When Arc opened the door, Sonja looked inside a bit cautiously, only to stop at the scent. It smelled like...blood? "I have a bad feeling about this..." Stepping inside gingerly as well, he went to follow Laura-May, but looked around with some apprehension rather than examining the walls. "Hey, I think it would be better if we had some light in here before just walking through. Does anyone have..." His voice cracked a bit as he noticed the sudden dryness of his throat. Coughing a bit, he put a hand to the area and turned to the smaller girl as she told them that it was a trap. "Let's go...*hack*...before it..." He placed a hand on the wall nearest to him as a slight dizziness began to bother him as well. Was he dehydrated or something? "Come...on...hurry."

Personality

Curious and optimistic, he's always looking for new ways to do things, especially if it can shock people. He sometimes tries to put on a sort of "bad boy" persona at times or act cooler than he really believes he is, but he's actually a bit of an insecure softie who shows off only out of fear for being seen as someone insignificant. This has gotten him into trouble a few times, always to his regret, but I still remains as a nasty habit.

Biography

In his past life, he lost his parents at a young age and grew up penniless in the streets, stealing what he could just to survive. It was a rough existence, one where he grew used to going hungry often, dressing in rags, and sleeping in less-than-cozy places. What always got to him, however, was how many looked down upon him and others like him just for their unfortunate lot in life. No matter how downtrodden he became, though, he always dreamed that he would eventually find a better existence.

Unexpectedly, he received all that and more after falling in love with the beautiful and witty princess of his city, not even realizing who she was until after the fateful encounter which brought them together. Heartbroken at first that he would never be with her due to their difference in standing, his life soon turned around completely after accidently discovering a magic lamp, home to a powerful genie. With the help of this genie, he eventually managed to become a prince and ended up happy with the love of his life.

In his current life, he's the son of a CEO who works for a very successful company. Unfortunately, his parents are very overbearing, driving him to rebel against their ideals. As a member of an amateur band, he takes the stage name "street rat" and actually plays at many local establishments.

However fortunate he may be, though, he's actually pretty sensitive to the sight of people suffering due to where they were born on the social ladder for some reason. His desire to help people with less of a chance has inspired him to pursue studies in social sciences. He does hope to continue his music career as well, but this is one of his greater passions.

Appearance Description

About average height, with lightly tanned skin and hair of a light brown color. His eyes are actually a darker brown, though they catch light and reflect it easily, like a cat. He's not particularly muscular, but can be pretty agile.

"It's probably smart not to trust anyone, actually. But I'd rather deal with the known crisis first if possible." Sonja mumbled half to himself as he continued checking the wall he was near. He wasn't finding very much at the moment, but it was still something to do. And even though one of the others in the room mentioned how it was playing into the kidnapper's hands, he really couldn't think of a better way to spend his time at the moment. Even without the prompting, he would have ended up looking around like this for a way out, anyway.

"How do we suppose to get out then? If we don't follow the said psychopath, he or she'll either starve us up or just end us right then and now."

There was also that. If they were stuck in a single room completely under a psychopath's control to begin with, there was probably very little they could do that wouldn't somehow end up playing into their strange game. They'd find some way to make them do their bidding, otherwise. At least searching might reveal something more in their prison that they could work with.

It was that kind of a thought that kept him calm for the moment, anyway.

"Hm? Is this...no, not quite. Maybe...ah, this part sounds hollow. But is there a way in...?"

Same here! I have a lot to work on and work toward still, but eventually, I want be able to create some amazing stories. Something incredibly satisfying to make and enjoy...

I probably might not manage all that with only words myself, but I can still try with combinations of words and pictures, probably.

Maybe I should take an elective in fiction writing...It's probably something I should have done already, honestly. *shrug* Well, to the to-do list!

Poetic writing can be really cool, though. It's pretty amazing to see something written well enough to feel and see without any other form of multimedia aid. Some of my favorite writing pieces are a lot like that.

Of course, I like a good story as well. If I'm lucky enough to get both, it's an amazing day.

Sequential art has always sounded like fun as well. I'm really curious about it, but I haven't managed to really look into it...

I'm in animation, so I'm more used to drawing out what I'm thinking. I need practice even in that, though. :p
