I used a random number generator and a list of weapons and items (and their rarities) in Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and came up with items for the five chests:
Top left chest: Secret Book
Left vault chest: Mend
Middle vault chest: Bronze Axe
Right vault chest: Purge
Top right chest: Venin Bow
Does that sound reasonable to you, or would you rather decide what is in them?

You'll never get the Secret Book, Mend is a common enough item, Bronze Axe don't exist, none of you are capable of using Light magic, and the Poison Bow is in the opposite side of the map. Sure, I'm fine with that. XD

Oh, my, different people have different impressions of how fast they should be taking this... XD

Oh, and those two fighters now have names thanks to Harbringer, so they'll probably get stat-bonuses due to having names... ... ... XD [/joke]

Edit: @Draconfound Radiant dawn and the other one are the Fire Emblem games I wanna play so bad, but they're so expensive T_T

I got Radiant Dawn at Gamestop, and they've been sending me so many e-mails since then asking me to sell it back to them, since so many people want it.
"No! Never! My precious..."
Ironically, while Gamestop was asking me to sell the game back to them for $40, the store that was directly across from the Gamestop at our mall had a few copies on sale for $20, I could have made a huge profit if I wanted to.

@ruler710 I did intend on Garric being one of the NPCs important enough to be under my control, but I'll accept that for now. I'll be commanding him in the future, however. Mostly, that'd be the case for any NPC that I've seen fit to put a real sheet in the character tab for, but I understand your usage of this scene and such, so no worries. It might have been inconvenient if you wanted to follow... Haha.

Marwood appears to have moved twelve squares and straight past any individuals who may or may not otherwise have been in the way, too. I think I may need to speed up the NPCs too if that's the pace you're setting. All of that is up to the individual, of course. Haha.

@PlatinumSkink "Woops!" Well sorry haha. But good thing it was only a goodbye. Glad I didn't get him to run along and kill everyone in our way, kidding ofcourse. But I'll be careful of that in the future. And if we're actually doing the movements like the games wouldn't it be easier to use a grid or something so we can see it better? Maybe do that for the next map since it might be a pain to do it for this one now.

@PlatinumSkink I think right now it's sort of the rush of escaping, I mean Marwood is trying to inspire people to join them.

Wait, we have to take a detour to recruit Habit and Archibald, right? So we shouldn't just run off and escape immediately?

@Nightmare Bunny Well yes we will recruit them but they we will all be using the same escape route. So naturally we would want to push towards it and then while were all fighting they can catch up and join the cause.

After we've secured the escape route, will we escape immediately or keep fighting as long as we can while in movement range of escape? The second is much riskier, but what I typically do on escape levels in strategy games to maximize XP gain

Alvin would likely press the matter of escape above all else.

I pressumed the whole time we moved on the speed of our classes! Here I was counting fIVe squares. :>.

That Bishop thing was my mistake, changed to priest!

There are grids. the tiles do have regular spaces and lines to indicate that, I've been using them as reference. I have to disagree about them being troublesome, I don't think it's a pain at all to use them alongside our allocated movement personally.

I think There's alot of effort put into making the map and I'm not keen on entirely skipping it's function.

Teh-heh... And almost all of you start with C... Why you all start with C? That'll make battles against anything normal significantly less exciting for a while. XD

In any case.

@ruler710 As the page on the first page informs, you're allowed to force hits on opponents if they're three letters of Weapons Mastery away from you. You have C in Weapons Mastery. So, I guess, you assumed that they had F? I'm afraid that if they had F they wouldn't be on this battlefield to begin with. They most likely have D, which is that which most average soldiers will have. As there is a single letter difference, you'll have the advantage, yes. ... But they'll have an appropriate chance to fight back. As such, when fighting, you're to tell what you're TRYING to do. Yes, even against these NPCs. If you do want to include a whole fight in the post, you'll have to PM exchange with me for a bit.

I didn't actually expect you to leave the room that quickly. I did think that all the people on the outside would be allowed at least one post before you all came thundering out, and past them. Though, yeah, as for those setting up defense, the Fighters were not actually going to attack. They were the ones on the defensive, really, making sure nobody came into the corridor. Of course, that might have been hard to predict, but I'd have ample reason in my own post... but now they're under attack, so that's another matter altogether.

If things turn too chaotic, I may implement that grid-system, yes, but for now we'll be roleplaying things accordingly in the free-form way of the real world, that's how I envisioned things, and deal with things as it comes. And in the future, I will attempt avoiding making maps that forces 10+ characters to move in the same direction. And using tactics is encouraged, things just went off a bit quickly here. This is the first map, but charging like that... Mind if I remind you two sword-users that there are two lance-wielding soldiers diagonally up-left there? XD

Jeez, you people are speedy!

I actually think that the grid system could be quite helpful… It's a bit hard keeping track of the other characters when they're zooming around all over the place.
