You know, I thought the exact same thing. And she can apparently do something involving illusions, so that should be fun.

Yellow trailer is confirmed to have already happened, and Yang may drive like a maniac if Neptune is anyone to go by. Also character development abounds, for good guys and villains.

I like the thought behind the White Fang and the masks. Also, big mech. I didn't actually think they would use it though. More just show it off and let it sit in the background for at least a few episodes for dramatic tension. But oh well. I expect Cinder will be pissed at Roman for showing their hand like that too. I mean, Team RWBY knowing they have a big robot is one thing, but they just had a running battle through Vale and onto a busy highway, with major collateral damage, in a mech that has barely even begun deployment. That's gonna draw attention.

The combat was good though. All the pairing names used for combo attacks, seeing how much of a tank Yang is (she's like the Hulk man, she just gets stronger the more you hit her). Also, seeing more of Weiss's combat ability with her Glyphs. Special shout out to that slo mo thing she did to Blake, and the combo with Ruby to make ice bullets.

Seems Yang is more 'chummy with jr than originally stipulated in season 1.
-Also, this makes the first (and likely only) prediction of a rooster-teeth episode I get 100% correct (right up until I get it wrong).

Verdict is still out on my prediction about caboose, aside from the in-joke that he is indeed secretly the smartest blue on the team.

METAL GEAR

I have to say the forth episode was pretty sick. I loved the chase scene with the robot.

So then, Dust infusion into a person has been confirmed as a thing. It sounds very painful and incredibly dangerous, but it's probably useful somehow. Let the OC's commence.

Also the fact that no one knows where the hell Dust came from. Do I smell a future plot point?

I wanna see dust as clothes. And hell yeah, plot point. Dust is also a nonrenewable resource--we might see the Schnees go bankrupt if Torchwhich keeps jacking their shit.

Also, stream confirmed semblances are...kinda...hereditary. I'm very interested in semblances.

And

I wouldn't go far as to say they'd go bankrupt. I mean, theres three whole other Kingdoms worth of Dust that Torchwick hasn't touched, and I'm sure they have stockpiles laid in somewhere. Now, investor confidence would be an issue, but I have a feeling that the Schnee Dust Company isn't publicly traded anyway.. Given what Dust is used for though, it does raise the question of what he needs all that Dust for.

Considering Torchwick is working for Cinder, and the little speech he gave about sticking it to the man, he just wants the Kingdoms' governments overturned so he can have his fun. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who has a goal other than what he wants to do. Cinder has an agenda, but we don't know what it is.

As for all of the Dust, we know it has a tremendous amount of energy. It powers weapons (and according to Roman, is what some bullets are made from), presumably the androids seen before, the Atlesian Paladin (considering that the SDC played a role in its development), and Yang's bike (possibly). But we've mostly seen its combat capabilities. Considering that Cinder's faction wants to start a war, it seems obvious that the Dust is going to be used for war. I mean, if I was starting a war, I'd want as much weapons and ammunition as possible. And with the White Fang, they have their army.

Personally, I'm taking Torchwick's speech to the White Fang with a grain of salt. At this point there's no way to prove if that's what he actually thinks, or if it was just him playing to the crowd, and given how anime tends to work, I'm not gonna leap to hasty conclusions. And while the White Fang may be an army for them, it's fairly evident that this is an alliance of convenience that will end as soon as one side thinks they've won against their common foe and has a big enough dagger to stab the other in the back with.

Anyway, yes, Dust has a lot of energy given the explosion generated by the presence of particles in the air in Episode 2, and given the lack of gas stations and the like, I would say it's used as fuel, as well as other things. I guess I'm just trying to reconcile the dust store robbery also in episode 1 with 'let's build an army to fight a war'

Cinder's dress seems to light up whenever she uses her fire magics. I'd reckon that's here 'weapon'.

Idk about you guys, but the end of last episode was pretty underwhelming. Like, I got that Cinder and them are planning some shit and we're supposed to be wondering what that is...but I couldn't take Cinder seriously...sewing and shit. xD

I did like the opening, though, with Pyrrha kicking ass.

Best part was Jaune singing.

Worst was Weiss rejecting his singing. :p

We needed even more vague and ominous foreshadowing.

It sounded like Cinder wants to take Pyrrha's semblance away Amon style or something. Hopefully that's not the case. RWBY's been really predictable plot wise so far.

I just couldn't stand her VA. Sounded absolutely uninteresting and half-assed.

Well, Ms. Nigri is a cosplayer, not a voice actress.

It shows. However, being given such an important role means, at the very least, more effort could be taken. Voice acting takes practice sure, but enthusiasm and effort are easily accessed from the very beginning. There seemed be absolutely no attempt at being more than "just a cosplayer".

Yes, I will agree, Phyrra kicks butt. But then again, we knew that she did this entire time. You know, winner of the Mistral Tournament or what have you and all that. This is just the first real chance we get to see it in a solo setting against things that aren't Grimm. So, worth it,

Jaune gets shot down, funny, but expected. Denied ship is still denied, obvious attraction is denied, nobody can figure out who the hell the story wants them to be with ;p
