@LokiLeo789 As a LoL veteran that played since open beta, specifically since 01/16/09, and deleted my account six months ago, I have only one thing to say about LoL.

It's done.


I put to much time into the game to quite, personally. I find the game o be fun still, and learning and mastering the champs is a big part of why. I've been playing almost nonstop for 3 years, and I'm just getting serious with it. I feel that the game still hasr maybe 2 seasons in it. The communities us to large for it to fall apart.

Let's just say that those 63,816 hours are never coming back...


As for the game... the LCS is the only thing that's keeping it alive tbh and that is pushing it. I doubt it's going to be relevant for more that 3 years.

Those are 63,816 hours that I believe were well spent. I guess.

It's kinda the same for RPing, how many hours have we all spent in front of our computersor phones typing away? All that time was spent on doing what we loved. LOL is no less for me

It all depends on what games you play. I personally never gained much from things like Runescape (anyone remember that?) or LoL, but thing like Sid Meier's Civilisations and Pirates, the Total War games, Crusader Kings, Victoria and Hearts of Iron, and other similar games, have immensely contributed to my personal knowledge and character. Don't think something like LoL can quite do that tbh.

RPing, where you actually bother to research for your posts, is similarly beneficial. In addition to pushing your writing skills, obviously xP

I just play video games to play with Tree and Wong. Victory after victory, Overwatch consumes the rice warrior, until there's nothing left but a single grain...

If anything, art has become more gratifying than RPing or vidya gaemz.

@Hygswitch As far as sci-fi is concerned, the most adventurous I've been is Warhammer 40K - and that's mainly because it has a gritty medieval-ness about it. Something about sci-fi games just doesn't appeal much to me. So I've stuck largely with what you see above, testing the waters here and there, hoping for gems, as I've plodded along.

Hello Everyone ! ( Just signed up on this website tonight.. I had a Rp Itch and i have been looking for a place to Rp ). Anyway this plot seems very interesting.. Always wanted to create a world as a God or goddess/ Demigod or Demigoddess

Just curious.. Has anyone created someone that controls the Shadows ( Not Darkness per day.. But The god of Darkness or DemiGod of Darkness ). I tend to want to RP as someone who is considered Evil ( Think Ares ) but is just misunderstood ?

Geez I remember when I was kid and everyone was looking for that card.. As well as the Egyptian God Cards.
Hell I remmeber going to summer School and playing Yugiho under the jungle Gym. Love to watch the duels that took place

I stand with Kho on those bit about strategy games. I probably know a lot about history and geography from those alone. (Though I'm really into researching that stuff).
If it were not for it, I would never have known that Dijon doesn't have only mustard and burgundy wine, but also some really neat rooftops

From other games I got a lot of artistic inspiration. Especially JRPGs, with all their crazy scenarios and designs. Stuff like Chrono Cross and Ar Tonelico (Which I take a lot of inspiration from with Ilunabar). But the west isn't far behind, but its usually on the little things, like Spyro the Dragon's skyboxes (And music, by stewart copeland of The Police fame)

Some of my adventures across the wild come from ideas I had while playing Minecraft or Haven and Heart. Though on this case I first developed the fascination for the wildness then I went after those games (or mods, in mine's case).

What I am saying is, games can bring a lot, if you learn to take cues from it.

Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot were literally the first games I ever played...and then Puttputt for some reason.

BUT YO STEWART COPELAND IS THE SHIT!

Also welcome @AzazelSlayer, and, there was a character way back played by ArekTheAbsolute that had Darkness (Shadows), but as it seems they haven't been around in a few months the character has been effectively deaded off. So, Darkness seems to be free. As always, check for approval with our lovely great and terrible overlord GM Kho and his Instruments of annihilation CoGMS Cyclone and Rtron. Have fun and don't let Jvan touch your bum.

While I wouldn't tag spyro's soundtrack as very good, I think the sheer uniqueness of the tunes make it memorable enough. In my younger days I liked the more active stuff, Beast maker's home, Gnasty's loot, Doc Shemp... But now I think I prefer the more calm Dreamweaver themes...



Also, yeah, I started to like the word Dreamweaver because of this game. As I said before, most of my stuff, except Ilunabar and Susa, are named after tunes I like.

@AzazelSlayer, have you read the first post of the OOC? This is important, and Kho will be asking you if you have done so.

Primarily, since we have already started, you can not enter as a God, but instead must enter as a Demigod. Ascension to godhood can come later.

Also, to see what characters already exist, you can skim the first couple posts of the Characters tab. Quite a few of them are no longer playing, though.
