It was a total gamble. The package Yoshito and the rest of his classmates were given did no include anything about who you were being paired with in your dorms. The only thing he knew was that they were co-ed. He could either end up bunking in the same quarters as a fellow male or a female from his classroom. Yoshito was still a tad too young to develop these feelings, and he supposed he had never been interested in them in the first place. This same thought that had passed his mind caused him to cringe slightly on the inside as he lifted the satchel off the back of his seat in the class and watch the rest of the pupils exit. As boring as it was, Yoshito managed to keep himself mildly entertained as it was a chance to analyze everyone else's abilities, and take mental notes of their personalities. Though, it was the battle ground where true colors would really start to show. This caused him to laugh. It was audible, yet quiet; under his breath. Before departing into the hallway, Yoshito turned to the headmaster with a simple look and short common bow.

"Farewell, sensei." and he didn't seem so bored this time. With that, he proceeded out of class towards his dorm. Yoshito never like to rush things, that had never been on his agenda unless it was absolutely needed. Not to get him confused with a slug of the bunch, he was very fast, and still had a childish energy pulsing through his small body, but sometimes life moved by too quickly. You didn't want to miss it. Slowly Yoshito continued to pace along the hallway, casually taking a deep breath to absorb the smell in the area. His old sensei informed him this was a good habit to get into. The hall seemed empty at this point. It reminded Yoshito of those old roads in his little village at dawn. Nobody had roamed them as much as he did during those times. Walking amongst the dust gave you a feeling of control over the entire streets. It was very peaceful, much more quiet. He had hoped to get some time like that later today, but as of now, he was approaching his dorm room. This should be it.. he thought, looking at a slip of paper removed from his package and up to the top of his door. The moment of truth.

"Haha." taking it so seriously made Yoshito chuckle lightly. With this, the young one had placed his hand to the knob of the door and entered what would be his living space for the next little while. In a calm manner, he stepped through into the dorm and shut the door behind him politely to find his roommate on his knees in a meditative state. He felt as if most people would be perplexed by this, but Yoshito was indifferent. The boy was older than he was, this was obvious. A clear dark energy radiated off his body. It would be no other than the same student that felt privileged enough to think he could put both the students and headmaster in place. This made Yoshito wonder what his true intentions were, or what was even at his disposal. Nonetheless, he was sharing a room with this one, kind of a drag but that's how it was.

"My name is Yoshito Nambu.." he spoke in a calm yet somewhat lazy tone. A pause occurred just as he unloaded the rest of his things onto the bed. "..guess you're my new roommate, huh?" not even a handshake was offered.

Let's see, making a cheerful entrance? Check. Roommates freaking out? Check, but he was actually not expecting that one. Everyone laughing about it afterwards? Uncheck. Anything going the way he thought they would after making his entrance...Unchecked, crossed out, unfriended, disliked, unsubscribed, and whatever else that can emphasize how that part didn't happen with a vengeance.

Hikaru was expecting them to be a little surprised, but when he felt the air shift from something small and sharp flying towards him, he could tell that his entrance had the intended effect times five. He barely managed to get out of the object's way, saving strands of his hair, and making him question if the one who threw it was either a bad aim, or just giving him a warning. The hard thud of the object embedding itself into the wall behind him didn't help him with that thought.

First thoughts on his roommates: they're the darker ones that won't hesitate to beat the crap out of him if he pisses them off. Second thoughts: They view him as an insect, and wanted to remind him of his place. Mind you, both of these thoughts were BEFORE he even tuened his full attention as to who they were, but the fact that something sharp whizzed past his head before he was even done saying hello, kind of makes a poor first impression.

An awkward moment of silence passed, before Hikaru realized that one of his roommates was actually surprised...well, as surprised as one can look, glaring at the ceiling. That hard expression on her face did soften, but the feeling of being looked down upon by an angry goddess did not. Maybe it was just Hikaru's view of her, but for some reason, he was just REALLY afraid of her.

"This is a bit awkward, rooming with someone of the opposite gender and someone I haven't even met up until now. But, I'd rather try to make the best of it, so we all might as well introduce ourselves. I'm Hamano Kaori, formerly of a temple, if the clothes didn't give me away. I can't say I'm looking forward to sharing a room, but I can say that I'm willing to work with it and try to get used to the idea and get to know you both better."

Aaaand of course. She's one of the more intelligent and serious students here. Hikaru should've seen that coming. Figures he'd get paired up with some of the better students. He guessed fate really wanted to rub it in that there were others with much better reasons to be there.

Before Hikaru got a chance to think about the fact that people of the opposite gender not normally sharing a room, his other roommate spoke. Yes, the girl who immediately threw a knife at him spoke up in a respectful way...to Kaori.

"Nice to meet you Kaori-chan. I hope you don't mind the informalities, but that would make us get used to each other a little quicker. Victorica Winterfield, both your roommate and classmate. I don't think I'll be much of a bother to you during our time together, as for this guy. I don't think he'll be much of a bother either."

That didn't sound good. It didn't help when she turned and smiled at him in a way that made him feel like she'd do horrible things to him if he angered her.

"I hope we get along with each other."

"I...you...Wait a sec!

Hikaru was speechless at first, fearing that the next few words would spell the end for him. In an effort to hide that fear, he focused on the knife, getting a little irritated. He wasn't going to let what happened before just go unnoticed. She threw a knife at him! Who does that!? Why? Did he really seem THAT dangerous?!

...Despite trying to speak out about it in an angry fashion, he just couldn't do it. He didn't want to tick off his roommates within the first few minutes of actually meeting them. So, he just gave up on the idea.

"Nevermind..."

Hikaru took another moment to cough, and adjust himself for another attempt at an introduction.

"Anyway...Yoshino Hikaru, at your service! Please don't kill me in my sleep!"

By the time Hikaru realized what he said, it was too late. One of his inner thoughts were made known to the girls.

Of course not. This would be a pain. Hanzõ sighs and opens his eyes, looking directly at his new roommate. it had to be the youngest, laziest, most irritating student he knew so far. Yoshito Nambu, he engraved that name into his mind before closing his eyes again. he did not mind him not approaching him in anyway, if anything he would have done something far from polite if he did."Okihika Hanzõ, though, I am sure you knew at least that much already." He replied dryly, living here just became even duller than before. But wait, what's this? Someone was stepping lightly outside, someone that surely was not present before. There was a different echo in their steps, different beat i ntheir heart. it was a female, and there was an odd sound in her heart.

Hanzõ's eyes open up and he stands up slowly. Go, go outside. Something, someone, whispered into his mind. He heads for the door, disregarding his roommate completely. Something was up right outside. He walks to the door and opens it, stepping outside and sliding the door shut and stands before it. His eyes lock at the woman and he feels odd sense of nostalgia upon seeing her, although he's quite sure that this woman is a stranger to him. Suddenly something stings at the back of his head and he blinks once before letting out a single cough.

"Lady..Kazumi." he then speaks out slowly. He knew her name for some reason, and for another reason he suddenly knew many other things. Such as, how the school looked way back, some of the students and the teachers. It made his head ache and his vision blur just for a moment and drew a grunt out of him."Well, this is..interesting." He mumbled and flashed a grin, his eyes close and his breathe steadies."I am Okihika Hanzõ, although I am sure that you knew, afterall, there would be no other reason for you to drag yourself to this place, but me."

Hitomi heard the headmaster enter the living room and felt the breeze he left behind as he quickly left, telling her to stay put. Instinctively, she leaned over and seemed to watch as he left the dorm room. The fact that the headmaster was leaving in a hurry didn't so much concern Hitomi, after all, he could've been pulled away on headmaster business. No, that wasn't what concerned her... it was the sound of two wooden sheaths clacking together that got her attention. Why would he need to bring his swords with him? She furrowed her brow for a few moments, wondering if it was Sin'chi, or the Headmaster who gave her the command to remain where she was. If it had been the Headmaster, she would have no choice but to obey without question.

She stood up from the couch and made her way to her room, where she kept her own sword. Silently, she picked it up and slid the sheath through a loop in her belt.

If it was Sin'chi who gave the command, she would have to follow, as he was her roommate. After securing her blade, she stepped out of her room and toward the door.

The safety of her roommates was first and foremost in her mind. She let out a little smile as she felt for Sin'chi's energy. He hadn't gotten far, and with such a powerful aura, he'd be easy to follow. But before leaving, she called out to Amy, "I feel that we should follow him; he could need our help."

Suddenly, the headmaster seemed very serious, and he seemed to be confirming his blades were there. After a moment, he was charging out the door, stopping only to tell them to wait here. Now, under most circumstances, she would have obeyed that command without hesitation. Anything to make this guy so serious, well, it couldn't be good for them or their health. Sadly, of course, this man was her room-mate, which meant she had to help him, protect him and take care of him. That was her duty, and so with a nod of self-affirmation, she darted int her room and tied a green bandana around her head, the bandana of her mentor's mentor, a woman known to her only as The Boss. It was said this bandana brought great luck to whosoever wore it, so anytime she felt she would be in for a real fight or an important event, she'd wear it for that extra boost of luck. Not that she actually believed it did anything, it was just a piece of dyed cloth after all, but it at least made her feel better, feeling like her mentor's mentor watched over her.

It response to Hitomi, Amy nodded but quickly realized the futility of such an action, saying "Yeah, let's go help him out. It's my calling to protect you guys, everyone I'm close to. Let's go!" With that enthusiastic declaration, she drew her knives and opened the door to slink out. It was easy enough to track him based on his power level alone, while keeping her own firmly in check. She'd stealthily make her way along, taking point since Hitomi was blind. To help keep them in sync, she sheathed a knife and used that hand to hold one of Hitomi's own, so that the two could stop on a dime, with Amy whispering "If I squeeze your hand, it means stop, if I tug it it means go. We want to stay quiet for this, so we can't afford to communicate verbally anymore." That done, Amy would stealthily sneak along behind, trying to keep Sin'chi within her sights without entering his own. She'd grown up amongst soldiers, so learning to move without being heard was thankfully part of the upbringing, and something she was pretty good at since she was so light.

The boy was surely not what she expected. He was skinnier than Akihiko and ignorant. Lady Kazumi simply looked the boy in his eyes as he spoke. She could detect the sheer confusion within him, acknowledging that the boy did not know of the power that dwells inside of him. Did he know that Akihiko called out to his soul from the dark portal he was trapped in? Did he know that he was next in line to take his place? Then she remembered Akihiko’s final words before he disappeared along with Junichi.

“I will return to this world once again when my dark energy sense someone who is worthy of my spiritual essence. One day…the resurrection will begin with the Nisshoku is imminent. My love will not wait long” Akihiko said while stroking her cheek.

Lady Kazumi smiled at the boy hearing of his potential through mysterious contacts. She was notified of his existence and that he was potentially the vessel that Akihiko spoke of. But when she saw Okihika for the first time she could sense his power. Yes…the stories were true. A dark presence resides in his heart that he has not fully awakened yet. He does not know of what power he possesses.

She simply smiled and entered his room without saying anything. The ones who followed her entered as well, keeping Hanzo at bay. One of the guards quickly dashed forward at Yoshito and held his blade at the kid’s throat then paused when Kazumi looked at her guard. The man nodded to her and lowered his sword, turning his back to the wall facing the entire room; the rest of her guards did the same. As she walked around the room she ran her hands gently across the furnishings, getting a good feel of the material used to make them. Afterwards, she stopped and faced him.

“Poor boy, you do not know who you truly are do you?” she said.

Suddenly, her eyes snapped to the right and felt a presence searching for her.

“We are being followed.” Kazumi finished.

Sin’chi was roaming down the halls and paused for second because he detected the energy of two others approaching. He shook his head and knew it was the girls following him. Turning around he did not see them but he could feel them.

“I thought I told you two to stay put. Go warn Kaori, Hikaru and Victorique that there is a dangerous presence here. I want you all to stay hidden, understand? This is the final warning.” Hajime demanded.

He then turned around and continued searching for Lady Kazumi. It was difficult finding her because unlike the others her energy levels were non-existent. Her being is well ancient and she knew things from the days of old that many in this new generation did not. But he had to find her…he just had to!

Initially, Hitomi was offended that Amy grabbed her hand, probably thinking that she'd need help navigating the corridors of the academy. She was not some helpless invalid! However, when Amy revealed her strategy of squeezing and tugging her hand to control their advance, Hitomi simply nodded, her way of acquiescing to and acknowledging Amy's cleverness.

The two found the headmaster with little trouble, but, as it turns out, he had also found them. “I thought I told you two to stay put. Go warn Kaori, Hikaru and Victorique that there is a dangerous presence here. I want you all to stay hidden, understand? This is the final warning.”

Hitomi furrowed her brow, knowing that this was the Headmaster speaking to them. If this 'presence' troubled him enough that he saw the need to warn the other students about it, then Hitomi would obey...although she had this feeling in the back of her mind, that this was a ruse by the headmaster to keep them away from whatever the presence was. Either way, she was in no position to argue. Still holding Amy's hand, she gave it a quick squeeze, indicating to her that they should do as he says.

Kaori visibly winced at the term "chan" being used with her name, but did not say anything on the subject. After listening to Victorica's spiel and the boy's stammering, Kaori sighed and rubbed her forehead. Why did she have to get stuck with these two, of all people? One hadn't even come to class, and the other had done worse than she had at walking on the wall and ceiling. A sigh escaped her as she rubbed a temple, then said, "I can assure you, Hikaru, that I will not kill you in your sleep, and I doubt that Victorica will either." No humor there, apparently. "Still, though, I do not quite like the thought of sharing space with someone of the opposite gender. Just promise that you'll mind yourself, alright?"

Without waiting for a response, Kaori bowed to them both and went out of the room, leaving Victorica and Kaori alone to do whatever it was that they would be doing. In the dorm's kitchen, Kaori began to rattle around, eyebrows furrowed as she began to work. Another deep breath left her as she worked. The others of the class were... somewhat impressive, at least a couple of them were. But were they actually good enough to be here? Was she? Doubts began to go through her mind, causing her to slow down her onion chopping for a few moments. Anyone who went in and saw here would see her eyes unfocused, her attention elsewhere as she continued to cook. The fire below the pot was hot and the water boiling, so she began to pass in the ingredients.

Sure, she was strong. Anyone who could see her without her clothing would know that. But with the performance she'd put on today, they were all convinced that she was one of the weaker ones in the class. But just by her being here, they knew something was up. But that did not mean much, when she thought about it. Many adult fighters would easily outclass her, and she figured that the monks of her former temple could overpower her in just a few moves, even though she'd learned many of the ins and outs of two of the Monkey Styles, and the basics of a third. With a grunt, she threw the last of the ingredients into the pot, and began to stir, the smell now sifting gently into the other room. Her grip on the wooden spoon tightened, causing it to groan underneath her. Even if she pretended to be weak and clueless, she would train harder than the other students. As soon as she was done here, she was heading out into the yard to work, regardless of what the others wanted of her. She glanced towards the door into the living room, listening in for the others, while adding some spices into the mix. But, impressions and all that. She'd leave them with something nice to eat while she was out.

The boy seemed a little startled by the sudden knife flying past his face and looked like he feared Victorique at least a little bit. He was speechless by the two of the girls their personalities and seemed to know his place for now. Which of course was a good thing for two girls rooming with a single boy. However it didn't look like he was enjoying this way of being treated either. Victorique chuckled lightly at his reaction and bowed slightly at him "Glad to meet you."

Victorique turned to Kaori again who was informing the boy about potentially being killed in his sleep in which Victorique simply smiled at him. Kaori didn't seem to like the idea of sharing her room with a boy. Maybe she was insecure or possibly shy but she doubted the girl would be that shy since she was the first one to speak and was speaking in a proper way. Soon after she was done requesting the boy to behave she left out of the room "Speak to you later."

Victorique waited a moment for Kaori to leave the room with her eyes closed and the same smile on her face and opened them as soon as the door behind the girl closed "It's just as Hamano-san had already said. The closer you act like a gentleman the better you get treated. It's not like I dislike you. You just need to know how it is gonna be in this room. For me, I don't have any complains about rooming with you and maybe I can even help you with the exercise sensei had show us." Victorique warmly smiled at him and walked past him to get a medium sized backpack next to the door. She walked over to a small closet next to her bed and started to stuff her clothes in them.

After she was done with her closet ordening she sat down on cushion next to her bed and gently smiled at the boy "Please be quiet during my exercises, if you need anything please ask as softly as you can." Victorique closed her eyes and looked a little more serious now. She began breathing steadily and joined her hands together in front of her belly button with her index fingers and her middle fingers pointed upwards.

Hanzõ sure did not get it. He rubs his chin and lifts abrow while examining the woman and listen to her politely. He could somehow sense that she would be worth his time. That is, until she ceased to make sense to him.

"Who am I?" He speaks and chuckles softly, opening his eyes and looking around the room slowly at each single guard before locking his eyes into her firmly."I know who I am..You clearly do too." He grins broadly and pats his chest once."I am Okihika Hanzõ, the student of Pain. You'll do well to remember that Lady Kazumi, for I am sure that we'll meet again. After all, you can't resist me." He laughs and walks to the door slowly past the guards."But unlike I, who moves like a shadow, you have been unable to walk these halls unnoticed. That is why I will stop the Headmaster while you'll make your way outside, before he'll catch you." He states and steps out, walks across the hallway and leans against the wall, closing his eyes and turning his head towards the end of the hallway.

As he leans back he can feel another sting at the back of his head, it was stronger than the one from before and his head floods with scraps of information and pieces of memories. He could not make anything out of them, they felt like bits and pieces of a dream to tell the truth. A dream, no, a vision would be more accurate. He was to not fight the headmaster here, thus he'd have to figure out another way to keep him from pursuing Lady Kazumi and her guards.

Mikado Daigaku: Episode One
“We have an interesting cast of heroes who has their own reasons for joining the martial arts academy. This was the first day for Sin’chi Hajime, the new headmaster of the school and he was able to meet some of the gifted and…scary students that he will be instructing for the whole year. Everyone in class demonstrated how their energy control; some succeeded and some failed. Afterwards, everyone met their roommates who turn out to be their fellow classmates! Little did they know, the Nisshoku (eclipse) was rapidly approaching that marks the cycle of evil. The last time the Nisshoku appeared was when the ancient lord of the Kurai, Akihiko Hisashi, oppressed everyone in the region with his evil reign of terror…that was generations ago. There was an unexpected guest that has arrived as well. During the time of Akihiko’s reign, Lady Kazumi ruled the lands along with the love of her life and now…after hiding for generations, using forbidden spells to keep her youth and her life intact, she has returned and infiltrated Mikado Daigaku. Sin’chi received word of this but could not find her instead he found Okihika Hanzo, who is one of his students and Akihiko’s protégé but nothing out of the ordinary. Sin’chi is now on high alert and must protect his younger students. Tune in for the next episode of Mikado Daigaku!”

(This will also be in the OP of the OOC.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Day 2 – Tuesday - 12:00 pm]
(As mentioned in the OOC we will skip first class and head straight into the mission. Visit the OP in the OOC to view information about the mission we will embark on.)

Sin’chi waited by a river in the forest which was the meeting point of all the participants who would take part in the mission. He sat there in the wet grass meditating, focusing on what they are about to do. They received word of a village a few miles from their location that has been overrun by bandits; they need to take that village back. Sin’chi decided to make this mission mandatory and exclusive for his students. This marks the day that he will be able to see them in combat. As he sat there, however, something else was troubling him…Lady Kazumi. She was nowhere to be found so he hoped that she left the region by now. Fortunately, Sin’chi knows better. The river in front of him was quiet as it flowed but it was beautiful. In the background beyond the river were tall trees taken over by plant life.

It was sunny but it would appear that he stood under rainy clouds because the sun could not make it through the branches of the trees; but it was such a calm feeling.

The previous afternoon had dealt mostly in pain after she'd left the spiced ramen for her roommates. Punches and kicks were thrown at trees, branches were snapped as she yanked too hard into a pull up, legs gave out when she ran too far too hard. Once, she fell from her perch when she had been hanging upside down doing some crunches. All in all, the day had not gone as well as it could have, but she got her pain's worth out of it. She crawled into her room in the wee hours of the night, at least an hour past midnight, covered in bruises with knuckles scraped and smelling of river water from where she'd washed off.

Which meant that she did not sleep well that night, and hardly at all, managing to toss and turn and crack her tired eyes open every couple of hours. When the dawn came, Kaori was a miserable wreck, and only got up because it wasn't possible for her to sleep in and ignore class. The Headmaster as made a mandatory class trip to clear out some bandits from a nearby village. While a noble cause, Kaori was not particularly eager to stick her neck out for strangers on a normal day, much less one where she was running on four hours of sleep.

Dressed extremely relaxed, Kaori showed up in a white button up shirt who's sleeves barely covered her upper arms, and a pair of white pants. Not the best bandit beating clothes, but her formal clothes for class were for class only, and she refused to sully the monk gi on such a task. And when she showed up, managing to be the first in, her eyes narrowed in great annoyance. Giving a curt greeting to the Headmaster, Kaori found herself a spot, nestled between the roots of a tree, leaned against the trunk, and let herself doze off expression managing to stay in one of irritation even as sleep took her again.

Victorica

After about an hour of meditating Victorique went off on her own again without informing her roommate, to study on some of her other classmates when they were alone but it didn't give her much knowledge. At eight she went back to her room and noticed the food one of her roommates had made. She took a cup off the ramen but noticed it was to spicy for her taste. She still finished eating the cup but with much difficulties. After her food she took a shower, readed a little and soon went to sleep. Victorique didn't sleep in her own bed however, instead she had been sleeping in a carefully placed construction which was hiden in the room. Still, Victorique did not sleep comfortable. Her mind was constantly being awoken by the sleep terrors that occured during her sleep. She would wake with a cold sweat and her heartbeat highly risen. There was no way to help it, she just had to live with it. Victorique did find a good way to surpress it a little. Sleeping for longer periods of time, sleep whenever it is needed the most and don't let your own fears get to your head. She also mentally wrote down that Kaori wasn't sleeping till late in the evening. Victorique only noticed when Victorique awoke again somewhere after the girl had arrived.

The next morning Victorique woke up and immediatly noticed that Kaori had already left. Victorique thought of a good way to pay her back for the dinner by making breakfast but that wasn't possible for now. Victorique still went to make her food and prepared some food for her roomie too. It wasn't anything fancy but it sufficed, just toasted bread and some orange juice. She placed it next to Hikaru his bed and left for class. Class was not that special just like you could possible suspect, normal everyday class. Victorique had stayed in the same spot as yesterday during class and didn't give much of a presence away.

After classes were over, the whole class of sensei sin'chi were suppose to gather for a mission in the forest close by a river. Victorique headed out into the forest traveling over the branches in the trees. The spot wasn't easily missed and indeed, it wasn't hard to find. The only two who had arrived yet were sensei himself and her roomie Kaori. She carefully jumped down the tree and squated next to Kaori. This girl was truely helpless staying undefended like this, sleeping out in the open. She softly poked the girl her cheek to see if she was completly gone from this planet and raised a small smile onto her face. Victorique set up 3 traps around the girl. Whenever they got even got close to the sleeping girl they would get hung up into the tree with one of their legs. She then jumped up into the trees again and sat down comfortably on one of the branches waiting for the others to arrive before they got their orders.

Yoshito had started unpacking his things and looking inside the package he had received prior from class. Just at that moment, a slip of paper escaped his pocket. He stopped, and then looked to the ground to see what he had dropped. It was a picture of Yoshito at the age of ten and the rest of his family. This had been given to him by his father as part of a birthday gift. Since then, he had just carried it around. It's become second nature at this point. It wasn't that it necessarily made him feel warm or any sense of nostalgia, but it made him think. He wondered what they were up to right now. Perhaps the usual. In the middle of picking up this photograph, Yoshito had noticed his new roommate Hanzõ slip out of the room. Strange. Silent as could be, he whisked himself out of the doorway without a word spoken. He was neither worried nor surprised, it's not like he would tell someone when he was leaving either. Something about this one made the atmosphere very eerie. Nonetheless, he got up and turned towards a window sill with a clear glass pane that displayed the outside like the frame of a picture. Although it looked like a scene chopped directly out a perfect art piece, it wasn't quite worth the effort right now. At the moment, all the young one wanted to do was lay down. Yoshito turned around and just as he was about to fall into the bed, a stranger approached from within the room. This stranger was a lady, young, with a pale complexion and heavy makeup, slightly taller than Yoshito, but much older in comparison. Or so it seemed. As he turned with a forlorn expression ready to ask who she was, a violent burst of an armed man came rushing through the doorway next, and before the boy knew it, he had a sword being held against his throat. It was clear a threat was to ensue within Yoshito's dorm room. This was a lot more of an inconvenience than anything else. What a drag this was. What could be worse than this? More guards of course. And then they started to enter. More of them.

Time felt like it was moving slowly, despite Yohsito's heart which was beating at a rapid pace. He dug his heel into the ground convulsively and waited without a word being said. It would be stupid to fight back at this point, given the situation anyway. For the time being he would be obedient, and keep his mouth shut.

Poor boy, you do not know who you truly are do you?” said the new dorm invader. It was hard to tell what emotion this odd ball was feeling. This was a woman Yoshito had never seen before. Just as she said this, there was a silent command given to the same guard before Yoshito. It was there he thought for sure he dead, but to his surprise, the guard lowered his weapon and proceeded back against the wall in a surrounding formation with the rest of her goons. The woman seemed paranoid.

"Okihika Hanzõ, though, I am sure you knew at least that much already." Hanzõ was standing in front of her. The conversing was casual, and Yoshito's heart sunk, but he couldn't help but feel the need to snicker. It's as if he could've seen this one coming.

We are being followed.” the lady stated, and almost instantly Yoshito's vision began to narrow. It was a smog clouding his brain and all he saw was the darkness. The boy had blacked out, and could not recall anything afterwards.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The following day...

Yoshito slept with one eye open that night. His third eye. Not at one point did he wake up that night, but the young one did learn to be aware of his surroundings. If he didn't enjoy sleep this much, he wouldn't have got any of it at all. Hanzõ never did return that night. It was an image he couldn't erase from his head. They were standing together and speaking amongst themselves. It was blatantly obvious she had come searching for him. Why else did Hanzõ feel the need to explain himself?

"I am Okihika Hanzõ, the student of Pain. You'll do well to remember that Lady Kazumi, for I am sure that we'll meet again. After all, you can't resist me." it was all a puzzle waiting to be solved. Yoshito did not know why this happened, nor why Hanzõ was a target, or rather a choice; the best kind that strange lady could have picked. It stuck with him, but did not scare him in the slightest. This would be interesting like a plot unfolding. Telling somebody what he saw would most likely end up in disbelief, besides, Yoshito decided it was not yet the right time to do so. He continued trying to piece this together as he made his way to the river in the nearby forest of the academy. The headmaster notified everyone after class that we would be participating in a mission of sorts. Some kind of field trip he supposed. Yoshito didn't exactly have the ambition to assist the civilians within a bandit infested village, but that's what the mission called for. He had to learn the ropes at some place or another. The boy arrived through a dense shrubbery that opened up into a clearing through the complex branches and twigs above to where the headmaster had everyone rendezvous in a comfortable manner, seeing he was the third one to make an appearance. Not much attention was given to the two other females who also happened to be his classmates. It seemed one was interacting, but the other didn't care as much to bat an eye. In fact, she looked asleep.

"Hello, Headmaster." the greeting was solemn and to the point. Yoshito bowed respectfully to the headmaster before turning to the river in front of him. He looked upon his reflection in the water and scuffed his sandals against the soil beneath his feet. It was nice to think the bandits in the village nearby could be made short work of, but at the moment, he wasn't so sure. Be confident, yet cautious. Yoshito was sure the group would be able to pull it off.

It seems like some of them was able to make it after all. Hajime noticed that Kaori looked…miserable, which made him shake his head a little. He knew this mission was inappropriate for students who just started but a shinobi should not fear those who are not shinobi themselves.

“Kaori” he called out to her but received no answer. She was asleep…typical of Kaori-chan indeed.

How was one supposed to win battles while they were asleep? Then again there is a martial arts style known for its ability to fight when drunk…so perhaps Kaori know a way to fight while sleeping? Victorique came and sort of made fun of Kaori then placed traps around her. Did she mean to be Kaori in danger? Or did she do that to protect her? In any case, the traps put both the bandits and Kaori in harm’s way. After Victorique sat on the branches he said…

“I don’t think that the traps are safe, Victorique…Kaori is also in danger as well.” Hajime said then thought about something.

“Hmm…Victorique, you practice Kenjutsu am I correct? Come and show me what you have learned.”

Yoshito came in as well and when Sin’chi looked at him he seemed just as down as Kaori.

“Hello, Yoshito. It is good to see that you are doing well. You are just in time to see some action before we begin the mission.” He turned back to Victorique. “We seem to have a bit of time left so come. This is to get you prepared to use that sword of yours. Without your warm-ups then you may be beaten. Perhaps Kaori and Yoshito should spar as well just until the others arrive. It is a good way to kill time, after all.” He said and smiled.

After that he withdrew his katana and faced Victorique to see if she would participate.

While the headmaster was waiting for others to show up, Hanzõ too sat in wait. Very near actually, high up on the branch of a tree, his eyes closed and his ears catching everything that was going on below. He was quite sure that he was completely invisible to others right now. That would be good enough for him, he would follow them from a distance, today along with this mission he would have a perfect opportunity to observe the students, and the Headmaster, from afar before joining forces with them. Afterall, they were his classmates. Inexperienced and clueless, but he had to admit that something at the back of his head felt that some of them show some promise in the path of Kurai.

Unfortunately as for now, he would not see that much. He opened his eyes and glances down towards the others, apparently Headmaster saw it fit to test one of his students right now. hopefully he would give out some pointers that might save someone's life at the end of the lesson. The Headmaster was young. Hanzõ hoped that he was only young, not foolish too, for his plans would be completely bashed if the Headmaster went on ahead and got himself and the students killed on the second day of the school. Well, it could not be helped. If things seemed too bad, Hanzõ would have to do something about it himself. What, a, bother.

Winterfield-san...It has to be Winterfield-san. Only she would do something like this. thought Hikaru as he hung upside-down from a tree.

Let's turn back the clock a bit.

The previous afternoon and evening -after giving up on trying to be a tough guy in front of two demons in the guise of girls- had actually not been that bad. Granted, the two girls had left for a while to do their own thing, leaving the room to himself.

For a little while, he thought about the fact that his roommates were both girls, but he felt it was okay. He wasn't exactly into them after that first encounter. Although... he was curious about one thing. Their bodies, of course! What, were you expecting something else? There were so many rumors spoken by both boys and girls that the quality of their looks was a mystery even to himself, and he's usually a good judge when it comes to these things.

Hikaru had ended up shoving the matter to the side, as he didn't want to think about them much for a bit. Instead, he turned his attention to the exercise earlier that day. He had no idea how it worked, but he guessed that was his own fault. He didn't understand how to apply it that way.

Don't get him wrong, he knew how to use it. He had to have learned something by now, but he really never showed it. After all, it was just basic stuff. Besides, Hikaru never really learned much more than it anyway, so the little wall technique was just not possible for him. Still, it was fun to play around with.

He spent some time fiddling with a few orbs of light, just turning them into different stuff. A ball, a die, a Den-Den Daiko- He really just did it to pass the time. He stopped before either of his roommates returned. Even doing something like that kinda takes some energy out of him. He couldn't remember when he fell asleep, but he knew that what he was doing earlier contributed to him falling asleep quickly.

He woke up this morning to the smell of toasted bread, and found that his roommates had left him breakfast. Hikaru accepted the meal and ate it all...then he realized that he was late for class...again...

Hikaru ran through the hall just like the day before, and made it to the class once more. He had no doubt in his mind that his teacher probably saw him as an annoyance by now. He sat down in his seat, looking down.

The class passed by, and he found himself heading over to the meeting place of the mission. It was mandatory, so he really didn't have much of a choice, but that didn't mean that he felt comfortable about it. Chasing off bandits wasn't exactly something he thought he'd have to do.

He saw some of the others meeting up ahead, and started running over to get there faster. He passed by the tree that Kaori was sleeping against, and the next thing he knew he was strung up to the tree by his leg.

And here we are.

Hikaru looked up to the branch that the other end of the rope was tied onto. When he saw Victorica up in the tree as well, he gave her an unamused look. He didn't exactly glare at her, because the trap wasn't that bad, and she had this mischievous aura about her. Still, it was annoyong, and right next to Kaori, which would probably put her in a bit of danger too if she woke up.

Not wanting to continue looking like an idiot, Hikaru climbed the rope. It wasn't really that hard, and it wasn't as if he didn't pick anything up from the school. He still got a bit stronger. All he really needed to do was grab hold of the thing and work from there.

Once he got up to the branch, Hikaru pulled himself onto it, and undid the knot around his leg.

Hikaru took a moment to catch his breath, and the proceeded to say,

"Why is there a trap by the tree!?"

Victorica

Headmaster noticed Victorique her presence and immediately saw that Kaori was sleeping too. This might not have been not so bad for Victorique as for Kaori. Victorique hoped the girl would just stay asleep for now and that the teacher did not take a mental note of it. The teacher also claimed the traps weren't safe for Kaori herself. As the teacher lectured her about her traps she noticed another familiar presence closing up on them. Her roomie was to fast, the forest surrounding them covered part of the usual sight they always have so it was harder to react to these kind of circumstances. Since it was already to late to warn him it might be better to just continue the conversation with her teacher "It's good against people with lots of lust."

She looked down while sitting high up in one of the branches of the tree. The usual calm face and smile. At the same time her roomie also looked up and seemed rather unpleased by her. Had it gone to far? Well it wasn't completely her fault either way. No one would have tried to get this close to Kaori as this soul "As for Kaori her safety. I don't think she will move that fast during her sleep, so when she awakes i'll simply warn her" Victorique jumped down from high up and landed softly onto the ground. She glared at her roomie while jumping down and tried to help him by cutting the rope but he had already found a solution. He was still high up in the tree so she figured to give him a hand. She untied the remaining part of the trap she had set and also pulled the rope that was before stuck on his leg towards her when he finished untying it. She tied one of her kunai to one of the ends of the rope and slung it around.

She then trew the kunai up in the tree around a branch that looked sturdy and was higher up then Hikaru. She let go of the other end and made a perfect safe climbing rope down for Hikaru "Next time the enemy won't be as nice not to cut your throat while your stuck." Victorique sounded like she was serious but didn't show as much expression as there was suppose to be. She then left, to accompany the teacher for a fight. Before she joined the teacher in a fight something remarkable caught her eye. The boy Yoshito was sitting at the river side and she hadn't even noticed him. Furthermore he might freak out if he saw an unknown someone in an area of peace and nature. So she refrained from approached until she knew him slightly better and he was informed better of her existence.

Victorique stood before her teacher and smiled once more at him before she deeply inhaled and suddenly had a very serious look on her face. She raised her scarf in front of her mouth and unsheathed her katana that was bound to the back of her waists and holded it steadily in her right hand. She deeply glared at sin'chi and bended down through her knees a little to give herself a boost. She then rushed towards sin'chi and tried landing the first strike on his chest with the back of her blade while sweeping away his left leg with one of hers. She expected him to block such a blunt strike but not the next one, she then jumped back and immediately went in for another strike. She used the same strike as before but this time trusted it towards the teacher by pushing the bottom of her katana with the other hand.
