I know a flak jacket is often a sign of a Jonin or Chunin in some cases, but I've always wondered why they don't just give everyone a flak jacket and have the color denote rank instead? A flak jacket is supposed to be armor, right? Why send your new recruits into a firefight without armor? :P

@Masaki Haruna Those are older, but I imagine they work quite well.

I mean, I'm not opposed to everyone having their own idea in their head of how it looks. I can even imagine equipment isn't standardized and it's entirely up to the person how their flak jacket looks.

Yeah, with this being only about a century after the formation of the villages I think that there is no strict uniformity outfits/equipment. I imagine it will come later as time progresses.

@Raijinslayer yeah, most of everyone has run new characters, so making totally new ones would be more or less the preferred route I think.

@Gowi I don't recall if Raijin was ever involved with Next Gen.
