Gate ( Modern day world linked with a Medieval fantasy world )

Okay, so this is roughly based on the idea in the popular anime/manga 'Gate'

Two worlds linked. One like our own, another a fantasy like world with dragons and stuff.

I thought it could start with you role-playing as a character who would be the first to find the gate and meet those from the other side (other peoples characters) and later a war between the two worlds would develop.

I'm 100% open to anyones ideas. I wouldn't consider myself a GM as I would like everyones input to be equal.

Would anyone be interested in this kind of thing?...

I would be interested in this idea, I've never seen/read the series it's based off however.

WOW! I really didn't anticipate this much interest; sorry for not checking.

I'll start to iron out the details and then run them by you guys. Any ideas are appreciated.

In the mean time I suppose just think about which side you would want your character to start on, race (human,elf,orc,fairy ect..), personality. I'll post a rough list of character information I think would be needed.

@mizushinzui No prior knowledge of the series is needed as the storyline would be dictated by players actions.

@ChristaEinheart Oh sorry, just realized your question.

The story itself it rather self explanatory: One world which developed magic, meets another which developed their technology (earth). You would roleplay as a citizen of one of the worlds who would experience this event.

I was thinking the roleplay itself would initially focus on relationships between characters from the two worlds. Both worlds characters would be amazed with the magic/technology from the other so it would be fun to have them show each other that stuff. The story could develop into a cold war scenario which would add some tension to the characters lives. There could be a bit of fighting and then you guys could decide if you want full on war to break out, or return to a non-combat RP style.
