Bio

Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

"You speak as one with experience. Is this not really your first attempt in this program after all?" Acht didn't really look up from the food as it asked, but couldn't hide the curiosity, nonetheless. There was plenty to wonder about in this facility, and the people just seemed to become more interesting as the day went on. "Now that I think of it, did you ever say which of the two got you in here before?"

Not seeing what this has to do with my earlier question, but okay.
I can't manage typing accents yet. I'm always worried that it's going to look way too weird and sound completely off when spoken.

But yeah, I definitely don't know that much French, and I don't trust google translate very much when I can avoid it. This is mostly from my memory of Italian.

Granted, my grammar is probably awful (sorry about that), but I'm working on it. Eventually, I'm sure I'll be able to write it well enough so actual Italian speakers will be able to see it without laughing themselves into a coma or something, though.
He's hoping not, but I'm actually curious about that as well.

...Wait, does it actually look like French?

("Why would he do that? That's too much work, and it goes against building codes. Most governments would cut funding for insecure facilities like that.")
@Song Book

The short boy shook his head. "Perchè? Troppo lavoro, e quella è contra le regole per edificii ufficiali. Molti governi dovrebbe smettere di finanziare per facilità insicure." Of course, that plan would fall through if the doctor had expenses paid by something besides official government funding, but considering that the judicial system of this country was somehow involved, he felt that it was probably safe to assume that there was some reliance on tax money somewhere. As a result, for the safety of government-hired employees of various kinds, there had to be materials and plans in place for use at any given moment.

In theory, at least, but theory was better than nothing.
Flinching slightly at the feeling of a hand on his shoulder, the young man was both reluctant to face his captive again and slightly shocked. "The...the knockout...eh?" To be honest, he wasn't sure how many times he had written about things pertaining to that word, including a few embarrassing instances when he had been a bit too careless with the knockout powder and ended up losing hours at a time because of it. Either way, that level of awkwardness was something he felt he could live with, were that really what she was mentioning.

"Anyway, like I said I need your help to get home. Or at least to know where I am. You said me being here was an accident. What exactly happened?"

The question brought him fully out of his shame-filled daze, and he bit his lip as he tried to think of a good answer. "Well... First things first: You're at my home. It used to have a lot of famous wizards and witches and sorcerers hidden here, but at the moment, it's mostly just me and a few helpers...hindrances...l-let's call them 'friends' for now." He let out a nervous chuckle as he glanced back toward the garden entrance. They'd have to discuss those later. "Um, as for how you got here...you don't...r-remember anything that happened before you fell unconscious, do you?" He played with the fingers on one of his hands as he asked, only feeling more awkward as he looked away. "Because, it's true that I didn't mean to...but I kind of panicked...I didn't expect you to show up when you did...and then I heard someone else coming...and before I knew it, I activated something I shouldn't have a-and we ended up here."

"...Please don't kill me."
Don't want to summarize in-post because it would break up the flow. Placing explanation here.

("Good, follow me."

"We need a map, but we can't get a map. However, every building, especially official ones, has to follow a set of safety codes. We're looking for a Fire Evacuation Map."
)

Not the exact translation, but that's the basic idea.
The short boy rolled his eyes at the larger male's complaint and proceeded to ignore the request. He didn't have time to bother with explanations that didn't directly pertain to the task. When the dark girl spoke up with the list of rules, he felt slightly suspicious, but she was the doctor's special breakthrough or something like that, after all. She probably had more information than most of the group whether it was useful, wanted, or neither.

He had been hoping for a more specific set of rules, though. This almost concerned him more.

"Buono. Seguite." Waving a hand in a beckoning motion, he started down the hall, checking the walls as he walked. The corners in particular got his attention, though he payed attention to the flat areas and the spaces between the doors as well. "Abbiamo bisogno di una carta. Ma, non possiamo ottenere una carta. Però..." He stopped for a moment as he looked around another corner before continuing. "Ci sono regole per tutti edificii." Knowing full well how little that probably meant to anyone still following, he took a moment to summarize. "Mappa di emergenze - Fire Map."
