just a few minor technical notes. I see you updated the OP with a few of my sugestions already :)

"Armaments: 6 type-VII phaser banks; 2 phaser cannons; 4 (Quantum) torpedo launchers"

The Miranda Class probabbly didnt have all 4 tubes converted to Quantum, maybe 1 or 2. Only, as far as i can tell, the Defiant and the Sovereign Classes were 100% Quantum by this point in the ST timeline.

"Auxiliary craft: 12 Class 2 Shuttle; 4 Type 18 shuttlecrafts; 1 Shuttlepod"

I see you used my recomendations, but the type 18 is a shuttlepod so no need for four of them and "1 shuttlepod". Oh and please bring back the work bee, I was looking forward to trying to find an excuse to fly it :p

@TeddyinahatMy head hurts too much to figure anything out. (Darn persistent headache) So I changed it back to what it was in the first place. I'll sort it out later.

[@everyone] The OP is live. I just set the scene. Feel free to be anywhere you so desire. Mingle. Get to know each other. Have fun. There's two hours until the Orion departs to Vulcan. If you miss your ride.... Uh... Just be on the ship :)

Also, the NPC in Transport room 5 is a free NPC, anyone can mod her. She's not a GM-specific NPC. (If there's ever any confusion you can check the character list. If the character is not in "GM Played NPCs" anyone is free to use them.)

Last note, once everyone posts at least once I will post again which will see us entering the Vulcan system. So if you want me to hold off for a few posts so you can all mingle, let me know.

At warp 7 it will take 9-11 days to get to vulcan from earth (depending on sources) so im going to say 10 days for this trip unless the captain or GM decide we should go faster than cruising speed.

Warp 7 = 9-11 days
warp 8 = 6-7 days
warp 9 = 4-5 days (which we can't do)

for comparison, if anyone is interested, The USS Enterprise E can sustain it's max speed of Warp 9.99 for 36 hours and can do the Earth-Vulcan trip in between 18 and 21 hours.
