"Pretty sure I was about to cut your head off." Arty's lips twisted in a smirk and his right hand began to spark as he stalked closer to robocop. He'd seen what he could do, felt the energy before the blast, and now knew what to look for to avoid it in the future. The other man moved with the confidence and assurance of one suited for combat, the kind of stance and posture you'd expect to see from a greek hero or a modern comic-book protagonist. It was almost TOO cool, if Arty was being honest. I mean, how is it even possible to catch the light from all the right angles and be completely photogenic in the midst of an all out death brawl in the woods? Apparently it was possible though, cuz this guy was pulling it off.

He could have sworn he felt a smirk develop beneath the mask as they close the distance, and when they finally reached melee range and the other man launched his attack, Arty returned the smirk with his own. The opposing sword came in from his left, a hard and fast swing leaving little room to avoid, but Arty had no intention of avoiding. In an instant, a brilliant white blade flashed into his hand with a low crack of thunder and met the oncoming blade, severing the metal in two as it passed. The cyborg didn't even have time to gasp in shock (if indeed he actually were capable of gasping) before the blade arced back around and severed its head from its shoulders, the swing augmented to inhuman levels of strength and speed by Arty's powers.

Turning back to face the remaining fighters, he raised his arms, sword still shining brilliantly in his right hand, and gave the group a dark smile.

"Three for zip, bitches. Who's up next?"

There were flashes of purple lightning on the edge of the woods and a vortex of purple appeared. It exploded outwards into a red orb with purple rings orbiting around it before shattering into millions of pieces like glass. Standing in the now clear and smoldering patch in the treeline was a man in archaic armor holding the limp body of another. Alexander ripped his knife from the other mans visor and threw his lifeless corpse to the side. Sheathing his knife he surveyed his new conditions and sighed. "Cant believe the bastard managed to warp me to who knows where or when." suddenly he noticed the fighting and quickly grabbed his assault rifle from its sling. Dammit the war must still be raging and I just got thrown into a huge battle. he advanced cautiously and saw one man behead a cyborg its neck spouting gouts of simulated blood. Another was laying on the ground covered in god knows what as it leaked out of him. He also observed the nervous kid on the tree and decided it would be best if he waited and used the wounded one as bait so alexander ducked behind vegetation to conceal his position and waited for his trap to be sprung.

Irritating.

Painful.

Quite honestly, this entire fiasco was becoming all too cluttered and all too frustrating for Overlord to keep his calm for much longer. At this point, he had been wounded and insulted. These things are quite uncommon to one of his stature, so of course he was becoming quite angry. As he lay there on the ground with his bony ironclad fingers tightening around the hilt of his sword, he thought aloud. "Why did I come here, again?" There was a short pause, as though he were waiting for someone to respond. "Oh, right. I was sent a letter. One that detailed how I would die. I have yet to do so, and I've been here long enough to kill an enhanced human." Again he paused, reaching into the hole that was once his chest cavity. "And usually those are the hardest to slay. So I'm assuming that I have been here for quite some time, I don't quite carry a clock with me everywhere I go."

Withdrawing his hand he saw an acrid blackish-brown fluid dripping from his gauntlets, his remaining organs had been liquefied. The fluid was noticeably oozing through the plates in his armor and onto the ground beneath him. Had the Overlord's lips still been on his face, there would have been the most gratified smile on his face. "Well, at least i have one plus from having someone damage my armor and body."

With a bit of effort he pushed himself back to his feet, staring down at the congealed puddle of his flesh and blood on the ground. "As long as it makes the ground moist, I can use it."

Guess what happens when blood or liquefied organs soaks the ground?

Annoyed by the large mans speed he decided to set his trap early. He waited the few milliseconds before the large sword hit him and vanished just before it did, his body turning into a fine mist and rushing around the sword harmlessly. An instant later he re-formed above and behind the beast of a being. making sure he was at least 20 meters away from his opponant before quickly drawing and throwing digan and geth into the ground not giving the big man time to react, the three blades formed a triangle in the ground with the hopefully doomed fighter unwitting in its boundries.

The three blades were the corners of the energy net he had made, it would need a second to charge but after that it would hopefully trap the large man, Max poured some of his collected energy into lith, distorting its features as it began to mutate and grow in his hand.

A strong current of air following Rauchnaut's blew up the mist in shape of his pesky lizard opponent into a thin veil of smoke, only for it to completely dissapear the next second. What was it, an illusion? Some sort of decoy? The answer came fast, Max reappering within the demon's sight - only now, straight behind him.

The thought of facing a teleporting enemy were slightly unpleasant to him, especialy armed with just a sword - but as his mind told him, there were little to fear. Before the dread completely took over him, he had already piced all he knew about the lizrd together, surfacing the evident truth: it were no real mage, capable of multiple instances of such an ardous feat as teleporting, neither using it effectively for offence, nor possible able to keep evading his attack in such a manner for too long. His blades, the tacky bow and sparse use of the shadow magic demonstrated earlier affirmed Rauchnaut's suspicions, and so, the demon only had to tire him out.

Ignoring the two blades, which obviously weren't directed at him, Rauchnaut covered the 20 meter - a petty distance for artificial muscle - in one powerful jump, and threw a downwards diagonal slash once again, aiming to hit Max just as he reached the ground. The momentum generated by his fall would have to be somehow compensated, and even if he were to dodge, the demon were sure his opponent would be restricted in his movements, creating the chance for another follow up strike.

Wire caught a glint in his peripheral vision (That would be Alexander), but didn't take his eyes off of the opponent in front of him. He heard his words, and quickly swiped his hand, throwing the zombie guts off of it and into the bushes. It made a slight rustle as it sprayed across the leaves. The rotting knight seemed happy for it to have leaked onto the ground, and he didn't want to take any chances.

He resumed his stance: gloves up, with as wide a range of view as possible. The only thing he wasn't prepared for was an attack that would rip the tree behind him to sunder along with him. He slowed the world slightly, and took in every possible sound. He would not be subjected to a sneak attack.

A frontal assault on the other hand.. He didn't know if he had the strength or the speed to repel one. He didn't know anything anymore: there was a horror movie extra standing in front of him.

"Seriously dude? A bush? You're wearing a hulking suit of shiny armor and you think a bush is going to hide you?"

Speaking to Alexander with his usual sardonic nonchalance, Arty began walking a slowly tightening circle around the newcomer, taking him away from the other combatants and towards mister camo. His sword still shone brightly in his hand, the blade a full meter long and dual edged, and it burned/cut through any vegetation it touched with not a single ounce of resistance. Maybe like a quarter of an ounce on the really thick stuff, but definitely not a full ounce. The heat of the pommel felt good in his hand, comforting in the raw power it emanated. As he walked, he began to build more energy in his left hand, though the increase in static would be almost completely unnoticeable thanks to the already brilliant light and power show that was the sword in his right hand. Yeah, this new guy was gonna be just as toasted as the last one.

"Newsflash, it doesn't."

Alexander stood up and dropped a small box as he walked out of the undergrowth keeping his eyes on Arthur and circling so the man had to turn to see him. "Yeah well it was worth a shot I really wanted a chance to observe before delving head into it but im guessing you work for the Ishida Corporation so I have no choice but to kill you". Moving with inhuman speed Alexander brought his rifle to bare firing at Arthurs left shoulder trying to force him to dodge right. As he fired at the man he made sure to aim in an alternating sequence of chest to stomach.

Max lightly landed and lept to the side quickly, smirking at the net took effect leaving him with drastically slowed reaction times. Bringing lith around he grinned more as the lance formed and it's ability was put to use, the roots of the trees around the two moving under the ground around them. He singled out the roots around his opponent and forced them to grow rapidly directly at the man before he would be able to move out of the way. Doing his best to trap and pull the large man under the ground below him before he got his strength back, any roots that made contact with him just as quickly began to grow on the metallic mans 'skin'.

The poor fellow really did fall for the same trick twice. Dodging, the lizard leapt to Rauchnaut's right (the left side obviously out of question, as that was where the latter portion of the sword's trajectory lied), as if he had completely forgot about the vicous false edge strike narrowly evaded less than even half a second ago.

The demon's strike was even faster than before this time, catching Max mid-air: cross-stepping, he brought the right foot over the leading left and towards Max, this movement both bringing him closer and twisting his hips clockwise; in cojunction with his footwork went a clockwose torso twist, empowering his swing further. At first, Rauchnaut's arms were extended and lowered, but as the follow up attack were executed, he brought his elbows to his sides and bent his arms, the crossguard ending up just above the right shoulder. Together, these movements conveyed the sword a hooking motion, cleaving at Max's spine from behind.

The sword had barely landed when Rauchnaut was ready with his first attack, and with a second to spare, this lightning fast attack, that could be performed in a blink of the eye even by a human warrior, would be over by the time the net activated.

Ensnared by roots and slowed by the net, Rauchnaut still held his ground, feet parted wide and whole body tensed, the great power of his artficial muscle shrugging off the attempts to topple and pull him to the ground. While the demon felt weak, he weren't going to show any signs of fear, assuming a plow stance with the tip of the sword raised to Max's throat level.

"That's a pretty hefty sentence to base on an assumption. I mean, what if you're wrong? What if I'm just a guy in the wrong place at the wrong time?" He kept moving himself, keeping the other man on the opposite side of the invisible circle they were walking with the bush where he'd been hiding in the middle. If he kept on his current course, it wouldn't be long before the armored warrior had his back to the other fighters, and it would be interesting indeed to see how he handled that.

As he moved, he shifted into a fencer's stance, sword held in front and left hand behind his back as electricity began to arc between the fingers, hiding the gathering power from his enemy both with his body and the outpouring of power from the sword. Even to scanners, the buildup in his hand wouldn't register as anything more than an increase in the power forming the sword, as he was careful to keep the blade between his opponent and the hand at his back. When the bullets streaked toward him, he casually tipped the blade to intercept the first near the end, sending it careening off above and to the right, then caught the second roughly midway down the blade and sent it off to the left. Any further shots were intercepted with the same casual ease even as Arty continued the conversation he'd started with his opponent. "Though I suppose if I'm not, killing me is about the only option you've got. Not that you're going to succeed, mind you..."

As the man continued to move and block his bullets Alexander activated he turret in the bush and it sprung to life turning to open fire on Arthur. Dropping the mag out of his assault rifle he replaced it with precision only a veteran can in one fluid movement. He then turned and shunted toward the lizard at blinding speed aiming to ram into its back and knock it to the ground. Should that occur he would open fire on it.

Seeing the new opponent coming Max didn't get the rest he'd hoped for. But rather than fight this new threat he decided on fighting the only one here who he'd had a chance to watch. Rolling his body as much as he could in the extreamly short time he had to react he managed to glance off most of the force, dull pain covering his side as he practically rolled off to the side of the charge, aiming his tail to whip at the back of the mans legs and hopefully stumbling towards the temporarily trapped metal man. Hitting the ground rolling he landed near Geth, which he quickly grabbed as got back to his feet and vanished. Re-forming off to the side of the fighter he'd seen using electricity, hiding with Lith between the two to check his side.

Wire

To his surprise, the dead man fell back on the floor immediately after getting back up. Wire wondered whether he had succumbed to the gaping hole in his chest, before the sound of gunfire was quickly brought to his attention.

He jumped up into the tree he had his back to to get a better vantage point. He discovered that shining glare in his peripheral vision from earlier was an assault rifle wielding warrior who now seemed to be fighting a man who had electric powers. Once again, he did not know what to make of this. But what he did know was that his little steel gloves would not be up to the task of taking down the Spartan Space Marine and Cole MacGrath.

...

He really didn't want to have to do this.

Gingerly, he left the tree and approached the dead dead man. He reached down to his hand, still clutching that sword, and wrenched it from his fingers in one fluid motion. No ill effects or voodoo curses yet. The sword seemed to want to be put down, as if it had a mind of it's own, but it didn't appear to have any power other than inducing a moderate guilt trip for stealing a dead dead man's sword. It wasn't very effective.

It was a ridiculously heavy thing. Wire knew that he would never be able to properly wield that mass of metal properly; all he could do was drag the blade against the ground. But if he needed to, he knew he could give it a good swing. It would hurt like hell to push his muscles that far, but he knew that he could. And with this knowledge he pulled it along with him through the undergrowth, away from gunfire. Wire would think of a good way to use his new toy.

Arty dove forward and to the left as the turret began to turn toward him, hitting the ground rolling and coming up next to it as his sword sliced cleanly through the metal, ending its tirade before it ever truly began. That was the trouble with stationary attacks, more often than not your opponent wasn't. It was then that he felt a presence disappear from the melee in front of him and reappear off to his right. All those neurons firing on full had the lizard man lit up like a Christmas tree in Arty's sixth sense, shrubbery or no shrubbery, and that meant there was little he could do to hide himself. Apparently he didn't know that though, and remained crouched behind a particularly dense bush with one arm outstretched toward Arty himself. Probably a weapon of some kind, and ultimately irrelevant.

Without giving so much as a glance toward the lizard, Arty opened his left hand and let loose the energy that had been building there, sending it streaking in a high arc through the trees and down toward the lizard's face. After all, when you have an attack as fast as lightning, why not aim for where it'll do the most damage?

The lizard dodged, but not completely. As he stopped shunting Alexander turned and noticed the being held by roots. Taking out his other two turrets he threw them to either side of it about ten feet away and allowed them to open fire at the same time he did on the hulk. All of them aiming for the beasts center mass as to ensure the most hits.

With practically no warning for the attack max's reflexes kicked in to save him, for the most part, from the electricity. His whole body getting pushed violently back as shadows poured off him to form a substitute, the clone only half forming in time to take the hit. The lightning ripping through the clone and hit lith who while un-grounded couldn't fully take the hit, sending the remainder through max's arm. Pain surging in his chest from his side mixed with a tingling numbness from the electricity passing through his body leaving him momentarily unable to move. Frozen in place he used lith's ability rather than trying to move and risking losing what defense he had with lith stuck in front of him and geth by his side due to how he landed, focusing energy into lith and starting to move the roots in the ground and forcing them to move out from under the man who attacked him before launching up out of the ground to attack, causing the ground to drop about half a foot as the roots attack.

He could feel the roots receding from where he stood, could feel the pain that coursed through his opponent's body, and he would have smiled if he'd been capable of feeling smug in that moment. He wasn't though, thanks to the curse of his ability, and he simply crouched as the ground dropped and spun in a perfect circle as the roots shot toward where his heart had been, now striking only empty air as his sword arced around and severed each and every one. A small burst of air sent the pieces flying off through the trees, and Arty stood to fully face the lizard man.

"I'll make you a deal, Godzilla. You stop using your magic..." He held up a hand as lightning danced across his fingers. "And I'll stop shooting at you. We can finish this skill against skill. How's that sound?"

The enormous monster was completely helpless as the hail of gunfire brought it down. The bullets sparked as each drove home eating their way through him. Finally a bullet hit the glowing orb that was the beasts vital spot. In a violent eruption of magical energy the creatures top half exploded outwards leaving a smoking hull. Alexander dropped the mag out of his rifle and replaced it with his last one.

Turning the lizard was in trouble, but slowly tried to counter the electrical man. Alexander watched the exchange come to a standstill and grinned. Both fighter were completely oblivious to his presence caught up in their own duel. "Sorry but the gecko is mine" Alexander said as he crouched and took aim. Exhaling slowly Alexander squeezed the trigger slowly focusing on aiming at the beasts head. Lining up the perfect shot he fired a single round at its temple. This shot was precise with no errors and flew exactly where he wanted it. Should the lizard not dodge the bullet would traverse its way through one temple through his brain and explode out the other side.

Max nodded slowly, taking the moment that his opponent had offered to get feeling back in his body. Hearing a noise of to his side turned his attention to the other fighter he knew was still fighting, noticing him taking aim he hit Lith against the ground, forcing a piece of wood up under him, throwing off the shot just enough for it to miss. A shadow stretched out along the ground and formed as a hand ,grabbed and quickly pulled Digan back to him "Stop that annoyance from interrupting and we'll continue."

He placed Geth at his feet, the oily poison coating it quickly corrupting the leaves and grass around it, creating a dead spot where the ground was now toxic as it soaked into the dirt. He calmly slid Shina into his bag, not needing it for what he was planning, at the same time he dropped Digan into one of his hand like feet, holding it tight. Holding his armored arm out in front of him he pointed Lith directly at the electric man's heart, every section rotating at full speed to counter the weight of the weapon. A black circle formed around him as he poured large amounts of energy into the lance, causing a blue glow to emit from the tiny gaps between petals from the lances tip to his shoulder. behind this he was gathering shadows, the darkness gathering around him and pouring into the circle around his feet making the lance look even brighter.

The circle faded away, giving the appearance of him having purged the shadows out of himself, but anyone who could sense the shadows would be aware of the mass-less growth still collecting unseen inside the ground. Crouching ready he waited for the right moment, hoping his opponent would play along.
