I'm gonna give this RP another shot. This is a role play inspired by Re:Monster. When your soul finds itself in the body of something not human, how will you strive to live? Carve out a peaceful life, destroy the world, or surpass God? The choice, is yours. Welcome to From Goblins To Gods!

Introduction
Once, you were a human. Maybe you were a salary man, or a kid on a skateboard, or a third-grade English teacher. Either way, you're dead now. As quickly as your soul is placed into darkness, it is pulled back out. Light and sounds accelerate, and your eyes crack open for the first time, in a new body.

You're a Goblin.

Born in a small, remote tribe of Goblins in a forested island, lacking any knowledge of your geography, you are thrust into the world. While only a newborn, the instinct and basic abilities of your kind are ingrained into you. How to communicate, how to hunt, what you must do to survive, as well as inherent information to your new world. This is your life, this is your mind. The memories of your previous life, your previous world, they exist but merely as a hazy dream with the conclusion forgotten. With time, sufficient experience and growth will open the option for you to evolve from a goblin to a different branch of monster, but this will depend on your own ability.

Just one thing sets this new batch of Goblin juveniles, your clan, apart from the rest. A single facet of their souls, a single "skill" retained from their past life that they do not even know they had. Perhaps an affinity for a rare kind of magic, perhaps a propensity to lead, perhaps the knowledge of a language they don't recall learning. Will this mistake in the cycle of reincarnation lend them the power to break past their limits, or will they simply fall like wild beasts to the onslaught of the world?

Welcome to the game, and do make it entertaining.

I'm definitely intrigued by this.

Do you have a preferred post length and frequency?

@BurningCold Glad to hear that.

As for length and frequency of post, I'm gonna be honest and say that there isn't really any. I mean, as long as you come up with at least one paragraph, we're good; I don't think that's too much. If people would wanna type up something quite lengthy, I wouldn't mind. As for frequency, the minimum would be once a week, but that would be stretching it since I usually update multiple times in a week if its possible.

@Alupi Seeing as how this concept is really interesting and you're flexible with the posts, I shall prepare a character.

@Ashevelendar Nothing wrong with Alexis, she's a fine gob. Just edited her CS a bit. Everyone start with no skills, so I just put none under it. As for Alexis' talent, she can have Fighting. That just means she's more skilled than other newborn gobs. Talents can evolve and improve eventually, so just keep on fighting!

@BurningCold As for Ork, given his personality and past life, I think his talent would be a proficiency in intimidation. That's kinda nifty, right? Basically, the chance of intimidating his foes is higher, but this will vary depending on your opponent and situation. Give it a name and some flavor text; I'm assuming you enjoy those kinds of things.

@Kaiachi No problems with Esaq. You can choose between a talent that gives her latent magical potential or some skill in sword-wielding.

@Duoya The only issue I have with him is his personality. Seems a bit contradictory, like two different opposing personas that were stuck together. Maybe you could explain something that I didn't understand? In a nutshell, it says he's arrogant with a superiority complex but is also a suck-up and humble when needed. Kinda weird.

@Lord Zee Nubs is cool. For your talent, Nubs can choose a latent magical potential in the unholy arts or a bit of medical knowledge, simple stuff such as anatomy and ideas on basic first aid.

@Alupi I had some questions regarding the roleplay.

-Are all of our goblins meant to be working together, or will player conflict be encouraged?
-What level of technology is this world the goblins have been born into at?
-Can we get some info on the prominent societies/races in the world and their interactions with one another?
-More specifically, how are goblins generally regarded by the aforementioned societies?
-Will our goblins be aware of any information pertaining to the last three questions?

@BurningCold
No problemo, ask away.

That's all up to you, the players. If you wanna make a community that thrives on friendship and family, go ahead. If someone decides to kill their fellow goblins for some reason, they can try. The tribe splitting into two factions? Quite possible if you really wanted to.

As for now, everyone is gonna be start in a tribal-like setting. The most advance things the tribe has would be huts and some steel weapons.

Hmmmm. My apologies, but that info I plan to give out once the RP starts. You know, the element of surprise.

Let's just say goblins are at the bottom of the food chain.

Nope. You guys are newborns.

@Alupi I feel comfortable knowing that you have the information at your disposal, even if we aren't yet privy to it. I was just making sure that there was more to this roleplay than the paragraphs in the op.

What sort of system is going to be in place to determine success/failure when taking actions worthy of being scrutinized, such as attacking another player or npc, or trying to intimidate an opponent, or attempting to sweet talk someone?

And in a similar vein of thinking, if another player, for example, tries to persuade Ork into doing something that he's initially not willing to do, and "succeeds", am I required to write a post that goes against mine and my character's interests?

Additionally, if another player attacks my character with intent to kill, and once again, "succeeds", is that it? Do I completely lose the character I've put effort into, and potentially lose access to the roleplay as a side effect?

Also, would we be able to gain some information on how monster evolution is handled? Or is that also going to be revealed as the roleplay progresses?

@BurningCold Don't expect any intricate system here; I'll just based everything on my own judgement. Honestly, I'll be doing most things on the fly; assuming that I've got everything figured out for this RP is sort of wrong. I enjoy spontaneity, so that's how I'll be handling this RP.

You're responsible for RPing Ork, if you don't want him doing something, then don't. Just remember to stay in character. And if your character is in a situation where he might die, then try your best to survive. If you don't, then that's it.

As for the evolution, probably when the RP starts.
