She only picked up an apple, though naturally the ripest, reddest one available. She looked over to him with a pointed glare. "I truly dislike the fact you grew up here sometimes." She sighed, walking to a table and taking a seat. Pulling a small knife from the top of her boot she began to cut slices from the apple. She was quiet for a moment as she looked at him, before suddenly saying "Sometimes I pretend I'm someone else. Not quite like that, but it helps. I mean one day you're here, bored beyond belief, and then the next, well..." She paused and smiled at him, at a smile which told more than words could, of the sights they'd seen and the things they'd done. "Then again I suppose I spend a lot of my time pretending to be someone else. But I do understand how stark that difference is." How the monotony will eat away at you. How can one possibly be happy to stay still when they know just how big of a world it is?
Kaden could only grin as he watched the glare radiating off of Kat. Ever since Kaden noticed the comparison between her father and the actor he mentioned, he never missed the chance to tease Kat over it. Though Kaden could not help but wonder on occasion, if he poked around the internet...would he find someone that looked just like his dear cousin? Sadly Kaden valued his life too much to risk it he didn't think she would kill him oh no its what she would do that would involve him staying alive that scared him. Picking up a small sub sandwich from the line he accompanied Kat to the lunch table and sat down next to her. As Kaden worked on peeling the wrapping paper off he listened to Kat speak of the monotony of the Academy and how could people possibly stand dealing with it for so long. As Kat finished Kaden shrugged, "To most people the world is what they perceive by their lifestyle Kat. Most people get up, eat breakfast, go to school and or work. Then when the day is done they come home and go to sleep." Kaden said. "Most people here have not experienced real conflict yet and are only here to learn how to control their powers. That's it some don't even want their lives to change. I know I didn't when I first filled out the registration forms to attend here." Kaden said before taking a bite out of his sandwich and swallowing. "That changed though during the first time Magneto invaded the Academy." Kaden revealed. "During that whole mess for the first time in my life...I felt different. Like I was actually doing something that felt good. I guess you can say I developed a craving for adventuring." Kaden said with a chuckle. "I guess you could call this withdrawal." He chuckled. "Still..." He suddenly said reaching into his coat. "If you are really bored Kat....I may have some ideas how to alleviate the monotony of your routine." he said with a grin. "Have you ever tried Spleunking or Sky Diving?" he asked.
@Z2010Deadmeat "I people watch, I hang out with the few people who tolerate me, I train. I also collect unique weapons. I think my main hobby is building weapons though." He listed as the limp healed itself and he shuddered.
Lee crossed his arms after pulling his hood down listening to Flood speak of his usual hobbies. "Intersting ways to kill time." he said with a small grin. "I myself am definitely one for collecting unique things as I am sure you are aware of." Lee mentioned before leaning against a nearby locker as he thought over what he was about to say. "Since you seemed to figure me out so well. What I am about to offer you is both highly dangerous and extremely ludicrous. Though I can tell just by looking into your eyes you those very situations seem to be the type you enjoy the most." He said the grin widening on his face. "I know how to make money and quickly for that matter. Plus I am guessing you are the one responsible for making those strange paint bombs I have been seeing all over the school as of late. How would you like to put them to a more proper usage? " he asked.
Have to agree I am enjoying the Guild again with all these improvements.
This sounds like a Death Eater national past time lol.
Dizzy....I love your profile pic.
I think I'm really losing it.....yeah I must really be going pure mad if my muse brought me to this conclusion.....I am tempted to create a child of Aquaman OC.......
<Snipped quote by Z2010Deadmeat> She listened to his tale calm and passive as she simply listened. She couldn't empathise with him, but she could sympathishe was not entirely cold-hearted. She had seen his struggle in accepting himself, even if she had not cared for him at the start, and knew undertaking such a task alone would be trying in so many ways. She could not say that she agreed with his decision to spare the queen, more blood would be spilt as a result she was sure, but saw no reason to mention it now. When he lightened the conversation she followed his lead, finally walking into the cafeteria. "I have many friends. And yes, I suppose some of the time has been spent travelling to them. Mostly though I have just been.. entertaining myself. It's a big world, so many things to see and do." She said enigmatically with a small smile, clearly less forthcoming with the tales of her past couple of years.
"It is most certainly" Kaden said in agreement entering the cafeteria along with her. Heading to the line to pick up food he glanced at the clock for a moment, good they still had time to eat something before class. In truth it felt strange, after spending two years constantly travelling and only stopping when he was injured. Now he was back here, standing in a line as various students around himself and Kat made light conversations seem like such a big deal. It was odd, and it felt slightly unnatural after facing dangerous life and death situations. Turning to Kat he spoke again. "So did you ever figure out why exactly your father decided to disguise himself as that British actor Tom something. You know the one with all the fan girls?" He asked teasingly
Flood vanished into the crowd the moment Kagerou stepped outside grabbing Lee and shoving him out of sight of her, while Flood got knocked out of a window by a random student. He hit the floor and felt his bones snap. The scream of pain could be heard from the third floor, coincidentally where he just fell from. His bones started healing quickly and he got up and limped to the hallway where he pushed Lee. "This is why I hate and love my powers. The pain of bones mending at insane speeds is comparable to the worst pain you've ever felt, multiplied by five and divided by two. At the same tine though, I'm not dead!" He exclaimed as he made sure they were alone.
Lee didn't have time to respond as Flood suddenly grabbed him and hauled him away. Before he could react however the boy ended up tumbling out a window. Well he may have survived that fall. Will probably never be able to walk again but it wasn't Lee's problem. However much to his shock Flood shortly reappeared with a small limp Earning Flood had a healkng factor made the Thief grin a bit. "Impressive." He said crossing his arms. "And what exactly do you do in your free time if I may ask?"
Still morning before the first class.
@Z2010Deadmeat "His name is Anthony Luthor, heir to one of the biggest companies in the world. You not knowing him proves you're not from any third world country. Besides, you're too well fed." Flood responded as Anthony disappeared into the infirmary. "It doesn't matter where you're from though. What does matter is that you're pretty good at staying a free man. Which is easier said then done when you have our principal. You probably have your rules, every thief does. I only have one rule. Two actually. Rule one, success means everything, rule two, always adapt." Flood quickly listed. "You seem to follow those rules as well, plus a few more probably. But I'm rambling. I came to find out what your purpose here was." Flood looked at his clothes and grimaced. He was going to have to go to the hideout to change later.
As Flood began to explain who this Luthor character was a small grin tugged at his lips. One of the biggest companies on this planet eh? That was a vault filled with jewels just waiting for a thief to appropriate. "Very interesting..." Lee said under his breath as Flood continued onto listing why Lee was not from the local area. Crap w-was he being read by some random stranger? the Phantom would be bashing Lee over the head for being so obvious of his real purpose at the Academy. For someone who could read a woman like Kat so efficiently he did a poor job at concealing his own image, Lee mays as well be labeled a hypocrite. It took another second before the young thief recognized where he heard Flood from before. Oh right Flood was the kid who had the gun and participated in helping Kat locate him just an hour ago. As Flood began to list his rules off did Lee chuckle under his breath. "That first one is more of a principle than an actual rule. The second one is good however." He stated before Flood then stated his reason for tracking Lee to begin with. In truth Lee had half a mind to bash Flood over the head so the son of Deadpool would stop finding him and following him. A thief with a loud follower may as well retire early while they still breathed or were not locked up. However there was something off about this guy, and Lee did not mean just the paint splattered over most of his attire. No something was different about this character, it was the same curiosity that drew him towards Kat just earlier the same day. "If I were to divulge all of my secrets what would be left to make a person wonder?" Lee asked turning his hooded gaze towards Flood. "I am someone who makes success happens by less than legal means. Something I am sure you can appreciate, you seem well informed for an individual who chooses to wear paint though." He mentioned gesturing to Flood's clothes.
Flood was busy tailing Lee when he saw Anthony. "God damn it." He muttered to himself as he began tailing Anthony next. He walked next to Lee and smiled. "You're not from here." He stated without directly looking at Lee. "There's no way you are considering how fascinated you were by a tablet. Let me guess, you're from the distant past. No wait, you're from space. Alternate dimension. Stop me when I hit the right answer." Flood glanced at Anthony to make sure he was still in sight, then continued being inconspicous. As inconspicuous as one could be half covered in paint anyways.
Crap looks like someone covered in paint decided to tail him while Lee was following Anthony. As Flood began to list off every possible conclusion on where Lee was from he remained quiet. Flood did say for Lee to stop him when he hit the right answer, so in the thief's mind silence meant none of the above. "Or maybe I am just from a third-world country that doesn't have access to stuff like that." He suggested glancing at the boy from underneath his hood. "And if your going to stalk me....do it quietly." He whispered to Flood, Thieving Rule No. 5: Shut Up or be Locked up. As they continued down the hall Lee watched Anthony enter the infirmary and shut the door behind him. "Interesting...." He said before turning to Flood. "Any idea who the guy in the nice threads are?" He asked raising a brow beneath his hood.
Kinda ironic concerning Ben's clone since one of the Spidey clone from the Clone Saga was also known as Ben.
