Bio

Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

I...really can't tell if that's sarcasm. Should I take a longer look at the pictures?
I'm usually around. Just kinda distracted lately.

Story-wise, a little; it just doesn't make sense. But game-wise, we don't have too many options. I still think interference would be a good way to tie the loose ends, though. I did have another character I was thinking about bringing in if you think it could help.
@Diabolicalrhapsody

Nah, Katherin's picture shows wavy hair at straightest, arguably light curls from what I can tell. Eyes are close in color for both of them as well, though I can't tell with the skin because the lighting seems to be different for both drawings. Katherin does not have freckles, however, and the face shapes are different.
Thank you both! I'll have another reply up after work.

No worries. My partner actually hasn't shown any signs of still being here in almost a month, so if he doesn't show up soon to let us know, you can just grab Felice.
"After the Usurper Crisis which resulted in the deaths of all the known members of the original royal family, the Lot Knights, the sworn protectors of the kingdom, decided to have an election on whom the next king should be. They decided to have my father as king. Then he died of an illness. Two years ago. Leaving me as his heir and... I guess the rest is history. So far, no one's complaining. How about you, Tristyn? Do you mind sharing the history of this place? I hope it's not anything boring, being shut outside of civilization and all."

"O-oh, I'm sorry. Losing a family member to illness...I'm really sorry." Tristyn wanted to say something more comforting, but found himself at a bit of a loss. Sure, he lost family members as well, but still... At least she didn't sound too terribly upset now, but who knew? On the bright side, ruling the kingdom seemed to be going well.

"Um...the history of th-this place? Well..."

The young man bit his lip, trying to decide how was best to proceed with his answer. It certainly wasn't that boring of a history, but his family...hadn't exactly become well-known for good reasons. "...It's not...not really, but it's a little long. A-and I'd much rather read it than relay it, to be honest. It would take quite some time, and I'm sure that I'd mess it up somehow in the retelling."

He trailed off into silence as he turned a corner, a little worried that the excuse wasn't very good after all and that she would press for details. She was in a strange place with someone she hardly knew, after all, and she at least deserved a few answers after being forced to stay here. He couldn't stop feeling guilty about that. "I guess...an overview wouldn't be too much, though. For the most part, this place has always been...kind of a hideaway for...um...very, very advanced magic users. It was built a few hundred years ago, according to the records, and hasn't been found by very many people outside of the family since then. It wasn't really safe, with how many people wanted access to various magic-related secrets hidden here and...maybe held a bit of a grudge or two against some of them for a couple of likely trivial things. Sometimes people just start to feel threatened easily, I suppose..."

He did his best to leave out the bigger details, such as exactly what would cause people to keep a grudge against his family and what kinds of secrets they kept hidden. He thanked his stars that he hadn't been so flustered as to give his full name earlier, though he was certain that he wouldn't even be standing now if he had done so while the queen still held that sword in her hand.

"Anyway," he continued as he turned into another hallway, "my family has been living here since it was built, researching old magic, coming up with new magics, and sometimes dealing with some interesting creatures. Eventually I came along to continue the tradition of magical research and practice. Sorry, I guess that version did make it a little boring. It's better worded in the records, I assure you." He stopped in front of one of the doors as he finished his very short explanation, pushing it open with his side to reveal a room very much like a parlour in a large house. The wide windows overlooking a small part of the forest under one of the overhanging cliffs let in plenty of sunlight, making the room much brighter than the hallway they had just been in. The furniture was rather comfortable as well, mostly consisting of a few light blue-cushioned chairs around a small table and a few small shelves carrying books or decorations near a couple of the walls. "I almost forgot what it looked like in here. Please, take a seat anywhere."

We're still trying to figure out how to get back on track, anyway.

The best thing I can think of right now is a distraction. Maybe nothing big enough to end the class, but enough to make Hephaestus tell them to take a break or something? Then we could move on to the next fight after whatever it is is properly dealt with.

Thoughts?

The shorter boy clapped his hands, happy to see the other boy agree. He hadn't been sure that it would work, honestly. Bouncing quickly over to Kyle, he attempted to get into a similar position, though it quickly became difficult with the floaty skirt puffed out around his legs. It probably would have looked amusing to anyone watching, but he didn't care too much. "Ready! Countdown from three? Kolme...Kaksi..." He took a deep breath and tensed up slightly in anticipation, ready to push off the ground at the last number. "...Yksi! Go!" Even with the dress, he managed to take off fairly easily. The fact that it didn't go much lower than his knees meant that it didn't obstruct his legs too much, though the way it bounced off his legs when they moved was definitely a different sensation from when he ran in shorts or trousers. He still didn't run all that fast normally, however. It had never been his strong suit, but it was still fun.

"I'm...ah...Al...yeah, Al is fine." He accepted her hand and gave it a shake. The name she gave made it impossible not to grin just a little. Jazzy...it was cute. It sounded energetic and maybe a little quirky, but maybe in an endearing way. He couldn't tell whether it was her given name, but it seemed more likely that she had chosen it herself. Kinda like the names he usually went by, actually. Heh, something in common, maybe. Who knew? "So...little brothers, huh? I bet that gets interesting. Can't say I really know what that's like, having younger siblings. I'm sure I'd be fine with them, teaching them all kinds of cool things and all, but it just never happened with my family. No big deal, though." Finishing up with the gauze, he handed back the remaining material. "Hey, thanks again. And thanks to your brothers, too. I guess I owe you all one."
