Cypher walked to the table in amusement as he watched the older women pour the drink onto the ground before sitting down at the other side of the table. He then looked to the other two girls at the table, "So tell me, what can you guys do? I know that Gid's over here can play with metal, and I have a good idea of what Irisara can do, so I'm curious about you guys." Cypher said nonchalantly as he made a mug of beer before take a sip. He followed Irisaras example and began pouring it on the ground. "Yuck, what the hell is in this crap? it tastes like someone mixed swamp water and alcohol."

Maggie's attention was distracted for a moment to the young boy's companion standing next her, shifting uncomfortably and seemingly trying to make himself invisible. Her eyes didn't linger on his personage long, but his staff.  She frowned at it, not looking up until Irisara had already left the table.

"I don't think I caught your name,"
she smiled at the blond girl who had first approached, before following the others to get herself a glass. Did they all use magic? The thought made her uneasy, and she took a large first swig to ease her concerns.

"Miner's brew,"
she said absently continuing to sip the drink, clearly accustomed to the taste "the pride and shame of Earth kingdom."
"-I'm something of a demolition expert, I suppose."
She added quickly, realizing his question had been directed at her.

Evelyn watched Irisara and Cypher's exchange, shifting around anxiously. At Cypher's claim of being part of the "stronger half" of fighters in the room she quirked an eyebrow inquisitively. 'I wonder what he can do that makes him such a hot shot..' She wondered, leaning a bit closer to study the boy. He looked like an average teenager but appearances could very well be deceiving she told herself. Snapping out of her zoned out examination of Cypher, Evelyn's attention snapped back to Maggie. "Evelyn Cheyne's the name." She answered happily. Taking a cue with Gideon's words, she gave a cheery nod, "I'm with him!" Evelyn grinned before following after Irisara.

Before she herself could get a drink, Irisara and Cypher had already tried it and obviously weren't fans. Laughter bubbled up from Evelyn at the sight of their disgust at the drink. "Can't be too bad.." She muttered in between some giggles as she went for a cup of her own. A small sip from the mug and Evelyn's face scrunched up into one of disgust while she tried to swallow back the taste of it. She was actually an avid drinker but that was back in the Water Kingdom, and this was different entirely. "Actually, never mind...heh." She slowly slid the mug back on to the table eyeing it up like it was poisonous, "Not my kind of drink and I don't see much of anything else around here..sighhhh.."

"Well at least somebody can stand it." Evelyn joked as she tried to wrap her head around how Maggie could even bear a single sip of it. "Demolition expert...hm. So like...explosions and stuff?" She questioned, again leaning forward to study Maggie now.

"Sailor at heart and Mage in spirit! I focus on water magic since I've always been surrounded by water." Evelyn swung her spear on top of her shoulders as she spoke, tilting it from one side to the other.

Cypher looked at the two warriors in thought, "Hmmm interesting, you don't see alot of people who use ACTUAL explosives, and since you are in the coalition you're probably pretty good with them to." he said as he instinctively taking another sip of his drink before spitting it out back into the cup. "Okay seriously!!! I'm gonna complain to Gregorias or someone tomorrow because they seriously need to change this with something else." he said as he thought for a bit. "Ya'know .. we technically don't get our missions till dawn, and Gregorias didn't say we couldn't leave the encampment." he said with a mischievous smile. "Theres a town that I stopped at nearby on my way here, not allied with any of the kingdoms and a pub near the entrance." he said with high hopes that they would all agree

The entrance to the tent was flung aside and a man with a cigarette and a hat came strolling in. "The fun has arrived!" He sang to no one in particular. "Miles!" Called a man by himself at a table. "You are late!." Miles grinned as he casually meandered over, grabbing someone's keg of beer while he wasn't looking with one hand, and pickpocketing the man's wallet. In it's place he left a small nugget of what might be gold. As he came within speaking distance, Miles said, "I, am never late, I always arrive exactly when I mean to." The other man sighed. "Still have those sticky fingers and 'trading' habits I see. Anyways, you missed the official briefing." He said. "That's good," Miles grinned. "I don't wear briefs." He sighed. "Sit down and shut up. Oh, and don't drink the beer. It tastes like pissed-in sea water." Miles froze with the keg on his lips about to take a sip. "I...see." He said as he slowly brought it away from his mouth and emptied it on the ground. "So, what did I miss, Kelsier?" Miles asked. "Not much, we will be assigned missions to fight certain monsters. For harder missions more people will be required to go." Miles shrugged. "You and I could take out any slavering baddie on our own. We don't need any rookies slowing us down." Kelsier nodded. "I agree completely. I'm thinking about see if they will make an exception for us." Miles suddenly broke out in a full grin. "Just like old times eh?" "Ugh, I hope not, if your aim hasn't improved much." Kelsier replied. "Hey, I only grazed you once." Miles declared. "Bah, you forgot, you shot my foot AND yourself that one time." Miles winced. "Well, that was an accident, besides we were tied up that time no monster is going to try tying us up, it'll just eat us on sight." From there, the conversation developed into an argument whether some monsters would tie you up, eat you outright or squash you into jelly before frying you and eating you.

Lucas was already well into his third mug of whatever was in the keg before he'd realized what he was doing. He didn't need to drink to fit in with a group of lowlifes in a shady bar but habit had taken over. Finishing the drink, he overturned the mug and slapped it down onto the table. Less than willing to cut into the group of conversing women, he turned to the only person that he had spoken to.

"So Gideon, how do you fight? The only other Ferromancer that I've had the fortune to meet preferred to throw cannonballs around." It was more like misfortune as the other party had been sabotaging a factory and the resulting fight had caused an excessive amount of damage. "How about we go outside and throw some punches?"

"I'd say that running out of camp would be a bad idea. You know, if you want to consider not doing it."

Gideon began to wonder if he'd made the wrong decision with who to approach, given that Cypher had already confronted one of the people he didn't want to meet. He'd been making a point to avoid the military types, and even a support unit like Margret could have heard of his... exploits. He made a note to watch her closely, directing the foci on the top of his staff to examine the smaller woman with a disgustingly organic movement. The amber orb rotated around the top of the iron stave, and glared down at Maggie as the magic circle inside twisted and focused. He picked up one of the mugs as Lucas asked him a question.

"Oh, ah, I do much the same thing, really." His body language didn't change from jumpy nervousness as he took a swing from the horrible beer. He had bigger things to worry about, like how dangerous the man before him was. "Mister Trent, let's not do that and just say that you won."

Elijah watched as the various warriors began pairing themselves in groups. Why they would add such a trite and superfluous requirement was unknown to him. Why make things more complicated? Elijah always found hunting better alone rather in a group- Less noise, less scent, less variables, which meant a lesser chance of being detected. But he wasn't going to question the reasoning publicly. That was not his place.

He watched as some warriors close to him began to converse. Then of course, there was that one really loud person who decided the whole damn room needed to hear what the hell his name is... in front of the females of course. It was like hearing a dying animal attempt to make a mating call. Elijah had seen these types before. Said male would probably charge headlong into the fight, and get a "heroic death." And then there was one of those "serious" types. "I'm only interested in the serious work." Yeah, he was pretty sure agreeing to join this unlikely alliance of heroes to fight man eating beasts was already serious work.

Gee, then this woman has the gall to say "I usually fight with men who can hold a sword." Goddamn, she must fight every freaking male in the entire world then. And of course, there was the cheery happy go lucky female who would probably faint at the first sight of blood.

Elijah wondered if he should speak up or something, after all, groups were pretty mandatory. But getting along with these people was another thing. He went for it anyway.

"Leaving the encampment... is probably an idiotic idea. You would be assigned a pretty crappy job no one else wants if you are not back here in time. And if you are complaining about this drink, I certainly would say you need to...how do they say...Man up?"
