[OOC] Star Wars: A New Beginning

BTW: I edited my "Propositions for shared backstory" but want you guys to tell me what you think... cause I got LOT of liberties:

They are not quite conscious of it, but Fixer and Loinen have met before: the droid was on board during the pirate attack that costed him his freedom, but was hided by security units instants before the assault, allowing the ship to return safely once abandoned by the corsairs. Viik and Grobul were "smuggled" alongside Fixer several years before, by noneless than Marduk "the man" himself, who also had had businesses with Loinen. In fact, during that travel, Loinen was outsourcing Marduk to get the droid, the cook and the Twi'lek to the outer rim. After a few "Imperial encounters" the passengers were forced to help Marduk and his shiny new pilot, Mussuka, to jump out of the pan. That, and the amazing discovery of Grobul's state-of-the-art corellian pancake recipe, ended up by deciding the fact that they could easily work together. And that's what has been happening, while no one takes droid oil as if it was endorian sirup.

Though we would have to watch a bit for inconsistencies. With a bit of tweaking I wouldn't mind it too terribly, however it's not solely up to me. If the others agree them i'm down.

@POOHEAD189 Seeing as someone prior to you submitted a CS for the bounty hunter role it may very well come down to who can make the more interesting character, unless of course frapet is willing to have more than one hunter in the rp. It'd add an extra bit of difficultly for the crew, which is good for the sake of the role play in my opinion. I'm thinking this could go one of three ways if frapet accepts two bounty hunters: the first being that they two bounty hunters operate as separate entities entirely, the second is that they're willing to work together and split the profit, and the third is that they're competitors who aren't above doing something underhanded to ensure the other guy doesn't get the pay day before they do. Whichever way this goes it'll add a bit of pressure that helps us to avoid the monotonous rut that space opera types like this can get into.

The idea is that we all met more or less at the same time, while travelling to the Outer Rim. The droid isn't really the junction point. The Smugglers fill those roles better, I think

Here's the long and short of my character's profession, just to give some perspective:

The short answer: He's a "bounty hunter" by contractual obligation only.

The long answer: Since he came from an Imperial Intelligence Agent/Special Ops background, he generally despises Bounty Hunters (and Mandalorians) as being careless and dishonorable, but this of course is his own personal opinion and not at all fact.

So having @POOHEAD189 as a "competing" Mandalorian BH would be interesting since my character would see him as more of a brutish, thoughtless killer than a professional of anything. Our motives, skill set, fighting styles, tactics, etc will be different as well.

Of course your characters won't know any of this, but figured I would give a bit of insight nonetheless :)

Backstory up until flying on the the Milano:Sol'id was born on the Twi'Lek homeworld Ryloth, being raised among the nomadic Fist clan who'd made their home in the equitorial jungle. The clan had just recently landed, fighting their way through harsh temperatures and wild beasts. They tried to make a foothold among the terrible conditions and built forts, beginning to train young Mandalorians through spartan conditions and intense sessions of survival, combat, and work outs. By age 13, Sol'id and his peers were sent into the wilderness into the Darklands, and were told to survive together and travel into the Brightlands through 200 miles of wilderness. Only Sol'id and 13 others lived out of the 87 of them. Sol'id had a shield made of a Gutkurr carapace.

Clan Fist were Neo crusaders, trying to rebuilt their population to spew forth from Ryloth and conquer worlds. But it seemed there weren't enough of them, and their project that lasted a mere generation was destroyed. It was then that they were attacked by those they deemed their allies. Their fellow Mandalorians. Sol'id was 19 when the 'True Mandalorians' showed up, taking advtantage of the Fist Clans isolationist tendancies and lack of Mandalorian Civil War knowledge to eradicate them efficiently. Sol'id killed 3 of his supposed 'Brother's and fled with a small group of the Fist clan upon a stolen freighter, making it offworld.

From that point on, they decided they would part ways and become Bounty Hunters. So'lid found himself under the employ of one Jabba the Hutt, doing dirty bounties no one else would touch and gaining a reputation as a dependable and ruthless hunter. He gained his rocket launcher after finding an abandoned colony that had been used by the CIS, where one of his leads had led him to. He had to kill a few B2 Battle droids, and was nerely decimated by their rockets. He decided to get one for himself. His most trying mission was escorting a crack pilot named Saayed who owed Jabba 40,000 credits to get the payment. Apparently Saayed had made a deal that helped him kill his sister and her trandoshan lover. They succeeded, and Sol'id was paid handsomly, granting him his ship. He was then given another job...
