Angel walked the halls with what seemed to be content on his face. His hand ran along walls until he stopped. Screaming caught his attention. He became invisible and watched. Head tilted. So they figured out a way to tear up the mind. Interesting.

He watched and moved out of the way when Eden ran in and became visible again. He slowly stepped into the room and leaned in the doorway. "So you need to kill your alter." he crossed his arms. "I can help with that" after all Angel is an alter himself.

Anubis trotted with no real direction. He was not part of this place since he really couldn't be. He was neutral after all. He had to remain so or he would end up tipping the balance of good an evil....kind of like what that man wanted to do. A huff escaped him. Not the first time someone wanted to be a god nor would it be the last. It was just frusterating.

Cal made his way to the kitchen with a rather grumpy look on his face. He began cooking loads off food to try to get the taste of bland vanilla yogurt and pudding out of his mouth. He hated being on of the weaker metas here. He could be broken and killed so easily and be treated as such made it worse.

Celerity sped up to the front door of the HQ. She stopped and looked at the buildings in the compound. After the explosion that the compound sustained during an all out superhero war there was little left and most of the compound had been rebuilt. Most of the team members had died or retired after that.

She looked up at the HQ. It looked all shiny and new. If you looked closely you could see remembrances of the past. A chip of brick that was not quite perfect here and aging stones there. Celerity sighed and opened the door and went down the hall to the office and tossed her stuff on the desk and looked round. Everything was new down to the shiny new door knobs. Bell had seen to it. There were pictures on the wall of the previous members of the Conspiracy. If they died in battle it stated the date of death underneath the photo. She looked at the photos and realized the gravity of what she was undertaking.

Lost in thought she didn't really see the young woman behind the desk in the back of the room. When the pretty blond spoke up she raised her head quickly and smiled. "Oh, hello there. Sorry I didn't see you at first. I'm Celerity. You are the office girl right?"

The young woman wore black framed glasses and seemed slightly awkward but she smiled and answered, "Yes I'm the office girl, Courtney."

Celerity nodded and picked up the room key assigned to her on the board. "Okay I'll be in my room. Call me if you need me."

Celerity went to her room and marveled at the decor. There had been no expense spared. Her eyes took in everything in her suite and smiled as she walked inside.

Gliding down out of the sky a huge Harpy Eagle comes to a landing on the rail of a fence near the entrance. The guards there are astounded by what they see as the huge raptor glares at them with yellow gold eyes as if it is considering them for their potential as calories then it hops off the fence and shifts shape as it falls becoming a beautiful platinum blonde.

Hello I am Leah Goodspeed and I was asked by a friend to attend this establishment as a potential expert in animals says the busty blonde as she fishes her ID out of her cleavage and hands it to the nearest one.

The guards practically gape at her their pheromones displaying their interest in her as a potential mate or plaything which makes her smile and giggle delightedly. She would love to see if either male would make a good mate or plaything herself but she dare not because she would be soon great with child or children and she wasn’t ready for that as yet so she didn’t jump them.

She thanked the two men and then shifted form into a Leopard and runs towards the building shifting back into her human self when she reaches the door and heads inside an presents herself at the reception desk handing the person there her ID.

Kieran landed in front of the entrance to the compound with a soft thud. He felt his muscles in his back, and with little more than a nudge with his mind his large, onyx, feathered wings folded and pressed against his back. Then, with another mental twitch, his wings seemed to almost dissapear blending in to the light. Kieran brushed himself off and examined what he was wearing. He was wearing a long sleeve black jacket, slightly baggy, with a tight white shirt and black jeans. He looked at his hands, with his black fingerless gloves on, and flexed his fingers. Kieran looked up and looked at the entrance. This was going to be his new home. He didnt have much of a choice, but it was either this or continued being hunted. But he supposed this wasnt all that bad. As far as he knew he would still be able to do good deeds and he would be protected here from those who would try to harm a nephilim such as himself for no reason than for the fact he is a nephilim. Kieran took a deep breath then walked forward, past the door and inside the building.

Kieran walked past the two guards inside the building, and tried to ignore the looks that were being shot at in his direction by the guards. In all his years he could still not figure out how people would just......feel what he was. An abomination, a cross species freak, a human/angel hybrid. He didnt know why people hated him so, and while he did care somewhat, he knew it couldnt bring him down unless he let it. Kieran then pressed on, ignoring the guards, and examined his surroundings as he walked towards the front desk. The walls were finely made, and pictures hung from them. No one he recognized, but when he reached a certain photo he stopped. It was a picture of a male and female, holding each other and smiling, looking happier than he had ever seen anyone who looked happy. The man was tall, short haired, and was wearing a bright red jacket. He didnt look super impressive, but he guessed that the innocent look wasnt his fault. In his arms was a beautiful women, who he recognized. She was a goddess, and Kieran was shocked to see someone of her status in the arms of what seemed to be a mortal. But she looked happy, as he previously thought, and that was enough to make Kieran smile. He was glad two people could care for each other like the seemed to care.

Kieran continued forward, stopping at the front desk. He stood next to a blonde women, who Kieran had to force himself not do a double take at. It was something about her, something not natural. But in a good way. Something that made her.......more desirable. Kieran breathed in deeply and mentally shook his head. His angelic subconscious would not let himself fall under any supernatural charms, not if he didnt let it. Kieran then nodded politely at the women, and smiled. Then looked at the receptionist.

"Hello my name is Kieran. I am here to...check myself in I suppose?"

The receptionist introduced herself and handed him his an ID and room key.

"Thank you." Kieran looked at the blonde women. "Have a wonderful day."

Kieran then began walking away, in the direction of his new room.

Driving towards the compound after being recommended by the police chief to go and give the place once where the greatest heroes who put their lives on the line, a try. It was no secret with the police department. It was just that, Troy didn't feel the need to become a superhero where being an officer of the law allowed him to be close to the action anyway. Yes, after most of the heroes either died or retired, there was a bit of silence in the hero community. Yes, there felt no need in bringing back such an organization after the controversies that surrounded it. But.....deep down in ones hearts, there was still a need of a hero when that time came.

Coming up to the front with his police cruiser, Troy got out the car, not too fond of having to join but when getting wind that this place was starting back up, the police chief had to talk him into doing the hero gig full time. Or at least, try it for a while with others like himself. With a sigh, he walked from his car and pulled out his papers to come inside as he passed the guards and walked into the building to catch a glimpse of some others that made it there before him. A sigh escaped his lips as he had to wait to get himself checked in. Looking from the corner of his eyes, he saw the pictures of the former members. One of them being that of Miles...or Visi-Play, for what they called him. Troy couldn't quite remember if he was one of the ones that died or just simply retired but he remembered him as the face of Conspiracy for a while before the fall. Lady Quake, Beast Mode, and many others that was part of this place, they made a mark in history but Troy hoped that he could continue on since the baton have been passed to this new generation.

Celerity turned the corner into the office and grabbed the clip board off of her desk and glanced up. There was a buxom blond there who handed her her ID immediately and a guy who was trying not to stare at the blond. She smirked knowingly. She handed the blond a key and a basic information book on the HQ.

"Name." Celerity said to him.

"Hello my name is Kieran. I am here to...check myself in I suppose?"

Celerity looked at him and handed him a key and a book with some papers to read.

"Thank you." Kieran looked at the blonde women. "Have a wonderful day."

Kieran then began walking away, in the direction of his new room.

Kieran held the book in one hand, and looked at the key in his other hand, as he walked to his new room. He had not expected such......normalcy. He had expected more resistance against him in though he had only been here for a few moments. Kieran did not expect the compound to be as big as it was though. He admired the craftsmanship that was involved, enjoying the colors and the scenary. Everything seemed..........new. Kieran became so distracted he became lost quite a few times. He was able to explore and see most of the facility though thanks to his bad sense of directions. Kieran found the pool room, the rec room, the workout room, and even the kitchen. Kieran was unfamiliar with such accomidating features, and was slightly overwhelmed.

Kieran eventually found his room, and looked it over. He had a bed, a dresser, and a desk. Kieran only had a small bag with very few belongings so he set his bag down on the floor next to the desk, and looked through the drawers. No previous belongings left behind, and everything seemed clean. He looked around, more familiar with the sound of silence that followed, but felt like he should be doing something. Helping out with anything or possibly training. I mean, thats why he was here partly. He was someone of above human average power, and was considered dangerous by the government. Kieran left his room, then went to the workout room he walked by earlier.

When he arrived he took off his jacket and shoes, and placed them neatly by the door. He looked at all the equipment and decided on starting with weight training, where he was weakest. Kieran picked up a few weights off the rack and started to lift.

Celerity zipped through each room and checked them. At her high speeds she had every room in the complex inspected and a report done on them in less than a minute. She decided to go to the workout floor and she went into the gym and passed Kieran along the way as a blur. Once in the gym she ran up the wall and did a backflip that was so fast it turned into 3 backflips before she could stop.

Celerity was irritated with her mother for pulling her off of her assignment with the DOD in the alien defense department. She had been quite happy there. It had kept her thoughts off of what had happened and the Conspiracy HQ did nothing but toss it in her face. Her expression sad she wanted to wear herself out. She wanted to pretend it never happened. Even after 5 years it was still fresh in everyone's memory. She refused to talk about it though. That she didn't have to do.

As Kieran continued his workout he watched as a new person showed up, enthusiastically runnning and flipping and engaging in several activities. Kieran continued working out, but also watched with interest in the new women. She was very impressive, and he did not meet many people with beyond normal human abilites.

Celerity stopped and leaned forwards stretching. Her powers didn't really effect her the way some of the others did unless she used both powers at the same time which was a pretty normal occurance for her. She walked over to the window and sat on the ledge next to it. It was strictly for viewing the most vulnerable direction in case of attack.

She heard Kieran and turned towards him and wondered how many others would be showing up today. She caught his eye on her but she was distracted and not paying too much attention.

Kieran blushed and looked away, seeing that he was caught looking and slightly embarressed. Kierans wings shuffled slightly on his back. He hated keeping his wings hidden but he hated being insulted for them as well. As much as he disliked his angelic heritage he did love his wings. They gave him a sort of pride and he loved flying. Kieran outstretched his wings slightly, his wings sort of appearing on his back. His onyx black wings streched out slightly then flapped once, a new surge of strength building. Kieran flew up and hovered slightly in the air, stamina overflowing.

Celerity snapped back to the present when he opened his wings and took flight. Her gaze followed him about 15 feet up into the air. She raised her hand and yelled. "Defend yourself!"

She sent the force spheres from her hands into the direction of her teammate and took off running. Her speed color was blue as she circled the room in other directions launching spheres at him and then putting her own forcefields up.

Kieran, surprised at first but letting instinct take over, dropped the weights and twisted his body mid air. He twisted himself so that turning his body upside down his wings were able to block the spheres before they hit his body. As he was surpside down, he mentally stopped himself from hovering and fell to the ground, dodging more spheres. He landed on his feet, twisting his body so he was right side up again. Kieran tried to track the woman, but to no avail. She was too fast.

Kieran then analyzed the situation. If he could not track her exact movements, or contain her, and needed to block incoming projectiles then he needed to do something that could stop all three things at once. Ducking and swerving around more projectiles, nimble and swiftly, Kieran formed an idea. There was a blue streak wherever she went, and if he could at least slow her down........

Kieran jumped forward, using his wings to propel him, at the exact moment he needed to. He then wrapped his wings around himself, and waited knowing in a moment she would run into him. He had analyzed the room, and according to how fast the streaks were going and what had appeared to be in random directions, he predicted the next blue streak would start from where he was now defending.

Celerity dodged his position and she purposely ran into him sending him flying backwards. She stopped and stared at him. She stood there shaking her head at him with a frown on her face.

"You need to practice. I'm not having this team getting themselves killed like.... just practice." Celerity started walking towards the door.

Kieran nearly landed harshly against the wall, except he was able to flip himself and land with his feet against the wall. He jumped off the wall and watched as Celerity walked towards the door. He chuckled.

" I was going to say the same about you. You are very predictable. If I had wanted to I could have hurt you. I chose not to retaliate because this is practice. "

Celerity gave him a disbelieving look. "Sure you could..." She said laughing as she left the room. Zipping up to R&D she went in to look at what was being worked on.

The new security measures were tightest on the R&D floor. It was the most often attacked place in the entire compound. Bell had made the construction crew fortify it with foot thick walls. There had to be extra supports put into the building just to handle the extra weight of the floor. Celerity punched in her code and entered the main room. She looked at the head guy in there and said, "Hey Sheldon, how is it coming along? Anything new or unusual in the defence area?" After he filled her in on his latest project she headed to the office.

Kieran smiled and shrugged. He watched as Celerity left cracking his neck muscles. He did not enjoy fighting, but she seemed nice. Kieran massaged his temples, feeling a head ache coming. Sometimes he could pick up extremley strong emtions from nearby people. Nothing useful in combat and something he couldnt control, it was just his angel side being annoying. Celerity seemed to be upset, bothered, almost even depressed over something. He felt bad for her, being the good guy that he is. He wished he could help her move past whatever was bothering her. But it seemed as if their personalities would clash more often than not.

Kieran spread his wings and gained some air, then flew out of the room. He flew down the halls, trying to find an exit outside. But he kept getting lost.

Frustrated, Celerity hung up the phone. Her mother wasn't reachable right now and it was making her crazy. She needed something to drink so she rounded the corner into the hallway and made a left at the end of the hallway. The kitchen was up ahead on the left and the lounge was at the end of the hallway. She grabbed a soda and plopped down onto the sofa in the lounge. She reached for the remote and flipped the tv on. Once she found something mindless to put it on she laid her head on the arm of the sofa and closed her eyes for a moment.

Kieran ended up in the kitchen, landing on his feet and scowling. He had no idea where he was going, and it was starting to annoy him. He looked around and saw Celerity, and smiled. He waved at her.

" Hi. I am trying to find an exit outside, but I keep......getting lost. Pretty big place. Could I ask for your assistance?"

"Sure, the front doors you came in at are down this hall to the elevators, make a right and go straight you can't miss it." Celerity realized her voice was sharper than she had intended it to be. "Sorry, I'm just distracted, It's not you. At the end of all of the main hallways is a door that will open to the outdoors. They are like school doors in the way that they will automatically lock when you leave. You can only get back in through them if someone is there to let you in otherwise the only entrance is the main one you came in earlier."

Kieran scratched his head. That all sounded logical but.........

" Any possible way you could show me. Its a beautiful day outside, come outside with me I was just going to go for a fly."

Celerity raised her eyebrow at him and got up off of the couch with her soda in hand. "Sure, I guess." She walked with him so he could keep up with her. "Any particular place you were flying to?" She turned right and as they passed the office she heard the phone ring. Stopping she popped her head in.

"Is it for me?" The other girl shook her head and Celerity continued walking with Kieran. "So where are we going?"

Kieran shrugged.

" I didnt have a goal in mind. I just felt like flying. Its a beautiful day, and its been a long one already. The world is so full of strife and anger and conflict, so its nice to escape while you can. I have seen you on the ground. Have you ever been in the air before? "

"Yes, kind of. When I run fast enough I can litterally run through the air for a few seconds at a time."

Celerity glanced up at the sky as they walked outside. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze, it was perfect outside. She smiled and her mood lifted.

Kieran smiled and looked at her.

" My name is Kieran by the way."

Kieran wrapped his arm around her waist, then spread his wings and flew high in the air. Kieran had no idea how high they were going, but he flew them as high as he could go before it would get cold. When they stopped Kieran kept them hovering for a moment, to take in the view.

When he wrapped his arm around her waist Celerity was going to object until he lifted them both off of the ground and into the air. Her arms automatically wrapped around him and her eyes looked out at the HQ from above. She felt happy and thrilled and exhilerated all at once. She looked over the HQ for anything she needed to fix or take care of. She turned her head to look at him and realized that her face was merely a couple of inches from his and she shifted slightly so that she could talk to him without breathing up his nose.

"How do you ever touch down to the ground? I would stay up here forever."

" The sky is calming and relaxing but it is too close to the heavens. I prefer my adventures on the earth honestly. But when things become too stressful or when something happens that hurts me emotionally I escape to the sky. "

Kieran leaned forward and they started flying, slowly forward.

Celerity stayed quiet for a moment. "Rachel... only those close to me call me that though." She glanced down and wondered about a million things at once. "So do you have any family?"

Kieran grew quiet at the mention of his family. He knew people were going to ask, since he was gaining new teammates, but it did not make it any easier to talk about. Kieran flew a little faster, twirling in the air once mainly to show off a little.

" My mother.....has passed on from this mortal coil, and my father.......well see I am Nephilim. Offspring of an angel and human. My father.....is supposedly some higher up in command of the heavenly host, so I never met him."

"Ah, I see. Both of my parents are alive. It must be hard not having them around you." Celerity was starting to feel as if she were slipping a little. She hadn't thought about how close they were til she felt his thigh against hers.

"Maybe we should land now? I think I'm starting to slip a little."

Kieran raised an eyebrow.

" I mean, I dont normally bring people up here with my but I am-"

Kierans fingers slipped, and before he knew it Rachel had fallen out of his grasp. Immediately, Kieran folded in his wings and dropped like a log through the open sky. He caught up with her, wrapped his arms around her, then stretched out his wings. They continued to fall but slightly slower every other second. Kieran was able to slow their approach to the point where when they landed he was able to land on his feet with a soft thud.

Rachel had caught his expression realizing he had thought she was possibly insulting him and then she slipped and fell from his grasp. It happened so fast she almost didn't catch her breath. When he caught her she wrapped her arms around him tightly and held on.

She wasn't normally afraid of heights but this had taken her by surprise a little. She hadn't expected him to actually lose grasp of her. When he touched down her head was resting on his shoulder. She hadn't reacted like that in a long time. When they landed she didn't release him right away. It took her a moment to get her land feet back.

Kieran took a small step back but continued to let Rachel support herself on him. He had not meant to let her slip out of his grasp but hey accidents happen. Kieran smiled weakly.

" Sorry. I promise that doesnt usually happen I swear. "

Kieran didnt lie. His concentration was messed up when he mentioned his parents. Its almost like his achilles heel, but he didnt like people knowing that. Kieran looked around, realizing that they were on top of a building in the city.

After getting herself back together and her stomach out of her throat she nodded and looked at where they were. She recognized the location and she said, "Race ya back?"

"Definetely."

Kieran readied himself and spread his wings out.

Celerity ran off of the side of the building straight down the skyscraper and through the city streets hitting mach three as casually as she could be. In reality she was glad to be back on the ground. She did envy him the ability to take to the skies at his whim though. She naturally was faster than him but she waited for him at the front door with a smile.

"Not too bad on the time there."

Kieran took off almost immediately after Rachel. He wasnt anywhere nearly as fast, but Kieran like to think he was fast enough. Kieran arrived back shortly after, sliding in at an entrance with a smile on his face.

"Thanks, I may not have super speed but I take pride in my speed."

Kieran laughed and scratched the back of his head.

" Thanks for a little fun outside. Sorry for dropping you."

Celerity smirked and opened the door. "We are good. I'm still hoping Bell called while we were out." She went inside and headed towards the office.

Minutes after checking in Leah found the Lounge and the food; the lovely food. Chocolates were her favorites and the first thing she found was syrup for Ice cream and so happy was she with this small but precious windfall that she bounded over to where the couches were set up for watching TV and dove onto on with a bit of a bounce. She wasn’t interested in the entertainment system but her prize and sang a happy little song about it



She stopped singing and leaned back letting a light stream of the chocolate flow from the bottle to her tongue and smacking and licking her lips and giggling. You see chocolate has a different effect on Leah because of her Mutation that makes her genetics unlike humans of even most other Meta; it gets her high.

A few squeezes later and she’s curled into a purring ball in the form of a large female snow leopard on her couch singing in her mind as she escapes reality with most of her mind but like many animals this doesn't mean she is unaware of her surroundings and oblivious to danger or the presence of others that enter her area.

After getting his room key and shit from his check in, Troy watched as two of the new people left along with madame huge tits, who he found a bit interesting, not because of her assets but he simply just got a certain vibe from her. Walking towards his new room, waiting until later to get fully settled in, Troy decided to take a walk around the HQ to check out a few things. One was the R&D area that he had no access to because of the problems in the past of plans and such getting stolen and how the HQ was always attacked to get into the R&D department.

Too bad but maybe someday he could check out the place that Glitch once called home. No one knows what happened to him. Rumors had it that he went to search for his lady love, a former employee, said to have worked in sickbay. Whatever happened to him, he should know that the footage taken while he was fighting a Chinatown made him quite famous with the tech he used to combat the powered gangsters. Troy continued on his way, passing the lounge before stopping and backing up with his steps to notice a snow leopard sitting on the couch.

The fuck? he wondered what that was as a snow leopard or was that snow leopard an experimented animal that have gained intelligence to speak or something? Troy stared on wondering how the hell he was going to communicate to a team member that's considered an animal? This couldn't be Beast Mode....he been dead since the Meta wars. It was seen on national tv. Who was this individual?

Leah had been enjoying the chocolate buzz when Troy walked in catching her on her back feet in the air purring so she rotated her neck as only a feline can her head coming upright moments before her supple muscular body. She studied this new man inhaling his scent observing his body language and calculating his center of gravity; she was an Apex predator.

Then Anima shifts form from animal to platinum blonde by appearing to become a cloud of black smoke in between forms. Then once in the form of a human woman she assumes an odd body language by seeming to sway gently on the balls of her feet.

If Troy didn't see anything interesting before, he did now. Seeing how the snow leopard changed into a voluptuous platinum haired cutie, Troy's eyebrow raised with his eyes glued to her tits. With a gulp, he averted his eyes away from her.

Well Roy it is so nice to meet you and I must say that you can find anything I can do at your local Zoo…….never met Beastmode.

I am a straight forward person Roy and insist that people be the same way if they can so it doesn’t seem unfair or rude. You don’t need to hide the fact you enjoy looking at me; it is a primal thing to which I am in close touch. I can smell your arousal, hear how your breathing has changed and I an adult female who knows the nature of male, female interaction. Leah giggles or maybe laughs and purs at the same time but it is a positive sound.

Her eye color goes insane and even though she isn’t making a sound it's as if she were laughing.

Celerity took a deep breath and dove into the air and she vibrated so fast her body picked up the pace and caught up as she raced down the side of the skyscraper in a blur of blue. She was trying to top out her speed and see if she could maintain her fastest speeds at different gravitational differences and if not what was the difference in speeds. The problem was she was running so fast that the asphalt beneath her would get so hot from the friction that the shoes that R&D developed for her would melt and so she needed to get them to make her new ones.

Celerity came in barefoot and irritated. She looked at the girl in the office and her mind went blank. She had forgotten her name...again. "Order yourself a name plate for your desk. I'm going up to R&D." She mumbled under her breath as she left the room hoping she didn't realize that Celerity had forgotten her name again. She got into the elevator and halfway up and remembered "Courtney!" She sighed at her trivial idiocy as he memory played with her. She was tired and needed to get more shoes made before she had to go out on a mission. She only had one pair left.

Earlier when she had gotten back from her sudden flying lesson with Kieran she had spoken to Bell and she had been given news that the one person that she wanted to speak to refused to come back to the HQ. It looked like she really was on her own with this league of heroes. Other than the other HQ's that were in various states of decay or reconstruction she had no backup nearby. She put in her pass code and the machine did a retinal scan before allowing her inside. After a few minutes she emerged with a new set of speedster shoes on her feet and she took the stairs all the way down and she went to the kitchen to get a drink.

All throughout his little adventure Kieran had a strange feeling in the back of his mind, almost like a six sense or spidey sense. He knew what it meant but he had ignored it almost entirely while he was flying. Now he had dropped his new friend off, he took off into the sky at speeds much faster than he had previously shown. He had a supressed his powers before, not wanting to show what he was truly capable of. Mainly because, as he did this, he took on a more angelic form which he hated. He wings glistened and became stronger, his eyes glowed, and more started to change but Kieran kept that part of himself in check. He was not his father......

Kieran flew to the other side of the city and landed right outside the city limits. As he did a brilliant blue and white light suddenly appeared. Its appearance shook the very spot of earth where it landed, and the wind seemed to favor the direction that the light appeared at. Slowly, the light dimmed, and the appearance of a man formed. But he was no ordinary man. His wings, huge in span and devastatingly beautiful, folded in which gave even more of a humanoid appearance. The man was dressed in a white robe, golden scandals and bracers, with a golden long sword at his hip. The man had a feather crown in his golden brown hair, with penetrating red eyes........and a halo over his head. The man reached out with one hand. "You should kneel in my presence, for I am God."

Kieran sighed. "Hello.....Lucifer."

Lucifer laughed and reached out with both hands. "Why Kieran please....call me father. You are my and your mothers creation after all."

Kieran rolled his eyes. "I felt your call, now tell me what you want and begone. I have other things to do that involve scrubbing your stench off my clothes."

Lucifer frowned and ran a hand through his hair. His dark red eye glared at Kieran. "Such rudeness.....but it doesnt matter I forgive you. Now....I come with a message actually. I was.....advised by your uncle to warn you. I couldnt care less but....just know that if you bear a child, the assembly of the holy ghost will have no choice but to exterminate you and your spawn."

Kieran laughed. "Thats it? You flew all this way, down to the mortal realm, just to tell me if I reproduce my life is forfeit?" Kieran was very confused, but could not help but find humor. His father reaches out for the first time in months and this was why?

"Hear me my child," Lucifer said ", You are by far one of the most powerful beings to exist. You are the son of the new God, and by Gods will you may live. But the heavens will not chance that your spawn will inherit your angelic gifts, passing on my blood line. It is dangerous, and I will not be able to protect you depsite being God."

Kieran scoffed. "You have NEVER protected me." Kieran turned around and in a huff of rage opened his wings and took off faster than mach 1 speed. He landed on his feet in front of the compound, then strolled in like nothing had happened.

Leah was so amused by watching Roy tie himself with the skill of an Eagle Scout into knots that she leaned closer to him and said My sweet man Roy I am so thrilled that I arouse such instincts in you but I believe you’ve misunderstood my words.

I am not shocked by your descriptive and interesting exclamation I did mention standard social convention but that is unimportant as we are presently alone and none here to be shocked.

You can relax for now for it would be a bad time to weigh my interest in your advances Roy and I did also mention that perception of my true self as a dream girl is often disappointing. I am not exactly human though my mother and father were; I was an Early Bloomer…..I was born a Shapeshifter.

Human Dna is made of 23 chromosome pairs and mine is as low as 4 or as high as 200+ but it is always in flux. They questioned my mom asking her if she might have been abducted by aliens; grasping at straws to explain what i am because by definition I am not human.

Oh don’t pity me I wouldn’t like it but I thought that such honesty as yours sweet Roy deserved some of my own.

Then she just smiles normally and her eyes settle on an unnatural emerald green as she sits on the arm of the couch she was laying on as a leopard.

Celerity tied her shoes and she didn't waste time breaking them in she left the office with an address of a suspected kidnapper and she was going to go in and see if he had the girl they thought he did. He was a serial killer and the cops had to abide by the law...but she didn't. Heroes had more leeway than the cops do. She nearly ran into Kieran on her way out.

"Oh, hey." She stopped and looked at him and saw the tension that had only recently left his face. "Want to go on an investigation mission with me?"

Kieran was suprised to see Celerity, but was no upset. Kieran tried to hide the tension he had from his recent encounter with his father, but he had no doubt he hid it poorly. Kieran stretched his back muscles, properly supressing his power.

Celerity nodded and didn't remark on his expression. "Follow me. We are going to visit a serial killer and see if he is hiding our kidnapped girl." She took off heading towards the country roads south of the city. She broke off of the roads into the wooded area about a mile from his house. It was one of those houses that needed some repairs and a good paint job. Some of the shutters were crooked and there were shades in all of the windows. The ones in the attic had cracks and small pieces missing.

Celerity waited in the treeline til Kieran landed.

Her memories of another day about five years ago returned and she tried to keep from trembling but she had a hard time of it. It had been right after graduation and she had been helping a friend donate some things to the local salvation army. She had been putting things in the donation dumpster when a cloth covered hand had covered her face and she had blacked out. When she had come to, she had found herself in a dark basement that smelled of mildew and of another smell that she would later realize was blood. Celerity's own kidnapper had kept her drugged so she couldn't use her powers. He had made her watch as he had carved up a girl not yet out of high school. Her screams were imprinted in Celerity's head. He had turned his back on her once and she had made him regret it. She had managed to hit him with a weak force sphere. Once he realized that she was a meta he kept her sedated or higher than a kite so she couldn't properly tap into her powers.

Kieran was landing and she looked at him as her mind slammed back to the present and the building in front of them. A chill ran up her spine and she nodded towards the house. "Did you see anything helpful from up there? How do you think we should go in?"
