Anrah's head snapped around at the sound of a scream. It sounded so pained that it made her think of...of before she got the blood. Her eyes flicked between the hallway and Viorica's bloody dress in her room. Surely the others heard the scream so would it be so weird of she left the room to go towards it? Her eyes flickered to Evelyn and back down the hall. She shouldn't bother the elders with her questions and Angel still seemed shocked at thw sight in Viorica's room.

Without a second thought, she dashed down the hall. In the opposite direction of the scream. She skidded to a halt in front of the library doors and entered swiftly.

"William, I need you to come check something out with me!" She called, not loudly to be a yell but not quiet enough to be unheard. She stumbled through the shelves of the library, looking at the desks that seemed to be at the end of several of the rows of shelves. She came across the other fledgling in a far back part of the library, laying across a table and reading.

"Will," she called again, now that she was able to see him. "Did you hear that scream? I'm gonna go check it out and I want someone with me just in case. Everyone else is wrapped up in Viorica's room." She walked forward and leaned on the table to lean over his face. "You like adventure?" She asked, motioning to the humorous sci-fi adventure book in his hand. "Let's go fund our own." She begged. She hated staying in the same place for a long time doing nothing, and the scream has her curiosity peeked. "What if there's another new vamp around?"

Mithias turned from the window and faced the others. He was looking downward, clearly searching his mind for answers. "That enemy of hers perhaps, Mitchell. Although I can't be certain." It was rather irrational that an enemy of Viorica's would dump several fledglings at her door only to kidnap or attack her in her own castle. It was, unless perhaps in being their sire, he could see through their eyes. That would give a powrful vampire a lot of information.

Mithias walked over to the dress on the floor. "That would be the least of her worries, Angel." Mithias said, surprising the fledgling that he would talk to her. His bright, golden-yellow eyes leveling with hers as he bent down, looking directly at her. Something about his gaze targted her, making her feel guilty... suspicious. Mithias dropped his gaze as his white, clawed hand picked up the dress, tumbling a paper note form their folds. "And yes we must help her, Evelyn." The note did not escape his notice. "And what is this? ... Castle Bran." He looked at the others for more information.

Just then a scream or moan of agony echoed through the halls. Mithias' hearing zoomed in on it, picking out the exact room it was coming from, the tone of a child's voice. "Damn it to hell." He said flatly.

William made a vague gesture, as if waving her off, mumbled something along the lines of "Fine, but you owe me," but then quickly rolling to his feet, slipping past the younger fledgeling, and kind of half-jogging away, calling in a relatively low voice, "Come on! I thought you wanted to fund the adventure, not be dragged along!" He moved through the shelves as if they were home; indeed, it certainly felt like it. Quickly and automatically, he wound his way through the shelves, in a half-efficient way to get out, and half because he enjoyed just the way it felt to move between the shelves. His new eyesight picked out book titles with ease, as he wound through fiction, nonfiction, and back again. Either way, he knew where he was going, and appeared at the door to the library in no time.

He turned, and waited for Anrah, trying to put everything out of his mind except what new things await. He was already a little sore on the vampire fledgeling thing- he was the [i]only guy.[/u] Were vampires sexist or something? He didn't know, and he pushed it out of mind as he waited the short time it would take for the other girl to escape the shelves- he was sure he lost her somewhere in there, half the reason to take a quick, confusing route.

Anrah grinned as the other fledgling took off, leaving her behind. He had already disappeared around a shelf by the time she started running, leaving her to map out her own route through the maze of bookshelves. She wasn't ashamed to admit that she had to backtrack a few times and find a new way out. Once she got out, the first thing she did was give him a light punch on the arm.

"You ditched me, you jerk." She laughed, pushing out the library doors and heading down the hall in the direction she had heard the scream. She walked side by side with Will and in no time they were down a flight of stairs and in a darker part of the castle. "...This feels like a dungeon." Anrah stated blankly as she shoved her hands in the pockets of her dark yellow skirt. Her steps became more laid-back as they came close to the source of the noise. They came across a heavy door, of which Anrah gave a hard pull, and slowly dragged it to the wall. She stared down the dark stone hallway and could make out a flash of blonde. She looked at Will before calling down the hall.

"Hello?" she called, and then as an afterthought. "You're hungry, aren't you?"

Vivienne paused for a moment, still clutching the stone wall and her stomach as she heard people approaching her, and they were coming quickly. She needed to conserve her energy and all of her instincts were telling her to attack, she felt rage build up inside of her. When a female voice called out to her something peaked her interest, she wasn't just hungry, she was starving, still her rage overwhelmed her, "Who are you? Why did you bring me here? What did you do to me" Her voice was raw and full of rage as she stepped forwards carefully, heading towards the voice, her body on edge and ready to attack.

Finally she could see them, the man and the woman, they looked around her age, she didn't know if they could see her as she hauled herself out of the darkness, her ruffled wavy long golden brown or golden blonde, depending on how the light hit it hair, her electric blue eyes staring at the pair, taking in every feature and movement. She stayed quiet, waiting for them to respond but paused once more, the hunger eating her from the inside out she collapsed to her knees again, letting out another ear piercing, glass shattering scream, AHHHHHHHHH She let out harsh breaths as she kneeled on the floor, one hand clutching her stomach, the other clutching the ground in front of her, "What did you guys do to me? It came out quietly, almost desperate, frightened, as she paused there for a moment, trying to find the strength to keep going.

William sighed, and looked at Anrah, as if to say, Well look, here's another one. We're in the presence of monsters! He stepped forward, into the cell slash dungeon, and said, "We didn't do anything. We're like you- others did this to us. We're vampires, and so are you, and we're stuck this way until we die, which may come very soon if you don't get any blood. If you would allow me, I can get you to exactly what you want, or we can leave you here and starve to death. Yes, we're vampires, we're fledgelings. I'm William, Willy, Wilson, anything Will, including Will, and this is Kaley or Anrah, depending if she wants to trust you or not, and I'm here to help you out. Although the last person I tried to help ignored me, so try not to do that, I don't want a failstreak." As he spoke, he slowly walked over to her, and figuring that she probably couldn't walk on her own, reached down and draped her arm around her shoulders, and gestured to Anrah, asking, "You wanna help me out?" He reached around the fallen fledgling and lifted her up, muttering barely loud enough to be heard, "Let's get your strength back."

Anrah rolled her eyes as Will added her false name into he introduction. She could see the girl a lot more clearly now; Blonde hair and bright blue eyes, a strong frame seen even past her hunched over posture. She walked forward and took the other girl's shoulder around her own. With a whisper of "c'mon", her and Will were bringing the girl down, or rather up, to the dining room. She left the girl hanging on Will so that she could go open the door. Walking in, she grabbed a cup of blood and set it in front of the girl's seat. Then she circled the table and sat across from her.

"So, what's your name?"

The young blonde wanted to fight, she wanted to kick and scream and take out her temper and her anger out on the two, but they were helping her, and she didn't have the energy to fight, she barely had the energy to stand. So she clutched onto Will and Anrah and let them help her into what looked like a dining room. The way there and as she sat on the uncomfortable chair her eyes flickering between the pair she tried to wrap her mind around what they told her. She was a vampire, immortal to a certain extent, but what did that mean? She didn't know why, but a part of her, a small part, was happy about this. She was completely and utterly unsure of who she was or really anything about herself, but she was content with what she had been turned into, even though a part of her was still pissed about it and whoever had done it to her, she was still happy.

Her gums ached for a moment as her fangs extended her eyes locking on the cup of blood she grabbed it quickly, inhumanely fast and took large gulps until the cup was empty and she had set it down on its side on the table. She was still starving, but she felt better, she felt stronger, and a bit less cranky. Still for a brief moment she stayed quiet, looking at both Will and Anrah as she slid her tongue over her fangs softly, "I..I don't know my name. I think. I think its Vivi..Vivi Anne..No no its Vivienne." Her head hurt for a brief moment as she tried to wrack her brain for any more information, she knew her name and at that point that was all. She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before looking up at the pair again, Thank you..for helping me. If you don't mind, where are we? And is there anyone else here or are we just here to fend for ourselves?" It came out fast and curious as she drew her legs into a criss cross and made herself comfortable on the uncomfortable chair.

William followed Anrah in at a slower pace, gently setting the lady down as best as he could. Leaving her side to fetch both a new bowl of blood and a cup for himself, he filled his cup and then drained it, before filling Vivienne's introduction best as he could through the resulting fogginess of blood. He set his cup down, wiping blood from his mouth, and then eyed his bloodied sleeve with a sudden and startling amount of disgust and disdain, before pushing it away. "There are others here, and I suspect they'll teach us our vampiric abilities, but they won't baby us. They'll give us what we need for a while, I think, before they'll let us fetch it ourselves..." He shuddered at the thought, though he wouldn't refuse an accusation of him already thinking of hunting.

"Anyways, if neither of you need me, I think I might retreat to the library... I'm the only GUY fledgeling, so it's weird for me. I suspect that I was some half-geeky bookworm before I lost all my memory. I was clutching this book throughout the entire ordeal, see," he said, lifting his book and gesturing at it vaguely, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

"I think the improbability drive would even have trouble coming up with this one..." he mumbled softly under his breath.

"Oh, boo hoo, being surround by women must be such a drag!" She called after Will as the dining room door closed. There was a playful smile on her face as she turned to Vivienne. "I know I don't have my memory, but don't guys usually like that?" She laughed, taking another sip from her cup. She was feeling much more playful and laid back the more she drank, her stiff demeanor had all but disappeared two cups ago.

"As Will said, there are others." She smiled, though it probably wasn't too comforting with the bloodstained fangs poking out. "You're the fourth fledgling; the other is a girl named Angel. As for the Old vamps, there's Mitch, Mithias," she ticked off on her fingers. "I think there was a guy named Christof but he seems to have disappeared...The females are Evelyn, who likes to be proper so watch yourself around her, one too many traditional sticks up her ass." She rolled her eyes, but sobered upon coming to the last name she could think of. "And this castle is Viorica's... you...won't be seeing her. She sorta went missing in a bad looking way." Her buzz from the blood was gone as she remembered the situation.

"C'mon, we should go see the others." She got up and went around the table, grabbing Vivienne's wrist and puking the girl out of her chair. With her free hand, Anrah balanced two goblets of blood between her fingers, and case anyone felt the need for more. When they got to Viorica's room, she left Vivienne in the doorway and went to inspect the elder vampire's room. With Angel and Mithias inspecting the dress- it seems they found something- Anrah went over the the window where Mitch stood, and stared blankly at the blood trail before something hit her, she didn't want to drink the blood she was seeing. With a sideways glance to Mitch, she asked,

"Does the blood change as it filters through a vampire's body? There no innate response to plunge our fangs intl each other's necks...and this blood smells more appalling than appealing..." She drifted off, staring at the blood that was left by Viorica. And the crime scene wasn't even really her blood, it was a dead person's blood flowing through the cold body of its consumer.

The thought sobered her even more.

CASTLE BRAN

Three days later, the fledglings and elder vampire found themselves at the infamous Dracula castle. What was to be found here, they weren’t sure. Viorica had always said that her own castle was built after Castle Bran “because she loved it so much” but it was more so for her love of dramatics. The castle was swarming with tourists even though it was so late in the evening.

Unbeknownst to them, a tour guide kept glancing at them from the corner of his eye, a knowing smile on his face. On his name tag, in blocky white letters it read DRAKE.
The second time Viorica awoke, Vladimir was alone. Her throat ached with the need for blood; how long had it been? A deep, hollow hunger thumped in her gut and every moment she was awake was in agony. Without saying a word, he shoved a cup of blood into her hand and she snatched it, downing it in one go.

“More.” Viorica croaked, her red locks straggled and greasy. Her skin was covered in dirt and grime and she felt disgusting; her clothes were soaked with sweat and were stiff upon her being. The smell that her sensitive nose picked up was worse. She smelled like shit.

“No.” Vladimir answered her, a taunting grin on his face.

Viorica growled, but she should have known. “Damn you to hell.”

“Oh sweet, we’ll be there together sooner or later, but you must go first.”

“Is this your revenge, Vladimir? To kill me? And what of those fledglings that you have left?”

“There is a plan for them.” Vladimir laughed a chilling laugh and Viorica could feel it resonate in her bones.

Willy Wonkers couldn't believe all this; he vaguely had the sense that he didn't go anywhere in his old life except to the fridge for a snack or a coke. He much less expected to be traveling across the world using... questionable... methods, and find himself on the doorstep of the first of his kind- for he was no longer human. This brought some mixed emotions, of course, since he felt as if he were rather content before, if lonely and desperate for a friend, but now he had several that were more or less his age- and they were all rather... ah, acceptably pretty. To say the least.

Beyond that, no one had really seemed to talk much; each of the fledgelings had seemed more absorbed in trying to decode various impressions from their past, or at least, he assumed so. That's what he had been doing, between stops where he enthusiastically found snacks of all flavors. Much to his chagrin, he had also found a rather large, fleshy snack that had left him quite sated, but feeling horribly conflicted. He eventually solved the dilemma by pointing out to himself that Americans were horribly racist and there were too many humans in the world anyways- and they'll all die anyways, so why not help an immortal being along the way?

That didn't sate his emotions nearly as well as fresh blood did his thirst.

At the very least, he had done it in the middle of the night during a stop, away from everyone else. At least they hadn't all piled on the poor soul like a bunch of zombies hungering for fresh meat...which hit closer to home than Will first realized.

But now they were there, and he, being enthusiastically paranoid, kept glancing everywhere, clearly expected something to happen. He wasn't narrowminded by nature, and books that he couldn't remember taught him many things- and one person seemed to be staring, though he never actually straight-up caught him. Besides the nibbling persistent suspicion that he was being watched, he went on exploring the little stalls hopeful vendors had set up in the hopes of selling. Even though mortal food was no longer required, Will still ate as much chips, chocolate, Dippin' Dots, pastries, and meats that he could get his hands on. He had a particular liking of sourdough bread- going so far as to buying a loaf of it, and just munching on it, occasionally offering to his unwilling vampire fledglings. He was a vampire- and he was pretty sure that the metabolism was really upped to the point of food having little to no effect.

But it kept tasting so good to him. His appetite was endless. The only one to be able to eat the massive burrito and get it free, precisely because it was so big that the owner let people have it for free if it was finished in one sitting.
