Alex moved around the table and sat near the girls. He gave them a smile and said, "I'm sixteen. The youngest. " He looked around, "why would we eat you?" He asked and laughed. "While we wait for lunch, what do you girls like to do?"

" Your supposed to be monsters, the ones who kept taking..." she piped down she shouldn't have drawn attention to herself. What if they were trying to cover it up? " never mind" Ali said going back to her drawing letting her hair cover her face. The drawing was good the figures in it lacking clothing and faces but she wouldn't look up from her book to start that yet.

Xavier cracked open his book and continued to read from were he left off. "I'm also 17 , but I'm a few months younger Griffin." He says not looking up from his book. " If we were monsters then wouldn't we already have eaten or killed you four."

Viviana leaned away a bit as Alex sat nearby, still not ready to trust him. "Are we really the same age?" She mumbled and gave him another look before answering his question. "I like reading...somewhere quiet. And music, maybe." She honestly wasn't sure what else to say.

She actually did flinch when she heard Ali's comment about how the boys were supposed to be monsters. How would they react to that? She watched carefully as the one with the book answered, but he seemed rather calm about it. Maybe even a bit bored?

Maybe you haven't killed us because you're waiting for something? As much as she wanted to mention it, she wasn't prepared to face whatever consequences that may have. Still, what were they waiting for, then?

Griffin said nothing. He knew his beast was capable of eating the girls. They were right to be Leary of them. Of course the girls nervousness only added to his own. He paced the length of the room. He was restless. He needed to run. If he didn't get out of the room he was going to lose control.

Lilly glanced up when they were talking about ages. "Nineteen." She said, her voice soft and singsong. She looked back down, fumbling with her fingers. The one who mentioned he was 22 had nice features, she noticed. The oldest, was she the oldest of the girls? She wasn't really paying attention. Instead, she grabbed her small locket around her neck and held it in her hands, sighing softly as she though of her sister.

"Lunch is served!" Val's cheery voice rang out through the room as some of the servants began bringing out the dishes of food. "I hope that we haven't kept you waiting for too long. We have a choice of beef stew and poached salmon with mixed greens today! Would anyone like anything specific to drink? Or is everyone alright with just water?" The odd man moved around the table to place glasses down at each spot, taking care to avoid bumping into the other servants flitting about.

Lilly glanced up when Val announced lunch was served. Her nose wrinkled in disgust when he mentioned what was being served. "I'm actually a vegetarian.." She said, biting aher lip. Was that the wrong thing to say? Maybe she should have just kept her mouth shut and took the food, only eating the mixed greens, or maybe it wouldn't have mattered too long? But the men did say they weren't going to eat the girls, but what you say and your actions were two completely different things. She looked back down, not wanting to look anyone in the face. She felt like a complete idiot, why couldn't she be outspoken and actually talk like the other three girls?

Ali gulped, Most of the food she had was old stew that was picked of the good things or fruits the younger children brought her. " Im eighteen. " Ali mumbled fiddling with the spoon as she chose the stew. Placing the note book on the table she moved the hair out of her face again, giving everyone a better look at her. It is Rude to have you hair in your face while eating, she always told the children that and she was supposed to be a model for them right. She smiled a half real smile for being given a meal that smelled great. So the oldest is twenty-two and the youngest is sixteen. So the reasonable boys she could take a smile from where both seventeen great.

"Ah, I see. Then this won't work at all!" The butler placed a finger to his chin as he spun around, but soon had a grin back on his face as he turned back to the girl. "Wait just a moment please, madam! I will take care of this immediately! It's no good having a meal that you can't eat, after all, and what kind of hosts would we be if we couldn't take care of our guests?" Quickly, he exited the room, just as cheerfully as he had entered previously.

Alex spoke, "it appears we are the same age," responding to Viv. He then turned to Ali, "Well if you want to be eaten I could take you upstairs and arrange that," he said jokingly. Not long after that Val entered with the food and he heard Lily say she was vegetarian. "Val the veggies and fruit in my garden should be ready," he said before Val left.

”Aw, youngin’s” Mira smirked at the ones who were 16 years old. She glanced to the brother who was 16 and raised an eyebrow as he asked why they would be eaten. ”Um, isn’t that what beasts do? Terrorize, eat people, you know.” she shrugged, seeming to be bored now that there would be no carnage. She picked up her glass and began running a finger over the rim. ”I like to have fun. That’s basically it,” she also answered, glancing to Xavier when he said if they were monsters they would have killed them already. Mira sighed, listening to the boring people tell what boring crap they liked. Eventually her eyes landed on Griffin, who looked awfully nervous. ”That fellow needs a drink,” she announced, pointing at him and smiling, winking at him once just before Val hopped in to announce lunch.

”Stew right here!” she said, waving her glass above her head now and slouching in her chair. She yawned, not getting why anyone would be vegetarian unless they were trying not to be fat. Whatever. She just kept observing.

Griffin rolled his eyes at Lily. His beast hated vegetables. He eat a few to make Val happy but he couldn't imagine eatting only vegetables. But whatever made her happy. It was her body. He finally took a seat. He hoped that some food would help calm his beast. "Salmon."

Vivi rolled her eyes and turned away from Alex, looking over at the other boys for a moment before the butler from before returned to announce lunch. "I'll have salmon, please."
Turning back to the others, she took note of the fact that Lilly was a vegetarian. It probably wasn't all that important at the moment, but it seemed like it would be wise not to forget. Sharing snacks didn't really work with friends if she forgot what they could and couldn't eat. Wait, that's probably not the most relevant thing right now.

After another minute of consideration, the redhead decided to ask the other question on her mind. "If there really are no beasts, then why are we here? I'm kind of confused..."

"Excuse me, Miss Lilly? You don't happen to have an allergy or general dislike of tomatoes, do you?" Val asked quickly when he returned to the room a few minutes later. "We may have a few options, but I don't wish to cause any unfortunate reactions. Although, while I'm here," the butler addressed the rest of the girls, "now would be a very good time to take care of any memos regarding allergies or other such issues so that we may keep them out of any future meals we serve to our guests."

This was all to confusing, she knew why Griffen seemed like he was going to explode she was just as stressed. Getting into he own head she sat there in silence. Lilly looked over towards the man speaking to her. Was it her? He was looking at her? When he asked her about gardens, she smiled a little more. "I actually love gardens, my sister and I would have our own garden and tend to it." She said with a soft smile as she spoke of her sister. "We grew tomatoes, watermelons, carrots, you name it. We even planted an apple tree one time." She said before realizing she was rambling. She bit her lip to quite herself before she made herself look like an even bigger idiot.

Lee chose to stay quite while his brothers took a more active role in there conversations, he would rather them talk than him have to do all of it. "Salmon is nice, I would like some lemons to go with that and maybe drink some water." he said discreetly to the butler. "Although we are monsters, that does not mean we want or choose to be, we kind of just have to deal with it. But that is were you all come in, you will help us lose or shed he more... barbaric side of ourselves, and then we will hopefully become normal humans." he said aloud to the group.
