The Wild West, as it was often called. With the acquisition of land to the west of the Rockies, the still forming States pushed past the mountain range to grow and flourish. Many saw this as an opportunity, a fresh start for their lives and so, men took their families towards the west. Their thinking was right, it would be a new start. Though some didn't expect the conditions that they found. A climate that differed from that of the east, as well as the large populations and areas of natives.
The year is 1882, the day, June 25. The town of Tombstone is recovering from the second fire in two years that ravaged the town. The western half of the business district was struck, dealing a blow to the town, but the citizens didn't give in. They hadn't given in with the breakout of the lawless that kept hounding the town, either by staying within the town and starting trouble, or hassling the people on occasion.
Tombstone is the latest stop for a rather infamous couple, but it won't be their last. So far their reputation isn't the best as compared to someone like Butch Cassidy or Jesse James. They were on the rise though, already having pulled off enough capers to catch the attention of some aspiring outlaws. Whether by tracking the two down, or by pure luck, you find yourself stopping at the sign of Tombstone, ready to take the chance and possibly get wealth beyond imagination, or die trying. That is, if that's your idea. Now if you're trying to hunt down these two, you've stopped here from tracking them down on their spree of crimes along the west. Good luck.

This is a list of what is required for a character sheet. There is no set format, but don't be afraid to take free roam of making it look how you want. All I ask is for the information listed. Be creative and have fun with making your character! Full Name Aliases and/or Nicknames Picture or Gif of character Age Gender Personality traits (Good and bad) Quirks Likes/Dislikes Favored Firearm Horse (Name and description or picture if the character has one) Biography And feel free to add anything that I haven't listed. It's pretty bare bones, but that's where character development comes in!
Defiantly in if you have the room! I got a collab in the works with @Pinkie.

@Fabricant451 I will allow it. Though with two people already interested in doing characters that are along the way of bandit hunters or the like, I would say no more than one or two more people can go that way. Don't want to end up with only two outlaws and the rest vigilantes, the law, or the like. If more than 3-4 people total put character sheets for such, we can try to work something out, either by choosing the best characters in those parts, or another way.
Soldier of the United States Army (1846-1865) Bounty Hunter (1866- )
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Elijah Thrapp is tired and he knows it— a lifetime of war, conflict, and strife has pushed him to his limits.
There was once a time where Elijah shed his morality for the righteous pursuit of the country, times where he was eager to shed the blood of foreign neighbors, fellow countrymen, and ostracized natives; a time he has been running from since he fired his last bullet in uniform in 1865 during the last year of the American Civil War— but that time is no more. As part of his oath to himself and god, Elijah has changed morally and ethically even in spite of his occupation as a bounty hunter; and that fact is no hoax. But being a morally-inclined bounty hunter is no easy task and definitely does not come with its hurdles and challenges. Said challenges have been many in the last sixteen years ranging from dealing with people who have laughed in his face at his “born again” ideologies and taunted the tide of unease that lies underneath. Elijah would never lie and say that his tolerance for the morally insolvent is low and his actions have shown that the unrelenting storm that is his anger and hate still remains underneath the surface. With the right words, actions, and an alcoholic suggestion Elijah would willingly shed his tolerant humility to punish the wicked and ill-mannered.
T R A I T S & Q U I R K S
Alcoholic: Due to the horrors he’s done and seen as well as other mitigating factors Elijah has developed a fondness for “coping” and the means through it is rye whiskey.
Elijah Knows Best: As someone who has lived over five decades and experienced life at its worst and best, Elijah can understandably act with a degree of pompous pretension such as believing he knows best and speaking out on it with recollections of his experiences and how they apply to a situation. Some find it interesting, but most find it annoying.
Gardener: Whilst Elijah would hardly call himself a botanist or herbalist, there is a certain efficacy in knowing which plants in a forest are harmful and which are beneficial. His knowledge in this part helped him through certain wilderness situations during the American Civil War and he has continued to practice these skills.
High Road: Elijah has a particular code of conduct and serves by a lifestyle that wealth is secondary to ethics and morality. This can be manipulated earnestly by grifters and other huckster-type individuals as it is clear that Elijah would give his hard won earnings to feed someone in need even if it does a disservice to his own self being.
Retired Military: As a well-seasoned veteran of the Mexican-American War, Navajo Wars, the American Civil War, and the Yavapai Wars there is little issue to claim that Elijah has a lot of ghosts looming over him. With the harrowing experiences behind him there comes some good with it— reputation, perspective, and experience. While he may not be as fast on the draw as others he most certainly is just as accurate and deadly if not moreso.

H I S T O R Y
Born in 1829, ---
A normal man would’ve shed his guns after all of their experiences painting them as a savage and immoral warmonger but by the time Elijah had come to a resolution about himself it was far too late to hang up his guns. Elijah had been too old to learn a new profession after a trend of violence serving his nation in earnest and realized his options to redeem himself and follow a new path were limited. There were private agencies like the Pinkerton’s who had rose to prominence that required the service of a professional soldier, but then there were sheriff’s and marshal’s who were trying to keep the wild frontier under control. Elijah admittedly wasn’t sure what the right path was but he knew that running under the shadow of the government or a private force like the Pinkerton’s would not be the way to continue living especially after he had made an oath to himself and god that he would somehow right the wrongs he had enacted over the last twenty or so years. Thus the answer came to him to be led by no one but himself; so he became a defacto bounty hunter and hireling that would only go where he was needed. A motto represented his life thereon— “have gun, will travel”.
Eyy, I'm joining in with Fear if there's room, we've got collaborated characters.
Winona Gabriella Morgan
"You gon' pissin' up and down both sides of every tree, walkin' with your belt so high y'think they're yours to piss on. Lemme' tell you somethin' mister, you gon' and pissed on the wrong tree."
Gender: Female
Alias' 'Winnie' 'Wild Kid'
Age: 17 (Seventeen)
Personality:
※ Brash ※ Hot Headed ※ Acts before thinking ※ Good natured
Many veterans of this rugged land would describe Winona as the typical saddle kid; too full of piss and vinegar for her own good, too ready to start a fight for the wrong reasons, and too full of pride. Despite this, Winona is typically good natured, and usually attempts to do what she perceives as the right thing. Despite that, she's not above the petty evils of minor theft or cheating.
Quirks:
※ Animal lover Winona spends a good portion of her time with animals, be it during her time among the woods or her strong bond with her horse Joshua. As a result, Winona cares for and has a strong natural connection with animals.
※ Self Conscious Always feeling a need to prove herself as a capable and intelligent person, Winona maintains an at times unhealthy level of self consciousness. Whether it's over her age or skin color, she constantly strives to prove any doubters wrong.
※ Former Slave Though she was born nearing the end of the Civil War, Winona was still a slave at her birth, and has suffered at the hands of racists on both sides of the north/south line. She particularly fears segregation and outcasting due to her skin color, and moreso fears restrainment and imprisonment.
P E R S O N A L I T Y & Q U I R K S Despite the gritty undertones, Emmanuel is a fairly charismatic man that has a mysterious way with his words. He's often noted as suave and very confident, if not, overconfident. It's not so much the things he says, but rather the tone they're delivered in. Emmanuel has a tendency to stop conversations in dead halt with dry, and depressingly ironic one-liners. Not only that, but he is known for making vaguely inappropriate comments in the same manner. Surprisingly enough, he hasn't received too much backlash for it.
Being told what to do for a chunk of your life really makes a person dislike authority, especially when that authority is commanding you to engage in life risking combat. It wasn't so much the violence that put Emmanuel off; he always had a strong stomach for that sort of thing, and the adrenaline rush he received from military service was exhilarating. It was the fact that someone else was telling him to do it without any other choice. In that sense, he is quite cynical and tends to follow his own route in life with a very "don't tread on me" attitude. Emmanuel generally comes off as exhausted considering his age and being a retired military veteran. Because of this, he is most commonly lighthearted if not anything else.
In terms of quirks and mannerisms, Emmanuel tends to kiss his teeth when he wants to portray a few different feelings. This can lead to some confusion because he does this when he is unsure, disappointed, angry, or even dumbfounded. It's something most people have picked up on from knowing him for an extended period of time, though it's rarely brought up with him.
Overall, Emmanuel can be thought of as too goofy if he's in the right mood, or too serious depending on the context.
L I K E S √ Guns. Emmanuel is what you might consider in modern times to be a "gun nut". He has an avid interest in firearms and supports protecting the right to bear arms. √ Smoking/Drinking. Specifically chain smoking. For that reason, most of Emmanuel's clothes smell like ashes. Typically you can find him with a crudely rolled tobacco cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth. As for drinking, who doesn't? √ Freedom. This one has always sort of been a given. Emmanuel understands the value of hard work and the rewards that come with it. √ Deep thought. Emmanuel is fairly philosophical and tends to drift off when he's alone. From time to time he'll zone out, and it's often confused with post-war stress symptoms. Some people have said that the war threw him for a loop, but really he's just thinkin'. √ Theatre. Emmanuel never wanted to be an actor, but he's always had a place in his heart for a good show.
D I S L I K E S ✘ Worrywarts. What a buzzkill. If you ain't ready to enjoy yourself, then stay home. ✘ Traitors. Know who your friends are. An act of treason is of the most lowly you can commit. ✘ People prying or nagging. Live and let live. ✘ "The Mexicans". I'unno. Might have been the influence his parents had on him growing up, but he's never liked Latino's. Despite this, he's never been outwardly aggressive or violent towards them either (unless they instigated it).

"Churchill". Spanish Mustang.
B I O G R A P H Y Life wasn't all that hard growing up. Emmanuel was an only child born into a middle class family in good ol' Virginia state on October 3rd, 1837. His mother was a stay at home kind of gal, and his father was the towns doctor. It was a fairly small settlement, but Emmanuel enjoyed it as it allowed room for the growth of nature and forestry, the same landscape he played in as a kid. At the age of 9, he was baptized by the towns bishop at the church and attended regularly afterword. By the age of 20, both of his parents had fallen ill and for about a year and during that time he was responsible for taking care of them. They passed subsequently, which left the already independent Emmanuel on his own for the rest of life's journey. Finding it hard to make ends meet, he joined an underground fighting racket that he went to often in order to get by. He became a notoriously good fighter and typically won every match he got into which in turn, brought him a lot of money and fame around town. On April 12th, 1861, the Confederation opened fire on Fort Sumter in South Carolina, sparking the civil war between Union States, and Confederate States. At this point Emmanuel was 24 and had been fighting for around 3½ years until one day the lawmen in his town staged an ambush on the fight he was having; putting him and many others into custody. For his crimes, he would be forced to enlist in the Confederate forces and engage in combat against the Union under the infamous General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson in the Second Corps, Army of Northern Virginia Regiment. He saw a great deal of bloodshed, some of which was very horrific. However, this never caused any great deal of disturbance toward him, but rather made his skin thicker. After the war, he came out a decorated veteran and decided to mount his horse and leave his hometown to travel out West in seek of opportunity. He became known as a very elusive figure wherever he stayed long enough to get to know the people around. Nevertheless, he found himself tired as he aged and decided to retire in the town of Tombstone where he would use all the money he saved up from his lifetime and live in peace.

ʜᴏʀsᴇ Guinevere: A light coloured palamino mare with a white star.
ʙɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ When Sienna was 19, she married a man named Jim Carswell. She had been keeping her mother company a quick trip a town over when they met. The trip was for business as Sienna's parents were tanners and needed to make more sales. After first meeting, the two would travel back and forth to visit, and eventually they got married and moved into a small house on Jim's parents' ranch. They worked there with the horses and livestock. Jim's father passed away when Sienna was 27, and Jim inherited the farm. They worked together to run and expand the business, and were quite successful. Sienna managed the more practical work and rarely saw money, while Jim managed purchases (with advice from her) and investments. They didn't have much excitement, but things weren't boring either. Sienna loved the horses and she started to spend a lot of her time breaking and training young ones. She became quite an adept rider. Jim taught her how to shoot guns, and she put enough practice into it to be able to defend her daughter. Their daughter, Margaret, had been born when Sienna was 22. When Sienna was 34, her husband caught an illness and died. She and Margaret continued to manage the ranch after Sienna had always played gambling games, with friends, but never with money bet. After her husband died, her and her daughter started to get short on money as the business was struggling and Sienna started professionally gambling. It worked, for a time, and then she gradually became more and more invested in what she was doing. When she was 38, her daughter got married. Not long after that, Sienna started to get more and more bored at the ranch, with no family left there. She sold the ranch, horses included, to a nice family and set off on the road, gambling. She had barely traveled, and had never really thought she had the desire for it, but when she found herself on the road she discovered she really had a taste for it. At first, she meant to stop eventually, find a new town or place, maybe live with her daughter... But once she got into it, she couldn't see herself stopping anymore. She had already lived her domestic life for many years, and she was ready to just see where life takes her.
My apologies for the lack of communication from me. Things are looking good so far. I wanted to let you all know, to get us all kicked int gear, that I will be setting a deadline for characters. This coming Monday, November 7th, will be the last day you can submit a character. After that, all the characters will be looked through and chosen from, if need be.
Hey all. Sorry for the lack of communication from me. It's been a rather interesting few days for me. As such, with recent events and how things have gone for me irl, I will be extending the deadline to this Friday, the 11th of November. I do apologize for this, but I do need a couple days to get back into the swing of things.
