Forbidden =/= Lost, I dunno who Zancrow is, and Mayt isn't unhittable, but it would be beyond most people at the moment. (Edo-Damian probably could, since he's so damn fast.) And I feel like Gentsai isn't as much of a pushover as Edo-Beatrix was. But Lazlo's attacks are mostly heavy punches and kicks.

for one no... lazarus isn't heavy punches and kicks.... he relies on speed... and quick strikes with his angelic magic. Its his god slayer magic which uses beefy attacks which is to be expected.
and zancrow is the godslayer from grimiore heart in cannon

Lazarus

He glared at Mayt. "You forget who you speak to Mayt. Did I not put you completely out of commission last time we fought?" He grunted. He saw Mayt getting worked up now. "Now now." He lightly touched his blade with his hand and lowered it. "Be calm for a moment." The man in front of them wouldn't listen to them. "Peaceful travel or not, we can't all survive in Earthland. That is fact." He grunted. Sasha landed next to them. She said what she had to say. "Oh?!" He was glad, they could all go home together. He turned to Mayt. "Alright! We can destroy this monstrosit...." He stopped, realising they had just almost come to blows. He cringed a little, before allowing few words to leave his mouth. "Hey. I'm sorry." He was silent, allowing his fist to glow white. His eyes narrowed, watching Mayt running inside. "DO WHAT MUST BE DONE MAYT!" He yelled. His attention turned to the machine. "Right!" He lunged forward, smashing his fist into the casing, ripping a piece of casing off as he recoiled his hand. It was harder than the material looked, but it was breakable. He charged up another punch.

Edo-Lazarus

The slap stung as cold ice. He was shocked that she had hit him. It all happened so fast. She kissed him on the cheek to somewhat apologise. Her lips were surprisingly warm against his freezing cold cheek. She proceeded to lay her lips onto his, softly, but quickly. She quickly left, whilst he sat in the bed, frozen solid, not knowing what to do. He twitched, before jerking forward. "H....hey! Wait!" The door closed. He flung himself out of the bed, onto his feet. An excruciating sharp pain shot from his feet, all the way up his back. The wounds, where the arrows had been set alight, and he felt as though they blazed with flames. "Mphhhhhhhh!" He covered his mouth to muffled the noise of pain. He wasn't letting the only thing he had left slip away. He pulled the courage up and took a step forward. "MPhhhhhhhhhhh!" He kept his hand on his mouth. He ignored it, before taking another step, and another, and another. His legs shook with pain. He gave and an collapsed forward, with a loud clatter. "Miss... I mean Sasha Wait!" He lay face flat on the floor. He looked up, the door a few meters away. He narrowed his eyes and grunted through the pain. He crawled, yes crawled to the door, but could not however reach the handle. "Fuck..." He whispered. "Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!" He slammed his fist on the door, unable to open it. He pulled himself to the door, and leaned his back against it. "Yes. This is what you are Lazarus. Nothing more, nothing less." He slumped down and shut his eyes.

And the fight between Mayt and Lazarus last time was pretty close, and all Mayt knew how to do then was his "Warp Energy" ability, which is one of the most basic. Now he can do all kinds of shit with his magic. Laz'd be lucky to even hit Mayt right now. So, Advantage -> Mayt.

by that logic, isn't god slayer magic a forbidden and lost magic? Zancrow pretty much immovable. It would seem rather unfair and overpower if nobody could hit you

The key phrase you're missing Yip is that with Edolas's lack of magic, a memory barrier that Mayt had that prevented full use of his magic was removed. Therefore, he has full use of his magic.

i still dont see why that would give him a sudden advantage over lazarus? Lazarus whooped his ass last time, so surely this would bring them level?

mayt's level of improvement wouldn't have been anymore than lazarus'. Just because he is an S class, doesn't give him any advantage.
