Despite Landeel's flailing the molten metal was starting to seep into his helmet. He could no longer see what was going on around him, but a moment later he felt as something grazed the side of his helmet, just barely missing and taking enough of the molten steel of him that he could, somewhat hesitantly open one, he then saw that it was his own sword that had grazed him. It was laying on the floor just beside him, he had no idea how it got there but he was at least glad for it, he could thank whoever had recovered it later. He tipped his head forward in the momentary reprieve his sword had caused when it flew into him to get the steel away from his other eye, once there was no more danger of the steel slipping through he picked up his sword, unaware of Cythlla's spells on it as they died the moment he touched the weapon. With his sword in hand he got back into the fight with the kest, the remaining bit of red hot molten still that still covered part of his armor made it hard for the kest to touch him.
