing a young man sittin' in an old man's bar, waitin' for his turn to die.

I would sooner face outright phobia again than be given a half-hearted apology by the same systems which did nothing in the face of injustice and to now seek to make profit from our suffering.

I will never celebrate Pride Month for being stabbed in the leg and shot in the neck while it is sponsored by Chase. I will never mistake complacency for forgiveness nor acceptance.

Pride Month is celebrate by those who have never struggled. Those of us who have - those who have been harassed, assulted, detained and debased - have no such pride in it. There is only ire and spite.

So sorry if I'm not enthused. It's just that there's nothing to be happy about now, and people just buy rainbow stuff from the same corps who need us kept down to sell them in the first place.

Bio

“There was a time when I was master of the universe. As I was staying ageless and motionless before my computer, flying untouched over human frenzy, cities rose and crumbled under my thumb, tiny people ran hurriedly to their death on the roads I had built and time flew at my command.

Then it all stopped, and I had to become one of those running specks. They call it 'life.'”

Sorry, I messaged Hank, Legend, and POOHEAD189 almost a month ago asking if it would be appropriate to post and didn't get any response! It is a roleplaying game, and we are looking for players, so I would personally not consider it spam (else I wouldn't have posted it). And it's free, so we do not gain any financial benefit or compensation from it.

If it's not hosted directly on the site (i.e This one, roleplayerguild.com), it's considered pretty poor etiquette to drop progress of your off-site project without any other interaction on the site. There is a section for off-site projects that our users are involved in making - but it's also with the caveat that these people are primarily here to roleplay with other users, not just show off what they do when they're not RPing.

Now, by all means, if you're interested in sticking around for the RP scene, go right on in and get the full meet n' greet treatment by dropping a post in the Introductions thread. But if your only interest is to gather interest in your game offsite, then please, piss off.

Oh great, an ideologue.

Well, let it be mentioned: Maëlle was no stranger to them. Quite the contrary, actually. Come to think on it, well...the thought made her giggle. She herself was something of an ideologue, just give her a few years. Maëlle never was one to deny that the entire reason to her past livelihood wasn't ideologically driven, for even if she were to die a homeless biker, at least she might do so under the pretense of being - at bare minimum - something short of honest. And perhaps if she was anything short of a glass of wine already in her, the still-young woman might have joined right in the "fuck 'em" speech he so passionately gave.

Heh. 'Still-young', she thought. She was barely into her twenties, and here she was reflecting back on the "good old days".

But...as he spoke in that heated tone over blue-hued computer screens, it made her laugh, like he was some loser over Discord complaining over how life was unfair and how he felt cheated out of something he had deserved on account of living. Hardly 'master criminal' material, no doubt. He wasn't wrong - not by any stretch of the imagination - but perhaps it was only in the angered bluntness through which Senior spoke that he found himself in the position hackneyed middleman, just vitriolic enough to be young, and just bitter enough to be old. If nothing else, at least he could appeal to Tick's ethos - that sensation of feeling young and angry again. No plan, no reservations, just sticking one of those fingers on each hand up.

"Yeah...I got one." she pondered, enough for all to behold, "...what's the catch?"

"I mean, I love a good kick in the door romp, but like, come on! I thought this wasn't just supposed to be some playground gas station drive-off bullshit?!"
So I was really curious how you did the gradient with the text, so I looked at the Raws and uh

What the Hell.
@Yam I Am Can I get my claim on the map now that I have posted?

Done, and done.
Ah, well hello there. This is a bit of a dead thread unfortunately lmao.

Last post was 2 years ago, but I thank for the ping lol

Bro just necro that shit
Honestly though, this is probably the biggest necro i've seen in RPG NRP history. So props.
My idea is that the independent Myrese trade networks were confined to the shallow coast and rivers of Mycoria and after the arrival of the Empire all of that infrastructure would have been ceded to them immediately. The fact that they use flat-bottomed shallow boats similar to (scaled up versions of) Chinese Sampan meant their networks were unsuitable for trade outside the province anyway. I'll leave the degree of their involvement in Imperial trade networks up to you at any rate - the point isn't really that the kingdom is rich, only that its aristocrats and priests are. I'll hopefully be able to show the destitution of its 'impious' common people.

I personally think that the idea is fine at any rate. If it's just a straight class divide between the upper-echelon aristocracy and ecclesiarchy with the rest of greater Myrese society, then I would think that it would likely start to crumble pretty quickly without the backing of the rest of the Mycorian imperial apparatus. I can assume (and correct me if I'm wrong, here) that it's mostly a case of the Gaulletics only caring insofar that they receive their cut (which is by percentile the Lion's Share, but the native Myrese are enamored by their baubles that some don't even realize the extent to which they're actually getting screwed over in this little partnership), and so long as all the dividends are paid out, they largely leave them up to their own devices if they play ball with Mycoria.

The case of Great Myr as I can envision it is sorta like India or Malaysia under British rule where you saw like gigantic sprawling structures and princely kingdoms of insane amounts of wealth while surrounded by a pretty neglected countryside that was ready to fall apart at first notice. Its geopolitical situation would control a lot of the southbound trade, but because the Myrese ecclesiarchy and aristocracy are so intertwined with Mycoria's merchant class as a whole, they never get the real opportunity to capitalize on the position for themselves - and even if they had, they sure don't possess the military might to thwart a full-fledged Mycorian incursion.
