Can I ask that Union Jack be moved to walking the line? Because it was my intent that he not be a clear cut hero but more in a grey moral and legal area. I mean, he does kill people and break laws but he does it for S.H.I.E.L.D.

@Roosan Sam Wilson does the same, but it's more a "Kill or be killed."

I think that's the distinction, if he goes out the way and will kill them no matter what. That's WTL. Though if he'd rather there was an alternative, but will kill if necessary. He can probably still be classed as a hero.

It's not just the killing, it's that S.H.I.E.L.D. is essentially above the law. I mean, I don't see S.H.I.E.L.D. getting permission before launching an operation on a sovereign nation's soil or respecting human rights when dealing with meta-human prisoners. Much like real life espionage agencies, what they do might be necessary but that doesn't make it morally appealing or easy to describe as the actions of a hero.

That was how I was intending to play the character, anyhow. Not as a kill-crazy murderer but as someone who doesn't think twice about killing for the greater good as they see it, a trait that applies to many villains as well.

@Roosan Technically in most continuities S.H.I.E.L.D has the right, thanks to treaties, to work on foreign soil. Though of course there are some exceptions in countries that don't allow S.H.I.E.L.D to operate within their borders, such as Barbuda, Boca Caliente, Latveria and for some reason, Malta.

But then again, they sometimes break these rules and other rules to do what needs to be done, you are correct. I just wanted to point this out encase rather than choosing WTL you felt obligated.

Thought I'd say, I'm not planning on doing much more inter-dimensional stuff in the future! Once i'm done with the current mini-arc i'm doing, it's back to regular heroics and stuff! Just wanted to do something reminiscent of the AVENGERS #0 they released at the start of ANAD Marvel!
