Fuck your Hobostronk, as great as the name was, Barstronk had best people and best GM :V

@Pair of Hearts
Now I imagine you to be the old lady that had like 300 cats in front of her house every morning in the bus I drove by. Good Job.
Also I first wrote that we were in a forest, Ashifili and Zombehs told me it was a grassy plain, so I corrected myself, now we're in a forest again... I AM CONFUSED Q_Q

And jeez, if people have so much trouble not knowing the crunch behind the scenes for whatever petty reasons, just treat it as a complete improv rp where even the stats are just for pure mmo flavour and dice rolls are never a thing :3c

There can be grassy patches in a forest, no worries. I remember reading an English assignment where a woman would go to a hallow of short grass amidst trees, hills and a swamp. Apparently it's a sweet spot for witchcraft. Who knows for this one, right?

Any mistakes I don't rat out are stuff I imply I can work with.

I'd bring this over to PM to allow more expression of personal reviews for better understanding of each other, but I'll put it here instead because I want to know what the other players think as well.

I could do transparency; the ordeal however would take up a bulk in the combat process written out in between GM Narrations. For the majority, it is baffling to look at: to open up a hider and be slammed with all sorts of effects of armour, equipment and such.

I think everyone on board can tell I'm pretty lenient about things, and whatever the lion's share of our group wants, I try to provide. If they find it tedious to be particular about numbers, we'll skim; if they want it listed out, then we'll go with that.

My personal issue with it is that I'm on a tablet so, yes, admittedly it becomes a chore for me. I'm at least five times slower in terms of thoughts-to-words, much less words-to-pixels in comparison to being on the computer like most of you. Given, it's a "my business my problem" matter, but clarifying beforehand.

And after a review of this post, I'd like to make it clear that I've nothing personal against you - now or after - in case anyone is thinking of that.

This is actually my first Tabletop RP and I usually stayed away from it because I'm not good with keeping up with every stat effect, buffer and debuff, hit point stat systems kind of things. So for me personally, the more simple you make it for me...the better, even if it's not as advanced as the others, I'd rather not be lost with all the super details. Otherwise, I'd just back out nice and easy. So far I've been able to follow along just fine.

So...Pair...you ever gonna get around to doing that post for the other peeps? Or have you decided that the JNS Party is enough for this RP?

I'm wondering if the others will ever pipe up about their opinions on the system; it's important for me to know what they want to work with so I can make it enjoyable for those that stay. My co-GM were discussing about this last night and I texted him if I was coming off as aloof about this matter.

Certainly, with your quality posts, I welcome you three with open arms - it makes my toes curl in excitement when I see that you've posted IC. However, I want to make the experience pleasant for my friends whom I've personally invited as well, amd if they want to retreat, I have no qualms focusing on you guys if you still like the idea. I'm always up for someone to explore Nine Worlds. My only regret is pulling my friends in only to let them witness it flop - am I an incompetent GM? Should I just plug out? Worries like that, yanno. Then there's: am I guilting anyone into staying?

Still waiting for jerkchicken's response. If he's quitting, I'll likely use an even more simplified system, then you guys can post without worrying too much about backstage mechanics. I'm attributing his silence to "it's the weekday" reasoning.

And yes, I'm on my mule account. Hello.

I suppose keeping quiet doesn't particularly help, so here's my opinion I guess.

Whatever makes it easier for you is what I'm fine with. While I can agree that without seeing the rolls or being allowed to make our own rolls can make things feel like GM fiat at times, ultimately it's not something that bothers me tremendously.

I'm more bothered by bad GMing or story telling which doesn't seem like it'll be a problem honestly.

I personally don't care about the system that much at all. I mean, it's not like I was invested in the stat distribution of my character or anything, so even if I get screwed over, it's not because I mechanically fucked up somewhere.

So yeah, do whatever. I'll just pretend that this is a normal RP, where the GM decides what's going on, cause really, if all the rolls are backstage'd, that's basically it.

Oh shit I was unaware you were specifically waiting on a response I misread your statement involving a PM. Anyway I think I'll continue for now because I'd like to see the other nine worlds.. Anyway you already know my position on handling mechanics, I'm a hands on guy who likes to interact with them and know what's going.

Also it seems like no one cares about the mechanical side of things and that's cool.

I'd say just why not simplify it and make things even easier on yourself if you're handling everything since it seems to be suggested that you're stuff is on the complicated side.

Oh, thank god. //wipes forehead and shudders

I was wondering if you were here to mess around and hop off the ship after. Anyway, yeah, it would be great to simplify the mechs, but, as it is a virtual reality roleplaying game where stats and skills are half the jazz (in-verse at least), it's hard to come up with an excuse to cut down most of the attributes.

My previous experiences were sci-fi mystery thrillers for a whodunnit plot. Stats were only there to give you a chance to flee an attack if the other night aliens decided to lynch you. Obviously, very different premise and concept. Hence my awkward fumbling with this. (In a crude way you can say this is my VR roleplay GMing cherry popped.)

Anyway, guess we'll make it simple. I'll count the total odds with the RNG, and narrate if something fails or triumphs - health points and mana will be explicitly written, of course.

I need a moment to relax before I write for King Tai, and tbh I'm wondering if @Jin croaked and went to heaven.

Yo, yo.
