Uh, hi. I'm new to this community and all, I just signed up because of how awesome this rp sounded, but I don't know if you're cool with an RG newb joining or not....I know how to RP and all, I just haven't done it on this site before. I am a massive Disney fan, and I'm all for Disney faeries getting some more love, just not sure if you're still accepting any players? I wouldn't want to add one too many to a small party of faeries, so if you've got enough players, I totally understand.

I'd actually started planning yesterday how I was going to fill in the two other spots with my own characters but if you guys want in, that's great!

Anyway I'll be writing a post now! Btw DancePants if you're interested, I can make banners for our characters to put at the top of our posts. I know you said you preferred to keep things writing-focused, but I thought I'd make the offer anyway. I find they help bring the IC to life and break up the walls of text between players, and gives me a clearer picture of who I'm reading about. I always offer to do them in every RP I join, but it's down to you guys if you want them of course haha. (I'd need pictures if you guys decide you like them.) :)
EDIT: Hope it's all right I took some liberties with having Crispin be familiar with Terrance as well, though I can certainly edit that out if it's too buddy-buddy for how close you want the fairies to be with one another. :)
Btw I finally watched Frozen at work yesterday, haha! All I need to do is watch Brave now and I'll be all caught up with Disney movies again. I've just been procrastinating with Merida since I heard so many negative things about her movie... ~___~

Haha, good job Bella! Short and sweet and I liked the incorporation of certain things like the heaviness of wet wings and Ingrid drying herself on a leaf, without actually breaking it off. Just seemed like you were properly thinking about what a fairy would do ;P
Lily, you passed out? That doesn't sound overly good for your health. I've never understood how people can fall asleep while engaged in something. If I'm not in my jammies in a bed then I will stay awake...forever!
Haha but it's fine, I really want to foster a relaxed environment and pace in the Rp so as long as we're all chugging along don't feel rushed.
You know, my bias against using pictures in character biographies is essentially linked to the fact that I personally don't like to use them and resentment caused by the fact that, at least over on my old Rp site of Gaia, it has become commonplace and expected, as has a huge focus on coding posts to look pretty with fonts and graphics and song lyrics and...ugh. It just irks me that it has replaced a written description and I hate using them myself because I'd rather have full control over my character's appearance, and obviously I'm never going to find the exact right picture.
Sooo, thanks very much for the offer but I'm going to have to think on it. I had kind of thought that it might be nice to have graphics for the locations, to put us in the mind of the aesthetic for where we are,
And because it looks like I might be primarily playing cannon characters anyway, that eliminates the problem of me not being able to find an appropriate picture.

Also, minor note. Terence's name is definitely spelled 'Terence'. Not 'Terrance'.
Anyways, I don't know what's going on with Sparx up there but Lily still needs to apply and we're still sorting out the details of Raptor's appearance so I'll wait for those two to get things together and post before I respond, don't wanna move along without them.
I really like how both Ingrid and Crispin just decide to rally to Terence when he's feeling down, really evokes the strong sense of community Pixie Hollow seems to have, I'd hoped for that. =)

Oh no, I absolutely hate when RPs have enormous and convoluted graphics, different color schemes, and all that nonsense that comes with posting haha. I just like seeing some color in RPs, but not to the extent I've seen on Gaia. For that reason I've never RPed there anyway haha. I'm the same way too @ never finding the exact picture. I dislike having to use representations someone else crafted for some other character because I'm not talented enough to bring my thoughts properly to paper. (I'll always add footnotes like, oh the bangs are actually longer than this, and she's chubbier than in the pic but of course you'll never find the right weight, blah blah blah.) Though the gm in this other RP I've been in for about 1.5 years now has spoiled me with his style of banners (a tiny square cast shot with the character's name/rank/class beside it, as the RP's jrpg-based), so I've gotten used to seeing a thin picture at the top of posts. xD Always feels a little bland without colors now, but it's liveable hahaha!
Again, totally understandable if you want to completely shy away from that though haha. :) The offer'll stay an open one hehe!

I'll definitely keep it in mind because a simple little graphic like the examples you posted does seem very nice. And yes! I've definitely wished for amazing artist powers more than once for helping me bring a character to life.
I started roleplaying on Gaia in like 2005 where it was, in my opinion, a much better place to be than it is now. I only ever use it for finding onexone roleplays these days, I find the onexone people there to generally suit me better than RPGuild but the opposite is true for groups.
I hadn't been in a group Rp for literally years before seeking out this place and now I'm running one!
Also, I edited my post above yours in case you missed it =P

Ahh, I did miss your edit! Thanks for pointing it out. XD My bad with misspelling Terence's name. To be honest I always misspell it, even if he's one of my favorite fairies. If you looked at my post close enough before I edited it, I spelled it differently all three times. orz orz orz
And yeah, Crispin's gets really buddy-buddy with people easily. He's the type that thinks everyone loves him, unless it's a mutual dislike. A chick could boot him in the face and send him flying straight into a puddle, and he'll just think to himself, "Oh yeah. She loves me." XD At any rate, I'm relieved you approve hahaha. :)

"Oh my gosh, what's that? What's that!? What's THAT!?"
Deeta would find herself staring at what is called a light fairy, her name was Musa, unlike the other light fairies, she was a very curious one. Trying to to find out if her light with the right mixture of water could produce a seedling on its own. When Musa turned to face Deeta with a questioningly glance she would see this; a girl, maybe in her late teens, chocolate brown hair with streaks of platinum blond running through it in delicate and fancy braids. Her skin tone was a light brown and she had a small bunch of dark brown freckles splayed across her face. Her eyes were brown with flecks of white and gold encased inside, though they were pretty they looked tired and slightly agitated now. Even still, her entire body showed signs of curiosity, all the way to her shimmering white wings that fluttered in odd patterns.
"That Deeta, is a light fairy. They control sunlight and moonlight, without them there would be no warmth or flowers, even the garden fairies need them." The fast flying fairy said lightly, Musa raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms with a sigh. "Yes, I am a light fairy, it is lovely to meet you." Her voice was delicate and sweet, it had a slight accent to it...almost British but with a hint of something else, Welsh maybe? Scottish even?
The fast flying fairies sighed and started to push Deeta along, it appeared they had never been fans of light faeries, what a shame, I could have shown them a thing or two. Maybe later then. Musa thought to herself, but Deeta appeared interested. With a small flutter of her wings she was next to Musa. "What are you doing?" Musa looked back over to her, it was nice to know someone was interested. "I'm trying to make flowers, like a garden talent. Seeing as they need sunlight to help them I propose that light fairies are the key to it in all reality. You can't grow something without light and water." She replied, it was very clear that she was deep in thought. Deeta didn't stop questioning though. "B-But, I thought we could all do only one thing? Isn't that how it goes? Right? Because um...we all have our talents, yes? I met one man with a bazillion talents! He had the ability to control fire! It was flaptastic!"
Musa sighed and muttered something incomprehensible, this fairy was already on the wrong track. "We have been finding out so many new things! It doesn't have to be that way! I think we all have more then one talent, we just haven't gotten far enough into it, and I'm not saying I'm that curious it's just a theory that I've been working on. And I can see you've taken up fairy sla-" "Hey, wait up just a second. I think it is time for us to go, now Deeta." The fast flyer snapped, Musa rolled her eyes when she had gotten cut off. Things like those were quite unfair.
Deeta seemed broken, she was just a curious little fairy, it downed her to not be able to ask questions. But instead of giving up she stayed in her place and sighed. "No, I don't want to yet! We just got here." She stomped her foot on the ground a couple of times to make it clear she was aggravated. This clearly amused Musa as she chuckled and tilted her head, her hair now swinging from side to side in a jumble of platinum and chocolate. "If Deeta wants to stay she should be allowed to."
The fast flyers looked befuddled. They shook their heads and grabbed Deeta by the arms prison style as they started to fly away, Deeta just shrugged and flew with them a bit.
"Man was that strange, I didn't like it at all." Musa muttered as she went back to her soil and started to work with the sun.

Oh my! Musa is lovely, Lily! I really like the fact that she is challenging the conventions of Pixie Hollow society, that's really going to bring up some interesting points and deconstruct the seemingly idealistic setting they live in. I had hoped to delve into issues like that in the Rp but I chose not to mention it lest people think I was going for an overtly darker/more mature setting, I like the balance you've put into your post, just be careful not to go overboard with it, though, it's still supposed to be a generally optimistic setting.
I also think you did a great job describing your fairy's appearance, good job on that front.
You are hearby accepted into the Rp, please enjoy your stay and post at your leisure ^_^
Also, in contradiction of what I said earlier, given that I am not usually too active over weekends (tomorrow is Saturday for me but since the Rp is just finding its feet, I may pop in once or twice) I may try and get a post up tonight. That way everyone will have something to reply to while I'm gone and it'd make more sense if more people joined in with Terence's task as it went along anyway, rather than just piling in at the start.
And yes, Crispin is a fire talent. I did say in the intro stuff that people can run wild with their talents, given the ludicrous amount of specialised talents that appear across the movies, books and games.

I just read them all as 'Terrance' but I don't think one was spelled 'Terence' =P I looked it up just to be sure since it really irks me when people use contradicting spellings of stuff, it didn't matter who was right as long as we were all on the same page.
