*James would smile as he nods, though looks to the counselors* "Well maybe you should ask them if you can use your powers after the canoeing. And maybe if I could watch, I would like to watch and see your power in action. I bet you could do a lot more then move a small rock, I know you'll be able to do more." *Smiling, him trying to comfort and boost her confidence if he could. He believed she would be able to do much more with her power and hopes he can help. But he did mean it, the counselors don't seem very keen on trusting them all yet. He didn't want her to get in trouble, even if he did seem like a party pooper in a way for saying she should ask them. Better him being thought that then her or anyone else getting in trouble now. Though he would have to ask them if he is allowed to watch or anything, though he doesn't have too high hopes after them saying what they did*

"Okay, I'll try asking after we're finished. Honestly, I don't think they should mind unless they have something else planned after the canoeing. I mean, they didn't seem to mind us using our powers up until now," Cecilia said in a hopeful manner. She didn't feel up to bothering the counselors right now, as they were trying to get the event underway. "I'm unsure what what we'll have time for until we have to go to turn in for the day, but if they say yes, I wouldn't mind you watching me practice," she said happily.

"Maybe train a bit while watching, Neric keeps saying I'm losing my touch..." *James would say as he looks away a bit, shrugging and smiling at her. True for a couple weeks he has been rather lax about working out or training, though the Void is kinda rigorous about how he trains. Very specific and picky about what James does and how he works, but it's good in its own way. Thinking before speaking again after a few moments* "I guess it will be nice, get to hang out with you a bit longer. And I rather like your company." *He would say with a confirming nod*

Cecilia took Jame's statement that he liked her company to mean in a friendly way, but was very much delighted to hear him say so. She was close to saying 'me too', but didn't think that sounded right in context. "L-Likewise," she said instead, smiling widely at him. "I look forward to it." Cecilia hadn't given thought to James' abilities aside from just 'spawning' Neric and was pretty curious to see what else he could do. She was indeed fond of him and wouldn't at all mind hanging out, if not today then anytime.

"Hey, don't feel bad, I think your powers are a gift. You can create whatever you want only out of the flames," Helena said, not wanting him to be too critical on himself. At the councilors' question, Helena made a so-so motion with her hand and answered, "I can swim alright."

Edmond smiled as he began to say, "Well im glad someone doesn't see me as a freak. Your really nice, you know that?" Edmond was rather surprised but happy to find someone who enjoys his powers. Back at home his parents call him a monster so they sent him here. After this camp he really didn't know what to do. Edmond shook his head as if he were wet and looked back to Helena as she answered the counselors question. " Wait, you mean you can swim a little bit? " Edmond hated baths or anything that could result in drowning. Helena was probably the same way but she could actually get in the water. Edmond then remembered that Helena did have the power to turn into animals so he asked," Don't you have the power to transform into animals? Why not turn into a fish or something? "

"Oh, thank you," Helena replied with a warm smile, not expecting the compliment. At Edmond's question, Helena shook her head, "I wish it were like that. As a human, I can swim one side of a pool to the other, but if you ask me to stay in one place, I can't keep my head above the water." She paused a bit, needing to think on how to explain her powers. "Well... It's like this- I can't fully transform into land animals or fish. If I transform into a fish on land, I can really hurt myself, or if my lungs transform too I can suffocate," she explained, "The same goes if I'm in the water. If I transform wrong, let's say something like upper half fish, lower half human, I might be able to breath under water, but I won't be able to swim very well. Even if I fully transform one day, I don't know how a fish swims, so I'd have to learn that too before it's successful." Helena realized she might have dragged on a bit, and ran a hand through her hair, slightly embarrassed. "Sorry if that was confusing."

Edmond flashed Helena a toothy grin as she accepted his complement. Helena didn't really know him and he know her, but she was offering to help anyways. Helena then explained that she could not fully transform which was strange. She then goes on to explain that her powers can be dangerous or even life threatening to her or others. "Your not alone. I can't ignite myself fully because it can be dangerous...when i first tryed to, it was as if i had no control over my self." Edmond said as his eyes drifted to the fire as it swayed with the wind. He really was pretty scared of what he can do but also amazed. He then flicked his red ruby eyes towards Helena as she ran a hand through her brown hair as she spoke a little flustered. Edmond nodded as he said," Don't be. I understand. But can you show me what you can do? " Edmond was actually quite curious on what she can do but only if she was willing. Edmond then quickly added," Well what your comfortable in doing. "

Helena never really thought of the dangers of Edmond's fire abilities. She kind of figured the fire would stick on him and he could allow it to travel if he wanted. "I guess that could be scary," Helena said, thinking of what could go wrong if Edmond accidentally set fire to the wrong stuff. At Edmond's request for a transformation, Helena weighed her options. It didn't seem like such a good time, especially after the situation with Neric earlier. Not only that, but there were people who hadn't seem her transform to the extent of before, like Valencia and Max. Helena didn't want to upset anyone. "Well, I can give you a little transformation, but maybe a bigger one later? They can get... well, creepy for lack of better words." Helena held her left hand out and concentrated on it. Within seconds, it grew some in size and fur popped up on her arms. The and result was a bear claw, the claws themselves black and about an inch long. "This is all for now, I can show you later, if you want."

Helena explained why she didn't want to demonstrate something big, which he understood. "Hey like I said earlier, anything your comfortable with." Edmond said as he looked to Helena's arm as it started to change. The side of his mouth tugged up as it formed a giant smile. He then looked at the claws and fur that was now in the form of a bears paw. "Wow! That awesome! Is it ok of i touch?" Edmond asked with a raised eyebrow as he looked to Helena's face for an answer.

Helena was shocked at Edmond's request to touch the paw. "Oh, yeah of course," she said and held her arm out to him. Carefully, the claws slid back into their sheaths, the black pads now unprotected by nature's knives. The dark brown fur wasn't necessarily soft, but it was warm. Edmond was the first person who wanted to feel one of her transformations and she was happy about that.

Edmond watched as Helena's arm begain to change. The sides of his lips pulled up as his ruby eyes shown with curiosity and wonder. Helena unleashed the claws and held her hand out to him so he could feel the fur. His hand reached to meet warm browm rugged hair. He trailed his hand to go to her elbow then to her pad. The pad was ruff and felt like sandpaper but it still had a human feel to it. Edmond kept his hand there as he said while looking to Helena with a soft smile, "Your amazing, you know that?" He then proceeded to rub the pad of the paw slowly.

Helena watched Edmond curiously feel her bear arm. His fingers feeling the pad tickled a bit, causing the claws to sheath and unsheath a centimeter or so. She wondered if she was feeling his hand on hers like a bear would. His compliment caught her off guard, causing her to blush and look away to the fire, "Thanks, that means a lot to me. I think you're wonderful." This wasn't a lie, it was great to meet someone who also struggled with their powers and was still a nice person. Edmond held compassion for the campers he just met. "I'm really glad we met," she added, facing him again.

"We don't feel that you need your swimming suits since the idea is to stay out of the water but if you wish to change do so quickly. Then please put on life jackets. Those of you not wishing to canoe please come talk to us. We can not allow you not to participate but maybe we can find a compromise."the counselors explained.

After hearing the words of the counsellors Valencia raised her hand"Then I'm going to change."she spoke with a loud voice just to be sure that they heard her. Valencia picked up her back from the ground and got up from the bench. @Blueflame She looked at Max. I'm going to change, I'll be right back. Then Valencia started to walk to her cabin. The cabins aren't to far away from the fire pit at all.

Helena seemed surprised at his complement. She turned and blushed which made Edmond realise what he said. He blushed as well and removed his hand from her paw and rubbed the back of his head with a smile as he looks from the fire to her. "You are amazing so don't let anyone put you down." Edmond then smiled wigh a slight blush as she completed him. "Well i try to be." He said and stood up. He held out a hand to Helena to help her get up. Edmond laughed softly as he said, "Hele, im glad as well we meet."
The counselors then spoke up and explained that they were going to go on the boat. Edmond gulped and looked to the lake with a pale face. " W-ell let's g-go get life v-vest on... " Edmond managed to chock out to Helena. He walked to the big pile o life vest and slipped on one. It hugged him tightly around the waist which gave him some comfort, but not a lot.

"I-I won't let anyone get me down, I promise," Helena stammered, flustered by the comments, "Same goes for you, keep your head up." She took his hand and gave a silly curtsey, "Why thank you, sir." His nervousness radiated as he strapped on his vest. She put on her own vest, carefully adjusting it. "Hey, don't worry, the councilors said none of us should fall in. I'm a quick learner so we'll have smooth rowing." She hoped these words soothed his troubles a bit.

"Of course, any time Mis. Hele." Edmond said with a royal like voice and bowed with a silly grinn on his face. He came back up and waited till she was done strapping on her vest. He put his hands in his pockets and looked wearily to the kayaks. He really didn't what to get wet or even go in a kayak for a matter of fact. Helena then explained that she was a quick learning which was understanding. She was very quick on picking up on things that he di even know was there. She also picked up on his nervousness. She then tried to calm him down, which helped a little." L-lets just get this o-over with... " Edmond said as he begin to walk over ro the Kayaks.

Helena followed Edmond and went to the canoes, waiting for the councilors to give further instruction. "Hey, we won't fall in the water. Even if we do, it's really safe here," she said, trying to reassure him. Perhaps he had a fear of water because of his powers. That was the closest she could get to figure out his fear. She really hoped she could help out his fears. Even if he wasn't completely over it, if he was only 99% scared of water rather than 100%, she did her job. Then, she thought back on his powers earlier, the strange slime she saw. "I don't want to be rude or anything, but what was that stuff on your arm earlier when you ignited?"
