not really, no. Mods can hide posts, but not delete them. Its not really worth it, though, as the page count thingamajig still knows they exist, so it messes up when the thread goes to a new page. But don't worry about it. It'll fade quickly into the background here.

Wonderful. As far as where my character is from, I never gave it a whole pile of thought. I just latched onto the "Prying agents of the church" and thought that these prying agents needed some misguided sword-arms to do their bidding. I thought "The Church" seemed to be an umbrella term for the "holy" organisation seeking to control the relics in the name of their God(s) and my character would simply go along with whatever he was told until he found a reason not to or he was killed.

If the concept is good, I'm more than happy to hail from wherever would work best for my character to get involved in the story without being too entrenched on either side of the politics.

There are three basic views of the relics:
The Kalesians try to control relics and their wielders. If they can't be controlled, they're either used for breeding if possible or executed and their relic confiscated.
The people of the Fifth Dynasty set themselves up as false gods. Either an evoker joins in on that as a subordinate, or they are executed. What the Dynasty does with the relic afterwards is unclear.
The church and knights of Idris consider Relics and Evokers to be evil. They generally feel that the only good evoker is a dead evoker. Classic absolutist blind faith church, really.

The people elsewhere (at least in the environs of Othea are essentially forced to choose between these three options or to try to forge their own way, which can be hard considering three powerful factions make a mess of spiny weeds to wade through.

Right. We forgot that.

What you can essentially extract out of this all: If you're an evoker, you will find that there's much of any safe place for you to be yourself in the central/eastern/northern sections of Azukhar unless you associate with one of the major factions, and maybe not even then. If the major factions don't get you, the peasants will.

I've been working on that with Sparks (or at least I gave some suggestions lol) As far as I know he's still working on it.

A short summary so far is that the Knights of Idris believe that the gods created men equal and that the conceited first creators of relics in the Old Kingdom attempted to become gods themselves. The true gods, angered by this blasphemy, wiped out the Kingdom, but perished after fighting amongst themselves. The Order has been given the mission by the Eldest, the first and last god, to destroy all relics and their users, to create equality once more and to bring peace to Azukhar. Their goal is rather noble, though they use rather un-noble means to achieve it.

ok, two quick questions for that lore, Alida...

One, is this hard-coded and proven, or is it what the Knights of Idris believe?
Two, do you have suggestions for how we all can use this lore and other lore to make this RP less deadly serious?

1. These are just the myths the Knights believe in, though they could have a core of truth. There was no doubt something terrible that wiped out the Old Kingdom, so who knows if it were the true gods.

2. I'm sorry, I love details and seriousness so I'm not sure x'D Do you have any suggestions yourself?

Well if that is what Idris is about it is obvious they probably don't like the Fifth Dynasty of Kheris... it is also rumoured how old they are maybe they are even OLDER than that :P

Could be a nice tie in.

we tend to rather be serious ourselves, but we know Sparks likes having things slightly less serious.

We think it is nice when disparate lore is tied together.

In Da-Hyuni lore, there is something mentioned like 'A great terror', which is why they fled to the western Isles where they still live today. I was thinking that that 'great terror' thing could be the same that wiped out the old Kingdom, but I'd rather not specify it since I don't think Sparks is intending to let us know why the Kingdom disappeared exactly xD

I think the Dynasty is rather high on their list of Evoker-We-Want-To-Kill rofl xD But yeah, they'll first need the support of more than only Oragos, the Adrany Protectorate and Da-Hyun before attacking a nation as powerful as the Dynasty.

We can still make the mood light, for example Tyrell and Myth are a bit of a comedy relief.

Fair enough, Marcus is kind of the clumsy sidekick, Twinkles is the Drama queen... I think our whole fellowship will be a comic relief xD
