What kind of personality does he have? what reason does he have for being here? what USE would he be to the group? we have plenty of people who can hurl bullets down the way.

What do his perks have to do with him? My character has animal friend because she refined her medical skills on animals, so she came to understand how they think and has developed a natural animal magnetism, then I made up my own perk because she's from the Pitt, so she's naturally more resistant to radiation and disease. I understand that him being a super mutant makes stuff like that a lot more difficult, as he doesn't know anything about his life before becoming a mutant, but there's nearly 125 years there that he COULD remember, and you could do so much with it.

You need to give more personality to your character... bring your character to LIFE, not just make it some cookie cutter "Oh hey it's a super mutant.... and he can fix stuff!" we already have a super mutant that can fix stuff, and he has the added entertainment of schizophrenia that leads him to making cool shit which gives him a good approach to just about anything.

Have you given thought to making a ghoul or human instead...? it might be easier to come up with an interesting backstory for them than it would be a super mutant.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding like a bitch, but this is a high casual roleplay, which requires at the very least some character building, and if the character is nothing but a few lines of text, that's next to impossible to do

As for your character, I'm still not really convinced. While I appreciate that you edited and cleaned up your writing from the first attempt, there's still no paragraph formatting, and it's still a really sparse, and to be frank, boring bio. Read through some of the other character bios. My character has an entire back story going back to his childhood.

Dallas is an estranged NCR ranger looking for a lost love. Poe is essentially a living nightmare who happens to be a brilliant technician and explosives expert. Barnabus the Hunter Extraordinaire's bio wasn't long, but it was creatively done. Sweet Gin has literally thousands of words in her backstory, and while I don't expect that, I need more than just a couple paragraphs.

I'm not asking for anything crazy, but I want people involved who are going to put effort in their posts. If you can show me REAL effort and keep that writing level up, I'll reconsider, but as of right now, I'm gonna say no.

Also, I just wanted to say, I really like your guys' ideas for Philly. I was thinking something in a VERY different direction, but I think your Amish ideas are way more interesting. Good job guys. I'd like to run with that.

I've cleared several schematics for weapons and modifications with the bossman so I'm officially opening up shop. In a similar fashion to our resident eldritch horror, if you have any ideas you'd like to see done, just let me know and I'll see what Scrap can do.

NOTE: For explosives and energy weapons I could feasibly offer upgrades but not much else. On the bright side, improvisation is where Repair excels so even if you just have a vague combination of stuff you think might work I can run it through the old noggin and see what pops out.

I like to think that they realized that the giant anti-communist robot was a horrible idea after it went batshit insane and tore through half of DC >.>

Unrelated: I considered making a flash bang out of a camera but figured that would be more explosives than repair.

Poe would likely be upgrading his own weapons and those of the other explosives/energy weapons users - all two of them. :P

Interesting fact: The individual batteries in a standard power cell is approximately the size of some bullet calibers. It wouldn't be too hard to repurpose spent ammunition casing, packing energy cell batteries into them along with a hardened casing, which would rupture and release their energy content upon impact. This could provide everybody using boring ballistic weapons with a bit of a small energy-explosive kick with each shot (although a number of bullet calibers are too small to repurpose in this fashion, including 5mm, 5.56mm, 9mm, any kind of shot other than a slug, etcetera).

I'll get to work setting up a Workshop profile for weapon upgrades and custom item creation via Poe's workstation.

Maybe ballistic weapons could be super heated to assist with penetration... Wire the barrel so that as the bullet passes through it's heated to super hot temperatures...

Heated, like super heated bullets would actually be less adept with penetration and would more easily deform on impact with a solid object, it may have better yawing when it impacts soft targets like body tissue or the like.

It'd be much easier, faster, and less intensive to simply make jacketed ammunition for AP duties. A number of 9x19mm rounds exist IRL which use P+ powder loadings and AP rounds, these are famously used by Russian special forces weapons.

However recoil obviously is more, unless you strengthen the weapon's recoil absorbing system, then you will have issues loading normal 9x19mm ammo and can only use your P+ AP ammo.

However this is Fallout so w/e. lol.
