oh this night was bountiful.

@Maki:
Wavelength in relation to sound affects its pitch. a deep sound has a long wavelength, meaning it travels further than one with a short wavelength. It also passes through more things, which is why the bass is better heard at a long distance than the higher tones. Bah. explaining it is bothersome.

I feel like I should make my character a short to mid-ranged character in order for it to be really viable here. :'( Bye bye blind fantasy archer.

Also Ellri, you mentioned how controlling a sound source is OP, while controlling wavelengths is not. Can you explain the difference? Sorry, I'm a dimwitted person and I understand things differently, so I ask for your patience.

It was not controlling sound source that was OP. It was controlling what you hear that is OP. You can naturally focus on a certain set of sounds, but that happens between ears and consciousness (i.e. in brain). The ears still take in the other sounds. Only by covering them up with something can you prevent them from taking in sound. As such, noises of high volume close by will be dangerous to anyone, especially someone who relies upon hearing to "see".

You can't exactly focus on whispers at the other side of the room if someone is banging on a gong right beside you. Just as most can't focus well if someone keeps screaming in their ears.

if noises go above a certain intensity, it will be harmful to anyone nearby. Thankfully, that intensity isn't easy to reach. Especially not in medieval times.

Longish Alessia post is up. She isn't really that related to the attack on the inner city, so I didn't really need to wait on sparks defence post. Thats no reason to slow down on it though....

Sure, I might take the three of Cassiopiea and tie them in from the Dynasty, once I've regained my energy I will likely do some more work on the Dynasty. As it seems players are headed there anyway.

The lore should be collaborative, all of the pictures have to be interconnected. (It would be strange to assume they're not)

Presumably, yes. I don't know anyone else capable of making triumvirates of statues spread across the continent for some mysterious reason.

We're also working on tying lore knots. Now things are approaching the point where relics actually might have things in common rather than being utterly unique.

Thora's relic is similar to that of Kheris. Not identical (we think), but similar. We also have a few concepts for other relics that share traits. If common threads are not made in lore soon, then it will become increasingly difficult to make ones that make sense easily.

I have six Haran NPC evokers waiting to be used, and Sitara's power hasn't been exposed yet, and I still have Othean NPC evokers that have yet to be used.

Edit: And what do you mean by "make ones that make sense"?
