So Early Access will start within the next 24-or-so hours. I am totally hyped for this :3Unfortunately, it appears that the majority of responses over here are doing an Aldmeri Dominion character. Sorry, but this is unacceptable for me. There is no superior race, only a race that is dumber on social terms than others, and the Aldmeri never had any great social qualities. Heck, even in Morrowind they were scum. The first time I met an Aldmeri in Morrowind was going like "Be gone, vile spawn!". This has not changed once within the Elder Scrolls series, unless you were playing Aldmeri yourself, but even then, the NPCs were like "Nice magic, but I can do WAY better." Just hate those pompous bastards.Sorry, but I keep venturing inside the Ebonheart or check out the Daggerfall regions. I might post my character names over here, once I have gotten back into the game.

I'm gonna have one in each, ultimately, but Ebonheart is my primary. Huzzah for lizards.

I don't care how old this is...

Yes I might actually be RPing in this.

My first character will be my usual, an argonian Dragonknight with my name, "Drakel Pyrohell" I don't focus well so he'd probably be just the same too... HOWEVER I might (probably will) focus purely on either his Dragonknight class OR all of the crafting shit all at once. Either or...

Not sure yet though, sooo... no promises. :p

So the promised "Have settings that zones you with people of the same settings" and assorted things that were supposed to help RPing fell rather short for now. As it seems now, RPing on TESO is limited to people you know already and RP with, or via Guilds.

So I decided to join a RP Guild. It is not a large one as of yet, barely having 20 members, but I have full confidence that it will grow and become a well RP Guild.

The name of the Guild is "Lions of High Rock". It has a website LINK here and will hold it's first meeting tomorrow at 7pm EST. If I can afford to be online at that time (Germany is rather shorthanded with such timezoning >_>), then I will be on then.

And for those that want to add me for the lulz, I am sitting on the NA server, @ZomfgLOLlipop

You should join one or two. You can be in up to five at a time, and you'll need guilds for some normal things (like 'Auction House,' there's no universal market, but each guild has its own auction-store-thing).

Speaking of ESO, to those who have it: Is it worth it?

I've thought about buying it recently and being either a Redguard or an Orc.

I'm still in the honeymoon period of the MMO experience, during which everything that happens is 100% positive and it's all awesome. At some point, I'm sure, the honeymoon period ends, but..... jeez, I just don't see a downside. Well -- subscription fees, I guess, are the downside for most people, but for me it's a positive thing, as it keeps out a lot of the riff-raff that ruin most free online communities. I don't see it as paying $13 a month to play, I see it as paying $13 a month so that shittier people can't play, and that's easily worth it. The game itself is super fun and gorgeous for an MMO, with a very involved and immersive combat (for an MMO, I guess I have to say, but even just in general). You can lose yourself in the world for hours, so.... I mean if that's your thing, I think you'll like it.

I used to lay a lot of MMOs (Ashen's Call, WoW, CoH, Warhammer 40K, ect... ) but most of them I only reached around level 30-40 before stopping. (CoH I was 1 level before the max though... Then account got hacked and they ruined it)

It depends how you prefer to play. The game itself feels rather flat but that is easily countered with how beautiful the world itself is for an MMO. The combat system is really simplified and is more relying on your "reflexes" and response time than your ability to efficiently hotkey and button mash. This means that to block you need to click to block and then click to attack, just how the last two TES games were like (Morrowind you needed a shield to block). Your scream is actually really clean as well so you don't have it cluttered with all your abilities and shit, meaning you can actually enjoy the world around you instead of the 30+ bars of powers... Bad news is that you can't use 30+ powers when you fight shit/people.

Though since I'm a TES fan more than an MMO fan, it was worth it. :)
