Appearance: Alexei is a gruff, crude, vicious man both externally and internally. His athletic form is covered in scars from almost twelve years of non-stop combat, and his back is a tattoo, inscribing the Blessing of the Emperors Benediction in his native Valhallan. He wears mainly scavenged clothing and armor from his years in the Savlar 10th, with his main outfit consisting of a patched-up Cadian khaki fatigue set, several scavenged bits of flak and carapace armor, and a Valhallan armored ushanka cap.

Philosophy: Radical, primarily interested in the fields of Xeno technology, mainly weaponry and battlefield equipment
Skills & Abilities: Alexei is a genius when it comes to machinery and technology, having spent his years in the 101st Valhallan Mechanized infantry and the 10th Savlar Penal as a combat engineer and tech worker. He has illegal knowledge of the workings of an immense amount of Xeno technology, mainly weaponry, gadgets and vehicles. He's known for stealing the data off of captured or wrecked alien machinery and vehicles onto dataslates and other pieces of information storage, as well as documenting everything he finds in a private, coded journal, to keep said information from being captured by the authorities. He's also a skilled shot with Imperial-made weapons, and even has rudimentary piloting skills for the Chimera and Leman Russ tanks. He has a rudimentary understanding of various Xeno languages, enough to read their technological terms, such as blueprints and schematics, though by far he is the most skilled at reading Eldar.
Equipment: He carries the lasgun model commonly used by Valhallans, a revolver pistol with the name F. Karamazov engraved along the pommel(He claims it was a gift from a friend, no records on how he obtained this), a microbead communications device, canteen, 2 frag grenades, an engineering and electrician toolkit, The Uplifting Primer, and his own handwritten notebook describing Xeno technology he has encountered, written in backwards Valhallan, to ensure almost no one can read it but him.
Miscellaneous: He wears an aquila pendant around his neck, with the Valhallan text "Император защищает" or The Emperor Protects in Gothic. He generally has a pack or two of lho-sticks on him, as well as the occasional bottle of starch-distilled Amsaec

"So...Malakhov, is it? It says here you were born on the ice world of Valhalla, and were tithed into the 101st Valhallan Mechanized Infantry after you came of age, correct?" Spoke a well-dressed man, looking over Alexei with a mix of disgust and extreme interest.
"Da, Tovarish. I fought with the 101st for many year." replied Alexei, his thick Valhallan accent resonating through the nearly empty room.
"I see...it also says here you were discharged and arrested, after 8 years of loyal service, for possession and usage of Xeno technology. Is this correct?" The man asked him, nearly spitting the words out.
Again, Alexei answered "Da. Though it was merely to aide in fixing of tanks and vehicles." "Be that as it may, possession of such items is still a crime against the Imperium. Now, it says that since then you were sent to the mines of Savlar, where you worked away your debt to the Emperor, before being tithed into the 10th Savlar Penal Regiment after a year, where you have served for the past three years. It says here that in that time, you have had several other...'Encounters' with Xeno technology. Why is this?" The man continued, practically screaming his demand for an answer into Alexei's nonchalant face.
"Well, I think Xeno technology could be of great use for Imperium. It has saved me and my comrades many time. The Imperium is in desperate need of new aide in wars, and I think Xeno tech is key to that." Alexei replied, staring the man in front of him down, showing that he was not afraid.
"In that case, I think I know what must be done. You will not return to either the Savlar 10th, nor the work mines. Instead, I have a special assignment for you. Tell me, what do you know of the Imperial Inquisition.....?"

Appearance:
Rathanael maintains a cleanly shaved scalp which leaves his three service studs clearly displayed above his left eye. A single puckered scar runs from above his lip and down over his chin and down the front of his neck and various scars dot the rest of his body beneath his Power Armor. Rathanael’s armor is Mark VII despite his status and it is adorned with the marks of past battles as the armor has been repaired countless times.
As one of the Black Templar Sword-Brethren Rathanael’s armor sports the Crux-Terminatus on the left shoulder as well as the Devotion Chains which serve to remind him of his service to the Emperor and to his Chapters endless crusade to rid the galaxy of the enemies of the Emperor.

History:
Rathanael earned his place as one of the Sword-Brethren of the Achilus Crusade in the Jericho Reach during the Thetus Crusade where he fought on the front lines to cleanse the Hive World of the Genestealer Xenos taint:
“I’d say that Rathanael earned his place among the Sword-Brethren. He’s the hulking Astartes that comes ploughing through a mass of Genestealer cultists with a sword and a Bolter right as they are closing in on a group of Imperial Guard. It was never in exasperation either. As soon as he’d pulled someone's ass out of the fire it was ‘Go there, brothers need you’ then on to the next catastrophe to put it. Rathanael never saw anyone as useless. Every time you came into contact with him it was always because he had a new plan or a better use when this guy showed up.”
“Afterward I got to see there ceremony for granting him Terminator Honours. It’s something to aspire to in service to the Emperor. Of course for Rathanael it was just a matter of enacting the Emperor’s Will there was never a question about what had to be done and he did it.”

In the Achilus Crusade Rathanael proved again that his stoic presence was a constant boon to his Battle Brothers fighting tooth and nail in every engagement and doing his best to prove just how valuable he was to the Crusade:
“You see something that needs to be done and you make it so. The motivation is simple. Enact the Emperors Will and destroy the enemies of the Empire. There are those who would question me due to my use of any advantage available, but in the end whatever the cost: pay it for victory”

Rathanael’s service within the Achilus Crusade earned him the interest of the Deathwatch and shortly thereafter he was sent to serve with the Deathwatch as a member of a Kill team which would run missions into the deeper parts of the Jericho reach. After a fateful encounter with the Dark Eldar Rathanael was sent to a Dead Station within the System of Planets in the Reach known as the Dark Pattern. There he would spend the rest of his time serving as a member of the Dead Cabal: a group of Deathwatch Marines whose sole concern was the Dark Pattern in the Jericho Reach.
“In the end it doesn’t matter how brave you are, how skilled you are, how much firepower you have. Either it’s the Emperor’s will that you live. Or you just die. There are things out there with nothing but ill intentions towards the Imperium of Man and they are poised on the edge of launching an attack upon the very core of what we are. We must be ready and we must stand strong for the enemies of our Beloved Emperor are coming for us.”

Radical. While not wrapped in the politics of the Inquisition; Rathanael utilizes Xenos tech on his Deathwatch missions when the mission requires it of him.
Skills & Abilities:
Rathanael has extensive training in hand to hand combat however he has spent the majority of his time serving as a Tactical Marine and as such is well versed in all forms of Astartes combat. Rathanael’s training was completed in his time with the Deathwatch where he had the opportunity to serve as a Devastator Marine. In addition to his combat abilities Rathanael is also an avid scholar of Xenos lore as he feels that a large part of winning fights is knowing the enemy. With his transition to the Dead Cabal much of Rathanael’s focus has largely switched to the Dark Eldar and the Necron Dynasty of the Jericho Reach.
Retinue Members: Rathanael’s Kill Team was left behind in the Reach when he was sent to assist the inquisition.
Equipment:
Devotion chains: The same set he was given when he became a Neophyte of the Black Templars
Power Sword: A gift from his Chapter for the duration of his time serving in the Reach

Astartes Pattern Storm Bolter: Rathanael may prefer melee combat however he is not fool enough to go without a ranged weapon.
Astartes Pattern Bolt Pistol: The gun in question was the first firearm issued to Rathanael by his chapter. It has served him well over the years.

Name: Melisende Delacroix

Appearance: Inquisitor Delacroix is an athletically built woman who stands at about 177cm in height. Her chin length black hair has more than one gray streak which she does not bother trying to hide, having long since stopped caring about appearances. She may have been pretty in her youth but the life of the inquisitor has a way of hardening the features as well as the heart. She has one hazel eye, the other having long been replaced with an ocular implant through which she has information relayed to her. Her only visible scaring is a long gash which runs from her bottom lip down to her left breast.
Personality: Above everything else Inquisitor Delacroix is a pragmatist. While she may agree with her puritanical comrades on some things, her disregard for ritual and tradition have cast more than one negative gaze upon her in her time. As far as she is concerned her duty is to find and snuff out Heresy and anything that could aid her in that field is fair game. While she has made use of Xenos technology and mercenaries in some of her investigations, she patently refuses to even consider making use of the tools of the Arch-Enemy. Even sanctioned psykers make her skin crawl, the thought of trying to harness things like daemonhosts or chaos artifacts she considers foolish to the point of suicidal. She is a methodical individual, making careful plans and considering as many potential scenarios as reasonably possible before making a move. This methodical thought process his hidden underneath a bellicose demeanor that makes those who have not worked with her before think she is hot-headed and brutish. Not that that isn't a fair assumption, when she acts she does so like an avalanche crushing everything in her path, its just an assumption that ignores all the careful planning that went into getting that avalanche going.

Name: Decanus Belisarius
Age: 352 standard Terran years.
Gender: Male
Role: Astartes retinue member of Inquisitor Ravenstein.
Ordos: Xenos, through association.
Appearance: Blonde-haired and violet-eyed, he leaves the hair chopped short, but he nonetheless sports a notable perfection of feature, something that Imperial sculptors aspire to. He is average sized for a Space Marine. There are three service studs above the right eye. Belisarius' armor is Mk. IV and impeccably kept, as befits a much older mark of armor that dates back to pre-Heresy times. It is painted black with gray and white highlights as is the tradition of his chapter except for the knee plates, which are painted purple and bear a golden "34." His right shoulder plate bears the Crux Terminatus. There are a number of purity seals and, notably, the Marksman's Honour attached to his armor. The Imperialis is displayed on the chestplate, which hides the power cabling that is usually exposed on this mark.
Personality: Belisarius is courteous but reserved, well-schooled in the niceties but also careful in choosing his words delicately and avoiding topics deftly. But if provided a message to give or an order to carry out, he is accurate down to the last detail in orders. When his task is provided, he is deliberate, thoughtful and methodical in the execution. He holds himself to a high standard in ensuring that equipment is in working order and the plan is either executed or adapted or that the situation is mastered. His standards are high, but he holds himself to them.
History: It would be exhausting to detail all the campaigns that Belisarius served in, but the Death Eagles are a chapter that does not trumpet itself. It is not easily researched or studied. In the course of his service, Belisarius was picked out early for his accuracy with a bolter, and in the course of campaigns he served in he was granted a degree of distinction for this. When he earned his way into the first company, it was a given that he would serve in the Sternguard, where the enemies are numerous but that cold determination and steely discipline would win the day. During the [Insert Here] campaign against the Tyranids on [Insert here] he found himself fighting alongside Inquisitor Ravenstein, helping to coordinate the efforts of multiple Imperial forces as a liaison from the Chapter's 3rd Company, where he served as a member of the Centurion's retinue. In this effort, he served as an emissary of the chapter to the Inquisitor, who had command of the other Imperial forces, providing insight into the operations and working to tighten up supplies, communications and other minute matters, which allowed the Inquistor to focus on crushing the threat. He has since been seconded to the Inquisitor's service when needed, but otherwise serves as a Sternguard squad leader in the 1st Company.
Philosophy: Serve the Emperor. Loyalty to the Chapter.
Skills & Abilities: As an Astartes, he received training in the various roles an Astartes can serve in, but as a Sternguard veteran he is particular versed in the intricacies of deploying a tactical squad, and its place in the order of battle. That insight and focus on perfection in that role allows him a complementary understanding of how the other arms must work in concert, carefully coordinated, in order to achieve an optimal result. Decanus Belisarius is also a meticulous planner, though he is not so wedded to a plan that he will not adapt upon new information on what the battlefield holds. He is being groomed for a Centurion role in his chapter, there is little doubt.

Miscellaneous: As the situation demands it, Belisarius will switch to bolt pistol and sword or to a heavier weapon. However, that is rare. He is a Sternguard veteran, the epitome of a tactical Marine, and is able to meet almost any threat with his bolter.

Appearance: Blonde-haired and violet-eyed, he leaves the hair chopped short, but he nonetheless sports a notable perfection of feature, something that Imperial sculptors aspire to. He is average sized for a Space Marine. There are three service studs above the right eye. Belisarius' armor is Mk. IV and impeccably kept, as befits a much older mark of armor that dates back to pre-Heresy times. It is painted black with gray and white highlights as is the tradition of his chapter except for the knee plates, which are painted purple and bear a golden "34." His right shoulder plate bears the Crux Terminatus. There are a number of purity seals and, notably, the Marksman's Honour attached to his armor. The Imperialis is displayed on the chestplate, which hides the power cabling that is usually exposed on this mark.
Personality: Belisarius is courteous but reserved, well-schooled in the niceties but also careful in choosing his words delicately and avoiding topics deftly. But if provided a message to give or an order to carry out, he is accurate down to the last detail in orders. When his task is provided, he is deliberate, thoughtful and methodical in the execution. He holds himself to a high standard in ensuring that equipment is in working order and the plan is either executed or adapted or that the situation is mastered.
