I mean not necessarily. He seemed to take a large amount of the expansion region however the core systems such as sol and alpha centurion seem open. Plus let's not forget these successor states will bow before the true empire or die.

If I say for instance that my nation lives on Rainbow Unicorn Planet 9000 in the stellar constalation of Fluffy Ducks (names are placeholder) then does it have to compare to reality in comparison with the RP? Can I be neighbour to a person if in reality my star system is on the other side of the galaxy? I am just figuring how distances and exploration would work...

@6slyboy6 Well, technically we can interact with anyone, space being boundless and with hyperdrives and all, but probably wouldn't make much sense in "being" neighbors when living far from one anothers location. Unless someone can tell me otherwise.
