My memory on the details are a little fuzzy, but is -hiding in the mist technique- vulnerable to strong breezes/gusts?


I'm not sure; Kakashi never did anything like that in his fight against Zabuza, and I don't recall Madara doing it in his fight against the Kage after the Mizukage did it. And he had a big ol' fan. So either it can't be moved or they didn't bother for varying reasons.

Or I just don't remember the fights very well. It doesn't state one way or the other on the wiki.

@Hatman1801 @tex In cases like this use your brain. Can mist be moved in real life? I'm not sure but if you know that you can apply that.

Also it could be that Madara just didn't find the Mizukage worthy enough. I mean, the guy was a literal God. So...

@PartisanYeah, the whole "seeing chakra as colors" thing basically just makes the mist show up as a big wall of chakra. The Byakugan's field of vision probably just lets them see around/through the mist particles. So @Partisan will be able to see what's going on, and my character hasn't 100% noticed the Byakugan. And I'm assuming that @Tex will be able to find anyone if they're on his silver pool.

Hmm, the Byakugan is kinda weird because it also is capable of ''zooming'' so probably, it can just ''zoom'' past the chakra and see what's going on anyway. Also, since it sees tenketsu and the chakra paths, I'm unsure if it could also pick those out of the chakra mist.

@PartisanDon't mean to double-post, but it still wouldn't explain the Kakashi vs Zabuza thing, because Kakashi would have done it against Zabuza. I'm willing to operate under the principle that it can be moved, just not as easily since it's still a jutsu; like giving yourself a larger range of vision, but not pushing the entire mist away.

@hatman1801 Therein lies my concern. While Zay cannot use any wind-style jutsu, he could potentially create strong gusts, but there's a significant difference between chakra infused gales and something comparable to a giant desk fan.

@Hatman1801 I'm not sure that Kakashi would've had the capability to do it - afaik I've never seen him use wind based jutsu. Regardless, removing the mist is probably more beneficial for you than us, because you currently can't see shit and as such you're getting attacked by Higoho.

I mean, if you want to discuss it you should discuss it with @tex because I'm not planning to remove the mist.

@PartisanExcept the whole trained-in-Kirigakure-before-it-got-fucked deal. If ya can't fight in the jutsu, you don't bother with it, and being trained to fight in it is probably bog-standard for shinobi from there (hopefully including Mikoto). Still worse for us against you specifically, but probably not as big of a deal as initially thought.

@KenyeIsMyLifeYou can see Mikoto and Zaisette through the mist?

@Hatman1801 Yeah, that's why I haven't really mentioned anything about the mist. Cause, well, Mikoto and Kanata kinda grew up with taht too. (didn't fucking add that to the CS but well, saved me problems of Savato telling me I forgot to).

Thats the reason i had a CAPSLOCK-Fest earlier, i thought Mikoto was still outside of the haze and was only gonna go for him, but then i saw his post and i knew i fucked up. I fixed my post, hopefully.

Stupidly enough the Byakugan is apparently also capable of seeing through genjutsu. I think the Byakugan might be a bit too OP now that I think about.

Considering my silver allows me to detect chakra signatures of those who directly interact with it, could I discern which shinobi is Niro due to the mist being practically flooded with his chakra, despite the fact that I'm not familiar with the chakra of anyone on the battlefield? Further inquiry would be, would I even be able to discern different chakra signatures, generally speaking? Or would you consider that a sensory-specific talent?

@KenyeIsMyLife I would consider Zaisette inside of the mist atm, would you still be able see him? I'd imagine you'd notice liquid at your feet first, or miss him altogether.

To be fair, the positioning of each person is very vague atm, which I intend to fix with my post.

I don't think your character would be able to 'know' the chakra signature from the mist only, given that you're not sensory/have sensory techniques. However if this person wanders onto your silver, you'd ofcourse be able to detect him.

Further inquiry would be, would I even be able to discern different chakra signatures, generally speaking? Or would you consider that a sensory-specific talent?


Sensory only, unless the character is so strong they're literally radiating chakra (i.e Madara or someone of that calibre.)

Besides that I encourage you all to duke this out personally before coming to me or Sav or J8 - these are custom jutsu and we don't really know the specific limitations that would be placed onto them.

You are literally my worst nightmare. My A-Rank is probably the only genjutsu that'd actually get to you then, purely based on shock value. And the rest of my jutsu are sub-par offensively.

The woes of wanting to make a genjutsu-central character...
